Mensrights appears to be blocked at my school. Reddit, SRS and the rest are not.

Follow up by showing the admins a good representative thread that shows misogynists being bashed, and lots of good discussion. There are plenty of such threads to choose from.

Check to see if radfemhub.com is banned. By any measure this is a hate site.

The banning or categorization of man's rights site as hate sites is becoming insidious. AvFM is completely banned from Wikipedia and Uk Mobile categorizes a whole raft of MRM sites as hate sites. There is a systemic problem here.

Well, I have run several different web filters in my last couple of jobs. Seeing that you can get to reddit except /r/mensrights, and the message says it's a custom list, your filter admin has explicitly blocked /r/mensrights.

Sounds to me like that person needs to justify why we're blocked but not the easily provable shithole subreddits that exist here. SRS comes to mind. TwoX and a whole bunch of rabid feminist circle-jerks too (in my book).

I could block a bunch of stuff here at work, but what I'd block would raise a huge stink.

I wouldn't imagine this would be the problem, but did you try going to any other pages on the subreddit? I notice that there is a "3d" in the visible part of the URL in the image, so I'm wondering if it could have been part of the random string that violates the policy (maybe it says "3ds" and that's blocked, or there is another blocked term in there).

You could complain, but I assume the feminists already beat you to it. Problem is when people are saying something is hate speech, and another group comes out in favor of something that's already been called hate speech by the first group, the school will have to decide whether it's hate speech or not. Unfortunately this decision will most likely not involve actually looking at the subreddit and will instead consist the school leaving it blocked and saying "we looked into this matter" and nothing else.
