Is it just me ... I get upset after a breakup for like a week or 2 then I feel sheer relief because I’m seeing the ‘relationship’ for what it really was, from a clear objective more rational viewpoint, away from them. And I realise- wait did I even WANT that? Did I even want him and his lifestyle? It’s amazing how boring they look when the specs & fake lovebombing wears off. Lol then I just get a surge of happiness & remember who tf I am again hair flick FREEDOM

Yes because they tricked you into wanting them back by mirroring all your good qualities - when they can no longer trick you...you will find you do not want who they really are. And the ‘relationship’ gets very stale & stinky because their mask dropped off. You do not want their mediocre stifling lifestyle they fluffed up with lies & smoke either. You will realise they didn’t deserve the chance you gave them.
Like the lovebombing etc- it isn’t real. You’re in love with the act. With who they pretend to be. When that falls away you start to see how small minded, controlling, boring, insecure & monotonous they are! It makes the breakup 100 x easier! You just saved yourself a whole lot of bullshit.

I just broke up with someone because he was drinking alcohol on his lunch break at work (he had five drinks). I saw that as a huge red flag so I called it off, it sucked at first but now I feel so much relief not having to deal with him being low effort and last minute with his plans. Now more stuff about him is coming out because his friends starting telling me all this stuff about him. I realized I dodged a bullet

I sadly try and un-dust them. Stop them from using 3-in-1 or 2-in-1, have them use lotion and washclothes. Without being in charge of someone’s grooming, life is better

my bestfriend and I went thru our breakups six months apart from each other and our life has never been better. Showed this to her and we had a good laugh over beers after working on our garden. Forever grateful that I’m surrounded by HVWs and working on being one myself.

This time last year I finally got my shitty ex to move out after I ended things on January 2020 and the relief I felt when he was gone was amazing. A month later I moved somewhere else and the energy was so different in a place that didn't have his presence at any point.
