IIRC, her issues came from the loss of identity and distance from her normal social groups. It isn't the smoking gun of pussy passes this post seems to think it is. I think it’s important to state that her depression actually stemmed from losing touch with her identity for 18 months and the feelings of betrayal through the relationships she made along the way. I'm not too sure that this is necessarily evidence that women have it easier because there are a lot of transgender people who transition both ways and they are a) usually happier as the gender they transition to regardless of which way they transition and b) a lot of them seem to still believe in feminism and male privilege despite having experienced both sides. I think it’s important to be able to gain that perspective of the “other side”. Unfortunately, it’s socially unacceptable to do what she did as a guy.

That being said, men are constantly told how they’ve fucked up and are made to always listen and prioritize women and their issues, even when said women won’t even lift an eyebrow for them. And I think a lot of gender problems in this world could be solved if people were willing to listen to the other side.
