Ofc! NAM, sure. I know men who are absolute gems, yeah, whatever. But I think we all know someone or met a woman atleast ONCE who was highly educated, attractive, likeable, independent, and self sufficient, aND YET.....she had “issues with dating”.

You know who I’m talking about! We all have a girlfriend like this, and if you don’t, that girl is you. Why does she have issues with getting men to settle down and see her “for real” (no fwb) ?? Why is her “man” liking other girls booty pics? Why is her man playing her like a fool? Why is she texting you crying because her man was negatively comparing her to other women? Why is she stressing that he won’t “wifey” her?.....this bomb ass woman. YOU KNOW WHY!

Simply: men have an inflated sense of their market value, they project their delusions onto women, and therefore do not match the modern woman in “value”, to be blunt. In their mind, they are always the player looking to “upgrade”.

Men say women are hypergamous but expect an IG model when they look like Adam sandler (no hate to my man adam but he is always in those movies with a MODEL on HIS arm??!!! No wonder men overestimate their value, culture tells them they deserve a “hot girl”.....)

The average Joe has an unbelievable sense of entitlement toward women, and even brazen overconfidence.

Yall are some smart, good women, and I swear every damn day there’s a SC of some unappealing man saying some shit to yall like

“idk, if you’re not cool with me watching hardcore incest porn I don’t see us being together” / “let’s have an open relationship” / “wait! Let’s not have an open relationship! Who is he on your Snapchat, babe?” / “If you don’t do (x) another girl will”

Stop stressing about whether or not a man who is NOT equal to you in looks, education, personality or even BASIC KINDNESS will marry you. You yourself are a power house on your own. You don’t need that mind game stress.

I remember a woman posting her hand sporting an engagement ring. Everyone called her "queen." While becoming engaged is generally a higher level of commitment for a woman, there's no guarantee that he'll continue to love her the way she deserves. We should always take that into account. We can wish the person the best, but our experiences show that marriage doesn't always help the matter.
