this has been something i’ve been wondering. does a greater understanding of dating issues comefrom older men you know or women your own age?

my predictions: i think this will be sort of split, probably leading towards older men. but from what i understand many guys here think that older men are very out of touch (this will be relative to your own age since there are some older posters here).

in my experience, through conversions i’ve had with older men on this topic (mostly my dad) they don’t understand the complaints of younger men. my dad thinks that men today struggle because they are too feminine and don’t act like men anymore which i think is a typical conservative gen x/boomer response.

most of my family is very conservative so their perspective on current dating is that young women are too sexual and that young men are pussies.

as for the young women i know, they are mostly only aware of men’s issues through social media which is mostly rage bait content which doesn’t help with actually understanding the issues.

of course, this will all be relative to your age.

edit: this can include irl and online discussions.
