Yeah the way our culture has socially engineered the women is for them to find " true happiness with prince charming and live happily ever after" they can be divorced twice in 5 years and they'll still believe the right one is out there. Maybe it is. Statistically speaking 2nd,3rd, and fourth marriages have higher divorce rates than 1st marriages.

If you tell women you never want to get married again this should be expected. Very few will be okay with this idea even after you explain your good reasoning. They want to get married normally and you are crushing that dream. I normally tell women that I would never rush into marriage with being someone for a long time and only with a prenup. If they say they were hoping to have children and how can that happen in a reasonable amount of time if we end up waiting 7 or 10 years then you just say why do you need to be married to have kids. Most children are born outside of marriage.

You are 100% right on meeting your children, but leave some room for an exception if she is spending a lot of time with you. If she is sleeping over at your place 3 or 4 nights a week I would probably shorten that to 4 month instead of 6 months. You should evaluate and adjust based on her presence in your life.

Been there. Divorced over a decade ago. Bitter af the entire time. Finding flaws in women, setting boundaries, never going to get married again, etc. But then you’ll meet HER and you’ll feel you’ve arrived home. Point here, mate, is that you tend to set boundaries when you hook up with chics who are wrong for you. When you’ll meet HER, not the best looking/not the youngest/not the healthiest, the boundaries and other bs go down the shitter bc she completes you - you feel whole again.

What's crazy is to me these are totally respectable boundaries not even crazy imo. Someone who isn't willing to keep the relationship because the government won't recognize their marriage is dodging a bullet anyways

I never bring up relationship. They have to bring it up. And when they do, I set the boundaries. I'll have to lay it out there... Guys want sex, women want relationships. This is not true generally, but usually it is. If they don't like the boundaries, good riddance.

Boundaries are good. Helps weed out who may be serious or just playing around or may just not be ready for something serious at that time. Dating kinda sucks tbh after divorce and especially if you are older, it's just pretty hard to find someone that really meshes or clicks. Just have to be hopeful that the right person comes along.

My vibe after divorce is very different than who I was before marriage. It used to be that I would bend over backwards for my partner. Now though... Do I really need to work that hard for a dead bedroom and the duty to give you half my money?

You have boundaries and you’re maintaining those. That’s a win. I believe a lot of them can’t help but want to control everything from the beginning. They want you to be the man that has boundaries and takes charge but simultaneously try to test those until they find a weak spot to assert dominance . I don’t know if this is by design or by programming but the vast majority I’ve met are so similar to what I divorced that I’m starting to believe in the phrase “ Get a dog, die alone”
