This is the opposite of pussy pass denied- it’s pussy pass confirmed.

[–]Citizen_Karma 867 points868 points869 points 7 years ago (130 children) | Copy Link

It’s just been completely disregarded and treated like it never happened. This woman should be in jail. The hypocrisy is infuriating.

[–]ultimatedray15 655 points656 points657 points 7 years ago (97 children) | Copy Link

She belongs in prison for the rest of her life. Not only did she drug and rob men, she ADMITTED to at least 5 felony level assaults. She's a fucking piece of shit, no talent "rapper" and anyone who defends her is a fucking dipshit.

Damnit, now I'm heated.

[–]Swuftyyy1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (57 children) | Copy Link

tbf like every rapper ever raps about committing atleast 5 felony level assaults

[–]ultimatedray15 229 points230 points231 points 7 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

She brags about it though. A few weeks ago at a concert she said "I ain't going to jail, I got a kid to look after" or some bullshit like that. If you've got a kid to look after, don't commit crimes??

[–]Swuftyyy1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

for sure she should be in jail the world is just fucked tbh, some famous influencer or rapper goes to jail for assault, or robbery, and the first thing you see if people posting free _____ this and that, like if they didn't do the crime they wouldn't do the time

[–]andimlost 48 points49 points50 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Like the free tayk thing when that kid killed like 2 people and assualted another 2 or 3.

[–]bunnysuitfrank 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, that dude is a major piece of shit. He even did shit after he was thrown in jail. Multiple murders, assaults, and robberies before you’re even 18.

[–]tMoohan 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What's a couple of lives when you got bars /s

[–]jamesick 32 points33 points34 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

cardi b is a piece of shit but many rappers brag about their crimes either through music or out of music and face no repercussions.

[–]rmimsmusic 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except Bobby Shmurda. Granted he admitted to a crime while there was literally an ongoing investigation into who committed said crime.

I think Cardi's admissions were after the statute of limitations.

[–]ffarias_ykt -5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

This! If you complain about Cardi B only YOU are the one making it about gender.

EDIT: They hated Jesus because he told them the truth.

[–]okayokay7100 13 points14 points15 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Lmfaooooooo so those rappers bragging in their songs doesn’t count? They literally profit off bragging about their crimes. You can’t pick and choose either all of them bragging about crimes isn’t okay or it is. If any of y’all listen to Jay Z, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage you’re fucking hypocrites.

[–]helemikro 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Pretty sure there’s a law that song lyrics can’t be used as evidence, so while it’s Highly likely they did commit those crimes, the court can’t do anything to them because they are song lyrics EdiT: spelling

[–]ivantheperson 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think that exists because lyrics have been used to put people away. Bobby shmurda’s song hot nigga’s lyrics were used in his trial. Same thing with Tay-k’s the race

[–]re_Pete 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"Shmurda has asserted that the lyrics represent his real life in several interviews, though the Supreme Court of New Jersey recently ruled that lyrics cannot be read at trial as evidence unless they have a "strong nexus" to a specific crime."

[–]ivantheperson 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh damn I guess I misread something but I just looked it up and for tayk they DID use the lyrics along with the video

[–]Burgundy_johnson 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i agree. it is huntley likely.

[–]carterburkefuckyou -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I haven't even heard of some of those people and certainly don't listen to their output, but it would seem you have a point.

[–]ripyurballsoff 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I read this in her voice and disgusted myself

[–]alreadyawesome 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The CPC should get that child.

[–]ultimatedray15 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Happy cake day!

Yeah, that would be so poetic...

[–]ProudBBCOwner 48 points49 points50 points 7 years ago* (10 children) | Copy Link

The difference is they rapped about it in a song and there's many rappers who were arrested when it turned out what they were rapping about did happen. She straight got on a live and confessed 😓

[–]Roook36 16 points17 points18 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

To be completely honest it would be impossible to convict her without a victim.

Say she wasn't just talking shit and it was true. If she turned herself into the police and said she did this, and signed a confession and everything, unless someone came forward as a victim the most she'd get is a psych evaluation.

No judge, jury, or prosecutor would try to bring a case against her without witnesses, victims, or evidence and just her word. You can't just confess to shit and they will say "well, if you say so I guess we gotta lock you up!"

[–]postmodern_humanoid 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Whether or not she can be convicted doesnt change the fact she literally admitted to it and shes a piece of shit who shouldnt have fans.

[–]Roook36 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Admitted/made up a story. No way to tell. Definitely not a pussypass keeping her out of jail though. Just a normal "no proof any crime was ever committed" pass. Same one you or I have.

If you're wondering why anyone would say publicly that they committed a crime when they didn't well... you're talking about her.

[–]postmodern_humanoid 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

I dont believe OPs image was necessarily referring to a pussypass in terms of convicting her, but rather in terms of her getting a pussypass socially because people are still hiring her and her fans still support her. because apparently nobody cares enough that this chick drugged and robbed men, but if a man drugged* and robbed 5 women he would not have any fans or public acceptance.

I think she is getting a pussypass because I strongly believe a male artist would lose his career if he had admitted to the things Cardi B admitted to.

I dont think anybody is holding their breath on the incompetent and overburdened legal system suddenly taking it upon themselves to investigate and convict a famous female rapper for years old crimes. Besides, nobody was charging her for these crimes or attempting to convict her, it was just the fact that she admitted to doing it years ago that caused the scandal. Nobody, even her, probably even knows who the victims are anyways.

[–]BabySharkFinSoup4 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I mean, Rick Ross rapped “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.”

He lost a shoe deal but other than that no one really cared. Sooo I don’t know, maybe it’s less bad because he didn’t say he robbed them, or maybe he got a pass too?

And let’s be real, tons of celebs have shady links and still thrive.

[–]69chucknorris69 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This! Very well put.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She didn't admit to raping anyone, just said she robbed them. Which as rappers go is pretty low level.

[–]postmodern_humanoid1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

my bad that was a typo corrected raped to drugged*

[–]Wildfire_08 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I never liked this whole "because you're talking about her"

Because it's not like I'll ever buy her music... I literally never googled her, never talk about this hoe in any other space apart from a couple of threads on reddit.

So me talking about her benefits her in no way at all, because if I read that tomorrow shes dead then that's a good day, at no point will she ever benefit from me financially.

[–]EDP528 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No artistic license to be had on a straight confession

[–]KEKconfusa1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (19 children) | Copy Link

and millions of kids aspire to be criminals and pharmaceutical drug addicts just like their 'artist' false idols.

when dissected and contemplated deeply, hardly anything comes close to the generational evils that small hat invented, pharmaceutical sponsored, modern day hip hop causes..

just because it has been normalized, doesn't makes it any less evil.

my OG inspired nephew was recently listening to a new track by some xanax addicted drug addict, going on about how you haven't made it until you're fucking a new 'hole' everyday.. on pharmaceuticals.. 😶

zero exaggeration..

Pop pills, objectify, beat, rape and murder women, police, judges and of course, murder the fuck out of other young, hip hop inspired males..

With a good beat..

Then cry racism when people have had enough or speak out about how disgusting and degenerate hip hop culture is (msm calls it black culture).. and you have one of the greatest evils ever perpetuated on humanity.

[–]Martelliphone -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

So your "OG inspired nephew" listens to shit music and you immediately dismiss the entire genre as being exactly the same? Logical, well thought out argument.

[–]KEKconfusa1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link

Give me your list of mainstream 'rappers' that aren't peddling objectification of 'bitches', promoting pharmaceutical drug abuse or criminal activity?

[–]Martelliphone 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

"mainstream" is literally whatever is popular at the time so that's a pretty dumb question, any genre at any point can have people making songs about literally anything. There's been clean rappers advocating clean lifestyles since the beginning of rap. But if you want specific current day examples to listen to then chance the rappers new album (which I personally don't like) is literally a 77 minute tribute to his wife and how great his life his as a drug free married man of God. He's a top selling rapper who donates and does community outreach programs in his hometown of Chicago. There's other examples as well, including rappers who WERE on drugs and now rap about how much better it is to be off of them.

Any person who dismisses an entire genre off of a few select examples is ignorant, end of discussion. Find me a genre with zero bad songs, this is difficult as there's no force stopping joe shmo from making a jazz song about popping oxys and objectifying women (as if these are new themes exclusive to rap and totally not regularized by rock and roll).

Enter your current situation - YouTube and the internet in general has allowed many small voices in music to spread much farther than ever before, in every genre. There are more positive rappers than ever and subsequently more negative rappers than before. But this has nothing to do with the genre, merely the people you choose to listen to. Which brings me back to your nephew being anecdotal, equivalent to me dismissing all of rock bc I heard a song about sex and drugs once.

You don't have to like rap or any genre, but generalizing anything - even if you feel right - is a broad assumption, and one which anyone who actually knows what you're talking about will see through.

[–]KEKconfusa1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

I think you became so offended you missed my point..

Thug inspired hip hop can be generalized without including YouTube stars..

You could use your look the other way argument for any subject, including something as absurd as terrorists.. I'm sure they ALL aren't bad.. I'm sure some of them don't want to decapitate the infidel, or religiously rape children of the enemy, but that sure as fuck doesn't dismiss generalizing terrorists.

I can do the same with pedophiles or even women that 'choose' to kill their babies.. Sure, a small percentage of them abort for health issues or because of rape or incest, and this astronomically small percentage is what is used to push 'womens choice' propaganda, even though the vast majority make the choice as a form of birth control..

This very argument is the reason NY recently passed day of birth abortions to cheers and applause..

[–]Martelliphone -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

It's not a "look the other way" argument, it's literally a "don't judge a group by the actions of a few" which does NOT apply to terrorists or pedophiles and has absolutely nothing to do with abortion law.

Is rock only about sex with groupies and doing cocaine?

Are all Americans school shooters?

It's really not a hard idea to grasp, racism is too easy of an example to even use.

What music genre do you listen to, since raps so bad?

[–]KEKconfusa1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Drugs, Sex and Rock & Roll is a pretty iconic saying, soo, bad example..

And are you trying to argue that rappers that rap about crime, objectification of women and drug abuse represent the 'few'?

That is preposterous, especially since your list of one consisted of yt star chance the rapper..

I listen to most music, including degenerate hip hop from time to time, but I don't live in a delusional world where they aren't degenerating culture and influencing children on levels never seen before.

Don't believe me, ask a 10 yr old what lean is.. Ask them what xanax is.. Or percocet.. They'll tell you and then sing a 'bar'.

I've seen the damage it does first hand and it is an epidemic that has yet to reach the fake outrage public eye.., even in Canadian high schools.

And I doubt you are really grasping the affects taking benzodiazepines during brain development are?

For middle age women that want to kill themselves sure, they act as great tranquilizers, but popularizing these types of substances through entertainment avenues is demonic.

Can you imagine a Marvel movie where the superheroes all took copious amounts of permanent, personality altering drugs meant for suicidal depressants, and raved about how good it feels to fuck on 'popped pills'?

There is also a direct correlation between a massive spike in big pharma profits with these very substances and the modem hip hop artists singing about them. Less than a decade ago it was UNHEARD of. It was basic drinking gin & juice, OE's, marijuana and some psychedelics in the 60's/70's.. That was it for 80 years of music, and now they even rap about fucking on meth..

You'll see it for yourself soon enough. There's no way after having this conversation that it won't stick out more and more. Then you'll start to notice msm defending thugs and trying to attribute their criminal behaviour to black culture..

Maybe you should look into the history of rap and the elitest billionaires that financed every 'gangster' rapper from the very beginning, literally creating the genre and in turn destroying black culture.

Look into what black culture was before hip hop and crack came onto the scene and then compare it with what you see today.

[–]Martelliphone1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Here I'm biting and responding to this.

How does it being an iconic saying make it true for the whole genre? If you believe that you are a complete idiot unable to think past your small world view.

I'm saying that yes, the majority of rappers don't encourage the use of drugs/objectifying women/ crime. They do rap ABOUT it as that's relevant to their lives and thus music.

Chance is not a "yt star" he's made his image solely through independent free music releases. But if you want more examples then Kendrick Lamar, j Cole, "peace and positivity" logic, smino, and a million other artists.

"Degenerate hip hop" so you choose to listen to what you consider degenerative? You sound so ignorant, you clearly have little actual experience listening to rap. And no the delusional world you live in is the one where people making music about problems in their communities = them causing the problems.

I have 4 nephews/nieces from 9 - 15 and aside from the 15 year old who would answer "a drug" (same kid btw who hates weed and thinks it'll make him lazy, yet listens to only rap) none of them will know what those are... Not that they don't go through a drug education program in school where they'll be introduced to those and many more drugs in person, they just won't remember the names bc they're kids and don't care or really understand what a drug is or does.

"Epidemic" you're a madman, same type as the people who said rock was an epidemic ruining America and instilling devil worship in the youth.

I don't need a lesson on drugs ik what they do, that's not what the discussion is about.

Marvel movies? Are we talking about child rappers or adult rappers? I can't believe you really think comparing drug rap to superheroes using drugs is a legitimate comparison.

How about this, imagine the movie blow, without any cocaine. That's what you're asking for, you're asking for kids who grew up around drug use and were affected and or are still affected by it, to not talk about it - as if that'll make the problems go away.

The spike in pharma profits correlating to increased references in music only proves that they did in fact sell more and that there are in fact more drugs in the world. Just bc the sales of iPhones increasing correlate with the references to iPhones ≠ rappers causing people to buy iPhones.

Also artists and people in general have been popping pharmaceuticals since before hip hop even existed so get out of here with that bullshit. Let's just ignore ludes and the shear number of rock stars that died from overdoses. But again, this just shows how truly disconnected you are.

Those billionaires are exactly the same as every other wealthy person who invests in young profitable musicians. Artists have been whored out by the elite since the beginning, this did not "literally create the genre" as that's not how genres work, and once again shows you know absolutely nothing about the roots of hip hop and how it originated.

[–]Martelliphone0 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I didn't finish reading this rant bc I've argued with people as out of touch as you are and it's pointless, we'll never agree so just have a good night

You sound like such a miserable person. Your post history is all crazed and angry rants. I hope you come to find peace, calmness, and happiness in your life. All of this anger and aggression is not good for your wellbeing. God Bless.

[–]KEKconfusa1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

I take it by your response that you're a fan of modern day hip hop?

You also start your blurb with judgement, confess to checking my previous posts, and end with God bless?

I am guessing you don't really care, but heres a dollop of my truth just in case you were being genuine.., I'm pretty content with life, things could be better sure, but I am financially secure, health is tip top, and my greatest recent accomplishment has been helping turn my young nephews life around from being a drug addict zombie, whom at 16 was snorting lines of extasy, cocaine, xanax and sipping lean (high school kids favorite - codeine and cough syrup - made famous by modern day hip hop idols) with his drug addled mother, who never grew up, listens to hip hop and at 47 years of age, wants to fuck people up, drink hennessy, snort lines and pop pills.. 😶 Strangely, there are thousands of songs that co-opt her lifestyle..

Nephew was a former A student that now couldn't string a sentence together, keep eye contact for more than a second or hold his urine in.. Literally pissing himself from the pharmaceutical damage.. I reluctantly dropped 6k on a two week vacation (it really seemed like a lost cause) convinced him that his party slut mother was evil as fuck, and within one year 3 months of him moving in, he's making 60k a year where I work, acquired drivers licence, car, stopped pissing himself, full sentences, meaningful conversations, steady eye contact and get this, the son of a bitch is fully self sufficient, has 10k saved and even started paying rent last month without me having to ask.

Kid thanks me nearly everyday.

The one thing you'll notice about my posts is that they're usually in response to apathetic NPC's and the rage is usually laser focused on disgusting atrocities like trans kids, pedophilia, killing babies, radical islamic propaganda, orange man bad conspiracies and so forth. I also write a lot and type at quite a rapid pace 🐸

For activities outside of work, I'm usually playing tennis, biking, reading, gaming or snowboarding in the winter. I think going to clubs is degeneracy.

What issues upset you in the world? Do you only feel rage when things happen to you on a personal level? Have you ever volunteered to help the homeless or elderly? Do any of the things I gleefully rage on reddit and the chans about upset you? Are you ok with infancide as a womans choice? Do you think pedophilia is ok? Does it bother you that hollowood and the media cover up pedophile rings and push orange man russian nazi spy conspiracies? What about bioshocking children who still eat their own boogers with for profit hormones and chemicals because their fucked up parents convinced them they were 'trans'? Is Bruce Jenner a man or a beautiful woman of the year? (are you even aware that it killed someone during it's transition and was let off because of who it was?) I could go on at nauseam.. 😶

The only thing worse than evil are the apathetic people that could care less about any of the above topics, unless they're directly affected in some way.. True evils like human sex slavery surpassing the illegal drug trade in terms of profits ARE ONLY POSSIBLE with millions of apathetic zombies that would rather adhere to the delusional reality projected from their television programming screens..

Huge swaths of people could care less as they cheer on their fave sports team while the world falls deeper and deeper into degeneracy, or as 'progressives' like to call it, progress..

I can rage and respond as I am doing right now while sipping a tea and baby talking my pets in a way the world has never seen, for I am truly free and aware of the world we live in and therefor can appreciate the little things in life on a level I doubt you could fathom.

My best advice for you would be to cancel your cable subscription, start reading books daily, stop watching 24/7 small hat porn, stop drinking at once, stop listening to degenerate music at once, no matter how catchy the synthesized beats, invest in relationships, try to help someone, hold doors for people, smile, say hello and try not to judge people you don't know in real life.

If you have issue with any of the issues I refuse to be ignorant and apathetic about, feel free to strike up a conversation and try to point out where I am wrong. Anything less is just lazy and ironically much more negative than anything I've ever written.

Kekbless you for your concern though ♥ I truly hope you aren't living a self serving, artificial ostrich persona derived from hollowood propaganda and television programming, like so many are..

All the suffering in the world couldn't be possible without the apathetic masses that choose to consume rather than consider.

You truly need help man, I'm genuinely concerned for you. I admit, I was kind of being a dick in my original post, but after seeing your response I'm honestly a little scared. That is not a normal response...

Please, seek help. Your response does not seem like the response of a mentally well person. I dont know you in real life and I probably never will but I hope you conquer whatever demons are raging inside your mind.

[–]KEKconfusa1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Virtue signaling is gross.

Skipping over every point with a response of 'please seek help' is as NPC as it gets.., and you're clearly not fooling anyone since your actions and shallow intellect have been exposed and mirrored at near infinite levels here on reddit.

You're as television derived a persona as they get.

Start with Orwell's 1984, stop drinking alcohol and unplug your telescreen.

Most decent rappers look back on those times in a negative light. Also it’s just music, a lot of those stories aren’t true or are exaggerated. From what I’ve seen, Cardis admissions are likely true and she brags about it.

i hate her, but im playing devils advocate

A DA cannot bring charges against her for something she said she did, and even if there was proof, the statute of limitations likely make it impossible to press charges anyway.

Additionally, Im not a lawyer, but i do believe to press charges in a rape case, the victim has to initiate the charges, I dont believe the DA can move forward on their own.

[–]ultimatedray15 14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

There are dozen of eye witnesses for the assault charges, and she's already going to trial for it. She is being charged currently. One of the first court dates she had she showed up like 3 fucking hours late... Bitch clearly has no respect for the law, and sees herself above the average American.

The reason it's been pretty much ignored is because it's nothing worse than what half the male rappers have done. Obviously that doesnt excuse her actions in any way but it's pretty normal to have assaulted people/robbed people or worse in rap

[–]DJstar22 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I may get downvoted for this, but no she doesn't. She can say she was the true conspirator of 9/11, but if no one steps up and say "yeah that's her over there. She did this to me" then technically it's all talk. People talk shit all the time. Law enforcement can't arrest her for talking shit. Someone has to come front first.

[–]themaster1006 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Committing crimes doesn't take away a person's talent or status as a rapper. Why is it so hard for some people to find the balance and maintain nuance? She's a terrible person, yes, but she's also very talented and she's undeniably a rapper. Just because you don't like her doesn't mean you should start rejecting reality. In what world would she not be considered a rapper?

Also we don't put people in jail for life for assault and robbery. I get that you're emotional but why should the punishment for these crimes be different for this person? Again, I agree with your general point. She should be prosecuted and go to jail. But you just went wild. Jail for life? Are you kidding me?

[–]ultimatedray15 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You actually think she's a good "rapper"? Holy shit that's hilarious. She's the most untalented person around currently. Her "music" is dog shit, nails on a chalk board sounds better than what she puts out. Jail for life is a bit extreme yeah, but she still deserves punishment regardless. Now, that lady who falsely accused twelve men of raping her, she belongs to rot in jail for the rest of her life.

[–]LostMyDickInVietnam 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Should be but if no men come forward how would she get charged?

[–]Citizen_Karma -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why would they? Our society isn’t accustomed to men being abused by women. Cops won’t listen to it. Kind of like a male teacher raping a student vs a female teacher seducing a student. One sounds much worse than the other to create a specific narrative. Men are viewed and treated as the aggressors/predators

[–]I_am_the_7th_letter 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As well as the irony: she’s featured in an upcoming film release (Hustlers) which is essentially about the same stuff she did.

[–]Jazeboy69 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

To think Kevin spacey lost his role in house of cards over a claim mush less worse than her allegations. He’s now been cleared but is probably unlikely to ever get the roles he used to. Yet she gets a pass. It’s a crazy world. Women have it so good.

[–]Citizen_Karma 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

She didn’t lose one sponsor or creditability. Absolutely nothing happened but men are oppressing women? Where the fk is the patriarch? Notice how no news media group touched this story at all. Let’s not pretend that women aren’t the predators today roaming under the ‘I’m a woman’ cloak. They sell ass online through IG and Twitch then claim any guy who is baited into saying something sexual is harassing them. Show me the guys IG account that gets a million likes because he only shows his crotch or ass? Show me the Twitch streamer guy playing nude for millions of viewers? They don’t exist because men can’t typically sell sex. That’s yet another double standard that women use against men. It’s empowering them but we’re the perverts?

Sorry for the rant.

[–]BittersweetSymphonyX1 points 7 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, men willingly consume the sex that women sell. If there's a market for it there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of it so long as it's legal. If men think it's wrong or unfair then quit consuming it. I don't see how selling sex is wronging men in any way. Some men like looking at sexy women.

[–]From_My_Brain 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

You need victims to come forward for that to happen.

[–]Citizen_Karma -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

You mean the guys who were at her strip club soliciting prostitution? How comfortable would you be being that guy? How much support would you get from your family/friends/community being the guy who is claiming a FEMALE major (whatever the fuck she does for money) drugged and robbed you after promising to fuck you after you got fucked up while giving her money all night to shake her ass in your face? You ready to have every aspect of your life publicly broadcast for the world to see? Is that the kind of fame you want? How clean is your past?

[–]Acid44 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

None of that is relevant, you can't just convict people for talking shit, which is all this is unless someone says it happened to them

[–]Citizen_Karma -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think you missed my point but don’t worry, you’re ideology is winning and there’s nothing I can do about it. I submit

[–]Acid44 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I see your point, but there's still a requirement for someone to come forward. Otherwise they could just fuck over anyone who's ever acted hard in a song or to their friends. Saying that shit outside of a song, I do think her label/sponsors/whatever should have dropped her, but nothing legally can be done without someone stepping up

[–]Jonne 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well, now you know why so few women come forward in sexual assault cases.

[–]Citizen_Karma -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it’s a lot easier, accepted and encouraged for women, as it should be for both. Watch a few episodes of Law & Order SVU. It’s intentional.

[–]From_My_Brain 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

None of that matters. You cant charge people without a victim coming forward. Fuck off with this. And this same logic partly why women don't come forward when they are raped. Because they are afraid how society will view them.

[–]Citizen_Karma -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Then more men should have cameras throughout their homes to protect them from predatorial women.

Then the next step is realistic and customizable sex robots for guys to fk and not worry about kids, disease, weight gain/loss, false rape allegations, false pregnancy claims, extortion and hateful mood swings.

Women will buy load in a tube at vending machines to fill your robo-stud up with when you’re ready to be that single independent, ‘I don’t need no man’ kind of mom.

They will call you ‘Karen’ and life will suck.

Do you see where it can all go horribly sideways real quick? Is that the equality you want? I don’t.

I think this is less because she is a woman and more because of her being in a trashy cultural spot. R Kelly needed TONS of evidence on rape and kidnapping before people turned on him. Chris Brown almost beat Rihanna to death and has tons of other fights and incidences of domestic abuse. Solange beat Jay Z. Tons and tons of rappers have killed people (50 cent, Snoop...) assaulted people(tons of NFL players), or domestically abused people (Eminem, Dr Dre...).

Some cultures give pussy passes. Some cultures give dick passes. Some just give most people passes.

Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.

Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you when we get home! You wait and see!'

The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.

Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'

After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'

Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.

She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.

Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order.

Comparing what she did compared to what Bill Cosby did is pretty fucking different. Also she's a fucking ex-stripper rapper from the Bronx. He was Dr. Huxtable. It's not like she was a kid friendly role model in the first place.

Cosby didn't rob the people he raped.

If you're looking for an identical situation of course I can't find it because it's quite specific, but Drake, R Kelly, and Chris Brown all have roughly similar (if not worse) controversies in their careers, all of which are essentially proven, yet all did/ are doing well despite them.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but Bernie doesn't advocate redistribution of wealth. He proposes that we change how we are spending the money we already get to be more in line with the American people's wishes, rather than corporate bailouts, and endless illegal wars. Kinda like how "the cost of Medicaid for all" that gets thrown around never seems to mention that the public is spending more on insurance than the new taxes would cost.

[–]ModestBanana 22 points23 points24 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Here is a tweet from the man himself advocating for redistribution of wealth

[–]daywalker42 -5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Taxes are not seizing wealth, last time I checked. And as I recall, these people inheriting massive, mind bending fortunes are the same that tell you welfare queens want to benefit from the work of others. How is an inheritance anything else? Just cause it was a parent to a child doesn't make it any less at odds with the laughable notion that America is a meritocracy.

[–]Smoke-and-Stroke_Jr 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Taxes are not seizing wealth, last time I checked.

That's actually a major argument against taxes. It's basically the government threatening you with force in order to take your money. The more you have, the more they take. Elected leaders decide, so its presented as "the people" who decided how much to skim off the top and call it taxes. But many people do feel like it's just an institutionalized and sanctioned form of extortion, no better than the mob. I don't think that way; I think taxes are necessary and even a responsibility.

But redistribution is another story.

[–]breakfastsushi -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The government almost literally threatening you at gunpoint if you don't hand over your money

[–]daywalker42 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, but they're an established thing that our model of society can't function without. My point was that he was not advocating seizing a living person's wealth. Hell. In the 50's, anything over 2 mil was taxed at 91%, yet we still had rich people. But we also had massive infrastructure spending, job corps, and living wages then. Those two are related. Apparently we want to "make America great again" without doing any of the things that worked well last time around.

[–]SuitableSubject 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I find it pretty surprising you'd say something so inviting of a discussion if that wasn't what you wanted, but I guess I'll go get fucked. Here's hoping you do the same, fine sir or madam.

I dont really think its my job to educate you? I just like shouting at disabled people.

[–]daywalker421 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well my point was less "it's your job to educate people with whom you disagree" and much more along the lines of "if you don't want to explain 'how things work' then don't talk down to those you believe don't know by calling that out." Basically, don't start some shit you ain't wanting to finish. And the point about vinegar and honey stands.

[–]daywalker421 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Blacksmith/metalworking. Thanks, by the way. And a lot of stuff on there is old, need to get some of my newer stuff up. Metallurgy is more about the process of making the metal itself, which I then shape. Knives are about as close to metallurgy as I fuck with

[–]SuitableSubject1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I always admired metalworking. To me its like a slowly being lost art. Always wanted to get an anvil and mini forge to just mess around with, but i lack the space. How'd you get started?

[–]daywalker421 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Determination is the most important thing. If you're really dead set, and dead broke, dig a hole with a tunnel out to one side in some clay for a fire, and find a flatish rock. There are metalworkers who still work that way. One step above that, you can make a brake drum forge and set a cheap sledgehammer head halfway into a bucket of concrete. One step above that, you can build a propane/freon tank forge with a "Ron Reil style" atmospheric burner and take an angle grinder to a piece of old RR track. Just make sure you stand the track on end, if you use that. It looks more like an anvil laid down, but it works more like one stood up. Anvils are better left until you have some cash and work under your belt. I bought mine well before Forged in Fire fucked the market for em, and it took me six months to find a used one. I used to teach at a nonprofit, so feel free to PM if you have any questions about it. Google results will tell you the specifics on the burner and forge design.

[–]falsethunder3 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, because her fans can now pass it off as her being a strong and independent woman who was exploring her sexuality

[–]jaysomething2 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How was she not convicted of a crime she admitted to?

[–]__Raxy__ 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone already knows she's a hooker

[–]Officer_Owl 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same. It just seems like a publicity stunt with her playing up her “hard” attitude and therefore doesn’t have regard for other human beings.

This guy gets it

[–]OrdinaryR00ster 18 points19 points20 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I figure it's more a celebrity thing than even a woman thing. Chris Brown is still releasing hit songs even after beating the shit out of his Rihanna.

[–]Istoleapot 42 points43 points44 points 7 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Of course. It's a female shes automatically innocent even after being found guilty

[–]ohmsbeliever 17 points18 points19 points 7 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought no one ever pressed charges... Can't be found guilty if there is no trial.

[+]Istoleapot -11 points-10 points-9 points 7 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The state presses charges in most of these cases. I dont really care for this kind of bullshit. Her case should have been the reason why no man should be tried for something that cant be proven. Cosby owned up like a man and said I did it. Then all of these copy cat women wanted a payout.

[–]ohmsbeliever 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry, I'm really not following. How exactly is this related to cosby? They're pretty different scenarios considering dozens of women came forward about Cosby sexually assaulting them. No one has come forward about Cardi robbing them, let alone raping them. False equivalency.

[+]Istoleapot -9 points-8 points-7 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Exact equivalency.

Someone had to go to the media for her bullshit to be brought forth. Then men started being identified as being sexually assaulted and drugged. More than likely they were paid off screen to keep quiet and move on.

The only difference is the sex difference of a man and a women getting away with everything again.

[–]ohmsbeliever 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No one has been identified as a victim. No one. She was probably making it up for attention

[–]Istoleapot -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No. There was a crime but like yourself no one wants to believe it

[–]ohmsbeliever 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]Istoleapot 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I'll go hand in hand with you on that.

Add-on: she admits to drugging and robbing people. Then they came forward and she denies it. Pretty sure that's all the evidence they had on Cosby was he admitted it.

[–]CasualPenguin 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]okayokay7100 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The state is gonna press charges with what evidence? Her crazy ramblings doesn’t mean she deserves to go to jail unless you also think every rapper in the world and every homeless person in the world also deserve to be imprisoned. Or do y’all think we should be imprisoning people with no evidence?!

[–]Istoleapot -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Happens all the fucking time. What are you talking about?

That stupid Ford bitch uprooted her life just to falsify a whole "story" about being drunk and raped. She had ZERO proof of anything and tried to get a good man jailed and ruin his career because she was a highly money donating democrat.

Harvey Weinstein, no evidence. Sylvester Stalone, no evidence, even the Terminator was falsely accused. These are just the celebrities that made the news. Not adding in the fact of the hundreds of men in jail for no reason and the very minimal news stories on the ones released.

[–]GettingLostInDaSauce1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Except she was neither. No one ever actually reported a crime. And probably never will because in order to do that, they would have to admit to being a part of a prostitution ring and sex trafficking

But WAHMEN??? AMIRITE?

Yeah it’s a shitty thin to do it’s not like rappers don’t brag about hittin licks and shootin n*ggas all the time. She’s a rapper not a role model Tupac was a rapist I still think he has some Dope music tho

[–]Green_Bulldog 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The difference is she admitted it in a serious setting rather than saying it in a song. Plus people have come forward accusing her of the things she’s now admitted to. A lot of rappers say that stuff in their songs, but whether or not they actually did it... eh

Also many talk about those times in a negative light. They aren’t proud of it. Those that are, have been getting what they deserve. Tay-K, YNW melly and 6ix9ine for example are all facing many years in prison. They were all the type of rappers to brag about killing someone.

A lot of newer, really big artists aren’t like that and I think it’s great. Mainstream rap is slowly moving away from its roots of being proud of terrible things. That’s why people are so mad about cardi. You don’t see J Cole or Travis Scott bragging about murdering people. Even Kendrick is clearly regretful of the vague notions he gives to what he may have done in the past and he’s probably the most popular rapper out there right now.

If anything, people being “obsessed” with cardi, shows progress.

[–]gold_key 16 points17 points18 points 7 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

That's what I don't understand. Jay-Z openly admits to getting people hooked on crack. Pretty much every modern rapper admits to breaking the law. Why is reddit so obsessed with Cardi B?

[–]chris_brown_bot 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My understanding is that she lured men to a location, drugged them, and them robbed them. In my opinion, that's not rape. It's shitty. It's something only a real piece of garbage human being would do. But it's not rape. Rape is one of the most if not the most vile actions a person can take and we should only make that accusation when it's accurate.

I think it's more accurate to say that it was spread around and caused people to be against her and because those people believed it to be true they continued to spread it around. Still, you're right in saying that there's no proof of it. I'm against her actions but I've been trying to correct people on that since I want people to be angry for the correct reason.

[–]FightMeYouBitch 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Reread my comment, slowly if you have to.

I literally said that it is a shitty action and called her a "real piece of human garbage". Drugging someone is not the same as raping them. I (thought I) spelled this out pretty clearly already.

In regards to your "how do you know it's not accurate?" question:

The actions she committed are not rape (again, I already said this). Rape is a very serious thing and the definition should not be watered down (again, I already said this). I am not going to say she raped anyone, or imply that she raped anyone, unless presented with evidence that she did so.

If you admit to a crime...why does someone need to come forward? Shouldn't it be enough to at least launch an investigation?

[–]TrueFader 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She didn’t admit in a court of law and never would. An investigation would have to gather substantial credible evidence to bring charges. Then the prosecutions would have to prove to a jury behind a reasonable doubt that she is guilty. There is no accuser, no evidence, no guilty plea, no cause to investigate. She could simply refute the truthfulness of her statement at any time as that is the only thing even bringing a reasonable suspicion.

[–]timeslidesRD 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep all thats true. I suppose if you're on record saying i did xyz crime and you were arrested then you could just say 'i was kidding'.

Although I'm sure ive heard of Police investigating alleged crimes without any hard evidence at the start of the investigation before. Could be wrong though.

Yes and I hope it’s not because she came out in support of the Berninator. I love Bernie but she’s the worst endorsement they could run with and I don’t know how in the fuck his team didn’t vet that hot mess before proudly jumping on board with it. Dumb. Fuck Cardi B

She straight up drugged and robbed people, and people just shrugged it off. Usually I’d agree with you that the sub is just angry at women doing things but this is a rare case where it’s correct

[–]moonmoon0100 -5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She posted it on Twitter and there are no confirmed victims or any confirmed information at all. This could just as easily be something she put on Twitter that isn't true but it's for the image of her growing up being a bad person. She got famous because of that image.

People get so worked up over this case but there's a reason it blew over: because there is no case in the first place.

[+]ThisAintItChieftain -11 points-10 points-9 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

How is it correct? She got away with something she claimed doing. How exactly was her pussy pass denied?

This is literally just people being mad because "female said bad thing." No pass was denied here.

[–]invertedcross1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

This should be on pussy pass, not denied, because she's getting away with it. But people are clearly mad because she admits to drugging and assaulting men and she gets away with it because she's a rich woman. What would it take for you to be mad about it? Would she have to kill them too? Drugging assaulting and robbing ain't enough?

[–]DivestX5 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Reddit would be fucking furious if the genders were reversed. In fact, Ricardo B would be in jail.

Buuuuut since this website is full of dumb shits with zero self awareness, they'll turn out in droves to defend her.

[–]ThisAintItChieftain -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Exactly my point. Doesn't belong on this sub. It's just people REEEEE'ing against a woman because she said something bad. Nothing denied here.

If the genders were reversed, MAYBE people would be mad. Epstein raped kids for decades, and it was WELL known, and no one gave a shit. OJ murdered two people and we make jokes about it. Roman Polanski drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl, and he's praised by many in Hollywood.

She's not getting away with it because she's a rich woman, she's getting away with it because there are no victims that came forward. If/when one does, she'll probably get away with it because she's rich.

What would it take for you to be mad about it?

If it actually affected me one iota. I don't get pissy and triggered every time a celebrity I don't give a shit about says something awful. I can't imagine how some of you can live your life that way. Gotta be awful being pissed all the time.

[–]Karabeki 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So, I know this post is old and this comment isn't gonna be seen by anyone, but hot take coming up

I dont think this cardi b thing is as big a deal as everyone keeps saying it is.

Is it a bad thing? Yes

Is it a crime? Yes

Should she be held accountable for it? Maybe. If evidence besides a one off confession is found, then yes. Not saying it didn't happen, but with just one confession that's not enough for a conviction and the trial would be a farce

Is cardi b an objectively terrible person who should be blacklisted from the music industry for her past? Absolutely not

Why? Because holy fuck there are so many rappers who have committed crimes. Who have admitted to selling drugs, murder, robbery, rape, assault, gang affiliations, and a whole host of other felony charges that are objectively terrible. And they're still around, unpunished and unjudged for their past.

Committing crimes in your past is a terrible thing. It's not a thing you should look back on in pride. It's not a thing you should carry around as a badge of honor. It's a shitty thing you did in a shitty period in your life that you should feel bad for doing, but it doesn't stop you from moving forward and being a better person.

But everyone knows that, so why even comment?

Because the outrage toward cardi b is rooted in sexism, plain and simple.

Do y'all really want to sit there and say it's not? When's the last time you tweeted that everyone forgot that Gucci mane killed someone? Or that lil Wayne sold drugs and robbed people? Or that young thug sold drugs and ran a gang and was probably involved if not directly responsible for multiple murders. Or that Tupac sexually assaulted women? Or that suge knight murdered someone? These are people who are wildly successful in rap and hip hop who have not only committed and gotten away with crimes to the level of cardi b, but who openly brag about their crimes(albeit not directly) in their music.

And it's not like they all got away with it. Tupac, lil Wayne, young thug and more have spent time in prison. But it wasnt for the crimes mentioned. It was weapons charges. And their careers barely suffered. Their public image barely suffered. Hell, Tupac is held up as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Lil Wayne is too.

Is it ok that cardi b drugged and robbed men? Am I ok with it? No, obviously not. But its sexist to hold this over her head as some big gotcha when over half of the rest of the people in the industry she is in have done similar or worse things and no one bats an eye. And its sexist to keep bringing this one back if you all decide you're going to keep listening to the rest and supporting the rest.

Hell, I'm not even a cardi b fan. I'll be the first to admit I dont really like or listen to her music. But every time this shit gets dragged out it's the same thing. Its the same double standard you all dont realize you're perpetuating. So either get up in arms about the Male rappers who "got away with it", or sit the fuck down and shut up.

[–]Iconoficons -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I’d love for you to point out where people who are bashing her here praises the men for doing the same thing.

[–]Karabeki 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I didn't say anyone was "praising men" for doing the same thing. I said they were ignoring it. If they were praising it this would be a different hypocrisy entirely. As it stands though, ignoring one and vilifying and condemning the other is it's own double standard

[–]Iconoficons 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

You realize what sub you’re in right?

Why would we talk about the Chris browns of the world here? Doesn’t mean we personally ignore it.

[–]Karabeki 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah I know what sub I'm in. It's the sexist one that hides behind a couple of top posts about women being genuinely terrible people and not getting away with it. But cardi b ain't a pussy pass denied. Or a pussy pass accepted. Or a pussy pass anything. It's the exact opposite, it's a thing y'all drag out every week or so cuz this sub is sexist, and this double standard is sexist. Which is why I'm calling it out.

Edit: I'm gonna tag this on before you respond with the obvious other people in the comments are calling out rappers. Those ain't the top comments. Those comments barely sit above mine. The top comments are the same shit. Just like most of the comments on this sub. So before you go saying "this sub isn't sexist these women are terrible and didn't get away with it" just have some self awareness plz

[–]Iconoficons 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think it’s ppd either but calling it sexist is a bit of a stretch. There’s no double standard either.

People seem to think what happened with cardi is comparable to other rappers or rap music in general, it’s not.

If anything, people being “obsessed” with cardi and what she’s done, shows progress.

Unfortunately, pop culture has decided white men are cancer, and we have to accept it. Women can do no wrong and if we speak out against it, we're crazy.

But this is more about how grimy of a person you have to be if you want to be a good rapper. Theres no way beyonce doesnt have some fucked up shit on her resume.

[–]Karabeki 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh yeah I forgot how pop culture decided the chainsmokers, justin Timberlake, maroon 5, Dave Grohl's, Keanu Reeves, leonardo dicaprio, ed Sheeran, Jonas brothers, panic at the disco, 5 seconds of summer and every other white Male in the music industry, entertainment industry, and hollywood were kicked out last week for being cancerous white men and blacklisted from the industry.

And I forgot how chance the rapper, Lupe fiasco, Anderson paak, lil dicky, drake, big sean, Frank ocean, or Isaiah Rashad are so fucking grimy you have to wash your hands after listening to their music.

And you're really gonna say beyonce, the pop artist who has never rapped in her life, is grimy? The pop artist who started singing at 8 years old and whose family uprooted their lives to support her, who has never once been arrested or jailed, and whose activism has inspired countless people throughout the world, is grimy? C'mon man that's a weak argument right there

This is the same shit as Bill Cosby. Why were people surprised and threw her in the trash immediately. I didnt like her from the start, because I hate rappers like Minaj and anything resembling Minaj, but If I liked her, I wouldnt have stopped when the shit hit the fan. Justlike Cosby, Im still gonna say Whoop Tee Fking Doo, its just ghetto stuff.

[–]PartypantsPete1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (26 children) | Copy Link

It’s ghetto stuff simply because black people did it? Because if that’s not what you’re saying then you need to rephrase your comment to be more clear.

[–]Iconoficons 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

When did he ever mention race?

[–]PartypantsPeteonly my daddy makes me cum 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Ghetto is very commonly used as a slur against black people. Their usage of the word there made little sense and I asked them to clarify. Considering they responded to me and defined what they intended ghetto to mean and it had nothing to do with the actual definition and they were using it to mean their own thing, I think asking them to clarify was not unreasonable.

[–]Iconoficons 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

I think if you are personally trying to equate ‘ghetto’ to one race you’re the one with the problem.

[–]PartypantsPeteonly my daddy makes me cum 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Did I say that’s what I did? No. I said that’s stereotypically what is done as an insult. Knowing something happens doesn’t mean that a person does that thing.

[–]Iconoficons 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

It’s ghetto stuff simply because black people did it? Because if that’s not what you’re saying then you need to rephrase your comment to be more clear.

That’s exactly what you did.

[–]PartypantsPeteonly my daddy makes me cum 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

It’s not. That’s your perception of it, but that’s not what I did.

[–]Iconoficons 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

It’s ghetto stuff simply because black people did it? Because if that’s not what you’re saying then you need to rephrase your comment to be more clear.

Yes it is, lol. Don’t back pedal because you’re being called on it.

[–]PartypantsPeteonly my daddy makes me cum 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Wow. You think I’m backpedaling? I’m amazed that you’re struggling to follow something this simple. Let me try to simplify it for you.

(1) Ghetto is most commonly used as a slur towards black people when used in a derogatory way.

(2) Their usage of the word made no sense in the context they used it.

Therefore, (3) I asked them to clarify while also explaining how their comment came across in case they hadn’t intended it that way or were unaware.

But please, tell me more about how I’m a racist for asking them to clarify, lol

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I do, I mean I highlighted exactly what you said pretty clearly and you’re trying to pretend you never said it. It’s kind of funny really

But please, tell me more about how I’m a racist for asking them to clarify, lol

I never said you were racist, sounds like you’re projecting now.

Although you are the one that instantly equates “ghetto” with “black people”.

Kind of telling tbh

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lmao, ok buddy. If you refuse to read then that’s not my problem. Have a good night.

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

One again.....

It’s ghetto stuff simply because black people did it? Because if that’s not what you’re saying then you need to rephrase your comment to be more clear.

Wise of you to bow out, you’ve already embarrassed yourself enough.

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Uh huh, you got me soooooo good by continuing to quote the statement I clarified and expanded on several times. Whatever will I do now? Hahahaha

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Grief

Denial

Anger

Acceptance

You’re getting there buddy!

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ouch, oof, oh god... they got me Maude... /u/Iconoficons shot me and I’m done for... I’ll never survive their tongue lashing... gasp

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I’d probably be desperately trying to deflect if I just did what you did too guy, it’s okay.

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh god Maude, he’s still shooting me! gasp Can’t he tell how much it hurts? Please /u/Iconoficons, no more! I just can’t take any more of your wit and intelligence! It’s just too painful!

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Maude! He’s sill going! Quick Maude, ring the Marshall and tell him I’m being murdered by sass!

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You could just go back to your echo chamber over at TD, you won’t find people exposing you there cupcake.

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Hahahahahahahaha

Oh god. That takes the cake. I couldn’t possibly be more anti-trump. It’s impossible to dislike the man more than I do and I can’t wait to vote against him again. I’m a Sanders or Warren guy, my dude.

Wow. That’s too funny and unexpected. I’ve been chuckling every time you respond, but I laughed hard enough that I think I pulled something there. With zero indication that I’m a trump supporter and without a single comment or a single post by me ever in support of trump or on TD, you just decided to throw that out there to try to insult me because you were upset by my mocking you and you’ve got nothing else.

As much as I’ve enjoyed mocking your attempts to convince me I’m racist when I simply asked someone to clarify and tried to help them understand why they were being downvoted, I’m heading out for the night. It’s been fun. Ta ta!

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I never said you supported trump, just that the sub in question seems to house people more a keen to your lack of intellect. Your reading comprehension is awful.

because you were upset by my mocking you and you’ve got nothing else.

All of your attempts at jokes have actually fallen very flat, if anything I pity you.

This is of course after you equated the entire black race with ‘ghetto’ and confused me with the other guy who made you look just as stupid as you’re making yourself look.

I’m heading out for the night. It’s been fun. Ta ta!

Sure kid, lol.

[–]PartypantsPete1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lmao, now who’s backpedaling? You said I posted on TD but I’m not a trump supporter? Yikes.

But seriously. I’m blocking you now cause I know how desperately you want to respond and that makes me laugh again. ;)

[–]Iconoficons1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I didn’t say you posted there, I called it your echochamber.

Can you read above a first grade level?

So much for “heading out”...lol.

[–]hurt_spaghet 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Im not saying its ghetto stuff because of black people, you racist. Ghettos existed in Berlin during the second world war for the jews. When I said ghetto, I meant doing any shit without repercussions. But, reddit is always quick to judge, because 1/4 of it are literal retards who downvote anything they disagree with. Im just commenting straight facts.

[–]PartypantsPeteonly my daddy makes me cum 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol, don’t get your panties twisted because I asked you to clarify. Ghetto has stereotypically been a slur against black people. Your apparent definition of what ghetto means has zero to do with the actual definition so no shit I didn’t know what you meant.

Also, how am I a racist because I asked you if you meant something and said that if that isn’t what you meant that you should rewrite your post... you’re being heavily downvoted so it was obviously misunderstood by more than just me. But please, get all hostile and lash out instead of clarifying what you meant in the original comment. That’ll teach me to ask you what you meant. /s
