20 year old girl here (young woman? idk). This probably won't get noticed but I just wanted to say thank you to you guys. My parents divorced when I was 2 years old, and they were legally granted equal custody of me. I spent my entire life up until I was 18, spending 100% equal time with both my parents. Yet, my mother still demanded that he pay child support, even though he made less money than she did. She would often not let me see him, and threaten him if he couldn't pay her. This obviously infuriated me and I challenged her on it numerous times but to no avail. My dad and I are extremely close and it honestly broke my heart, I would secretly call him at night and he would sometimes just break down into tears on the phone with me when I was 10-12 years old because she wouldn't let me see him. I won't go into my beliefs, because I'm freakin' 20 and have conflicting, contrary and probably super under-educated opinions. But I wanted to say thank you for what you're doing, because no one should have to deal with such ridiculous injustice and I hope that we see some change in Custody/Divorce laws in the coming years. So thank you.
