Maybe because men generally are selfish and have an agenda when they do something so they don't understand that a woman might want to stop something because they feel empathy (in this case fo women in prostitution) it just want a better society for everyone. Sadly many men seem to have difficulties fully understanding empathy and they project their shittiness and selfishness in others. Maybe, just speculating nu I have noticed this too.

We don't believe it will be better for society - and women and children - we KNOW it will be better. The evidence is pretty clear.

Men - always trying to get us to wallow in the mud with them but wanting to blame us if we do. They have to have this cognitive dissonance - otherwise they'd all be spontaneously combusting. Imagine if they didn't tell all the excuses to themselves that they do when they buy trafficked children to ruin? You know they push that shame straight onto the child or prostitute.

Of course from an evoluntionary perspective it would actually be better if they came up to our level - a lot of them behave worse than our primate cousins. Men are the ultimate crabs in a bucket - the more we try to climb out, protect our fellow girls and women and children - they harder they are going to try and claw us back down. Changing their behaviour is in the too hard bucket - they don't want another bucket.
And the manipulation thing - men are the biggest manipulators I have ever encountered.

The fact they can't comprehend that there are women who cry for the children, girls and women who are lost to mens depravity, and knows that these women would never choose this given a choice, completely escapes them. They'd rather fantacise that we are 'jealous'' - that we'd actually want useless lowlifes who pay to use peoples bodies! I'm not jealous - I'm heartbroken and if I could save every trafficked child or girl before a penis ever went near them, I would. As it is, I'm relegated to spending time for free writing and donating lesson plans to help rehabilitate girls who have been rescued. Jealous? Rageful, more like it.
And most evolutionary psychology is made by men to excuse men. Most of the theories are clearly some kind of way for men to rid themselves of guilt and put the blame on us - because of course if it's nature, then they can't help it. Please, spare me. I've never met a male evoluntionary psychologist I wouldn't spit on.

This is like when men sat, “only men can have real friendships. I know women so well, and they are all too catty and selfish.” Ummmm…look at all the women with close female friendships, and compare that to the men with close male friendships! Also, women do better after a breakup for a reason. Their female friends rally around them, offering support, while men wallow alone. But yeah, tell us more about how we’re too catty to be friends!

I remember when I came out as atheist and my pastor was hounding me about where would I get my morals from. I thought it was an odd question seeing as he complemented how Christ-like I was at a time I decided I was a nonbeliever and he was unaware. I have since come to the conclusion that men need external forces and promises of reward to be "good" people so they do not understand why women would just want to do good for the sake of doing good.

Well yes, my "selfish"(=reasonable) interest is that I don't have sexual trauma and by extension, I don't want other women to have this either. From an evolutionary standpoint, we are community animals (= we'd literally die if completley isolated) and the community cannot thrive if men destroy it from within by traumatizing their women. I swear, men are not able to think.

I think it highlights just how much they don't view the actual prostitutes themselves as women for "increase sexual value" to be listed as a reason. To even come up with that theory you have to first separate the group into women vs prostitutes.

In reality men view prostitutes as non women and women view prostitutes as women, which is exactly where the inherent shift begins. Because we view them as women and people, we view their degradation entirely differently. Were aware they don't want to be sex workers. We know they do it in desperation. Were aware of the disgust and feelings of rape when having sex with a man you don't want to. We know how they feel intimately.

We want women to be free of the chains that make them turn to sex work, because we know they're people. Men want access to a vagina because they don't know they're people.

This is called “Gaslighting”. It is a common Abuse technique that is used to make the victim doubt themselves and unwaveringly trust the “reality” The Abuser is trying to establish.

You know it is 5 that you’re thinking, and he’s gaslighting you into thinking that REALLY it’s something else. Altering your reality to fit his narrative. And setting you up for further abuse. (Once this pattern is accepted, it’s much easier going forward for him to gas light you on other topics.)

This is a tactic men are taught to use against women more or less from birth and because women are taught to be less confident in themselves, we're more susceptible to this kind of confidence trick by default. Psychologists call it "gaslighting," red pill nerds call it "controlling the frame."

If there's one aspect of red pill I think is actually beneficial for women to study, understand and practice, it's frame control... not only does it help you see through their BS, it helps you counter it. Women are truthfully in a better position to set and hold frame than men-in-general are as we're typically more realistic and less self-serving. Unshockingly that makes our "frames" more naturally durable lol. It's simply not up to men to define reality, especially yours.

Women are against prostitution because it makes ordinary women less safe

I’m so tired of idiotic people trying to throw all women under the bus to supposedly support a few heroin addicted mentally ill prostitutes who refuse to get clean and leave the trade even with help

Because let me be honest - many of them will never leave even with help offered because they are too damaged.

As you can imagine people who’ve lived on the streets taking heroin and sucking penis for money for years….aren’t very well adjusted to normal life.

They don’t think like you and me. That’s all they know.

Some of them cannot simply snap out of it and return to normal but they have many charities checking in on them offering an exit plan and well-being checks ….many won’t take it and they can’t force them to leave.

If they want to leave and get clean- the offer is there. And the ones who want it tend to take it.

There is also no such thing as ‘safe sex work’ regardless of violence there’s no way those women are getting STI tested inbetween every client and they’ll take more money for sex without condoms

Tests take 3-5 days to come back and you really think they’re going to quit work cos they got one? Nope. They’re seeing like 13 men a day

And what about sex workers that get pregnant? Lol are they going to let some dirty John force them to do BDSM acts whilst 8 months pregnant to a ‘client’?

We don’t legalise heroin because some damaged people take it - it’s simply bizarre they don’t see sex work as the predatory exploitative industry it is….which is why only damaged, broke & mentally ill people get into it

Multiple studies have shown the increase in demand from legalised prostitution leads to an increase in women being illegally sex trafficked to try meet the demand

This makes women far less in public especially when dating. And even pick mes working for pimps could set you up

I'll admit I want prostitution to stay illegal for some selfish reasons. Those being that if prostitution is legal, and women are the primary people being prostituted, that affects all women as a class including me. One of the reasons a woman gets harassed walking down the road and men yell out "how much?" is because they know WOMEN'S bodies are for sale.

As long as some women's bodies are for sale, what's to say mine isn't? Prostitution makes men believe that all women can become sex objects for them for the right price. I don't want to live in that world, and that's one (but not the only) reason I don't want it legalized.
