This is my first post because I usually just lurk a lot but today I just had to voice my opinion. So I was scrolling on Facebook and came across this post: pickme mom

It made me uncomfortable that the mom is okay and praising her son for calling the girl a prostitute. I thought things would get better for HVW and their daughters but pickmes make things worse. Now our daughters/future daughters can’t ask for a proper date without being called a prostitute? Teenage boys paying for their dates tickets is a normal part of the teenage dating experience. I know some parents who don’t want their daughter dating until 16 bc they say 1. At 16 most teenagers have a car to pick the daughter up from the date and drop them off and 2. At 16 most teenagers have jobs to pay for the date. These types of mothers are the ones who make their daughters feel bad for wanting a proper date but says nothing when their daughter is miserable and getting used by dustys. Also notice how all the other moms are in the comments talking about how they’re teaching their sons the SAME things?! But anyways do you guys think I’m overreacting or is this apart of pickme culture?
