So you've met a woman on online dating let's say. She wants to meet up. There's a possibility of sex but not a guarantee.

You don't exactly have a long distance relationship or anything because you're trying to avoid that, but she's good looking, she seems into you, and you don't see any red flags so maybe this could turn into a serious relationship.

But she's not exactly next door, and that's what this question is about. How far are you willing to travel to meet her. What lengths are you willing to go? Gas is getting more expensive. If you drive you can't drink too much unless you're certain you're spending the night at her place (or unless you have a reckless disregard for human life). If you take a rideshare, it gets quickly expensive. Past a certain point it's cheaper to get an escort to come over to your place than it is to rideshare there and back. You could always take the bus. If you're European especially you can take a train. Maybe you're even crossing some country borders, but the Schengen Agreement makes that not so bad. Of course whether it's gas money, train tickets, bus tickets etc travel costs time and money.

So what lengths are you willing to go to get to this date? How far away is too far away and why?
