I'm not exactly sure how to phrase this, but one of the most common criticisms men seem to get is that if there's a problem with the idea of toxic masculinity, the solution must be feminine in nature.

Sort of like how the idea that men can't open up emotionally means that the only solution is to behave more feminine. Or basically "act like women."

It seems to be that the general issue is rooted in society and not just male culture. But my friends answer to this is usually just behave more feminine.

What are your thoughts? I really resent the idea that the issues men face could be solved by just acting more feminine. I don't think it's fair to think that women have a monopoly on how to deal with emotions. And truthfully it really just shuts down any meaningful conversation and turns into a blame men fest. When it isn't just men's fault that there is an issue with male loneliness and difficulties processing emotions.
