Let me explain...

Let's say a guy likes a girl, but she doesn't have the prettiest face, and that guy is the type to be super self conscious about what others think, he chooses not to be with the girl even though he likes her.

Or

A girl likes a guy, but this guy isn't the norm or perceived as tough. In private she really vibes with him, but wouldn't want to introduce him to her friends out of judgement, so she decides to not pursue anything with him.

How often do you think this sort of selection happens, and what's your opinion on it, if it does happen in your opinion.

I think most people judge based on surface level things before trying to get to know someone better, or even giving them a chance.
