Reading this article https://www.girlschase.com/content/why-chasing-women-doesn%E2%80%99t-work-and-why-persistence-does
(Please read the article they have a different definition of persistence then you might assume)
And they're basically saying that if the girl isn't into you right away, there's no point in continuing to "chase" her. That if you want to get with her, you need to be persistent only initially: push a bit for the things you want, and lead. (No this is not advocating for ignoring consent or anything like that.) You can't be fickle, and if she gives an uncertain "no" (as opposed to an absolute "no" (I'm talking about tone)), then the time to persist is when she's mulling it over and uncertain. Once you break that threshold she will want to be with you, and you don't have to "chase" her, you need her to "follow" your lead.
So, basically women are turned off by uncertainty. When women say they want a man who "knows what he wants" she is saying she's attracted to consistent and persistent leadership. Not asking "what do you want to do? Does x sound fun?" But saying "tonight we're going to go do x, don't worry you'll have fun", it's a commanding but certain tone. Obviously if she says something like "I really don't want to do x, last time I did I got sick and vomited" then that may be the time recalibrate. But don't be wishy washy. Don't ask, lead; she will follow if she likes you. If she isn't into you, move on quickly, don't continuously feed her validation by chasing her. There is no long game.
That's my understanding of what this article is espousing. What do you all think?

That's amazing. Yes in your case I would say her attitude hasn't been tainted by the likes of FDS or anything from modern "feminism".
So you got lucky in that you got a girl that was still "mint" in that her mind wasn't yet corrupted.
I don't think that's possible with most women though.

She left you when you were engaged? Ugh that enrages me to no end.
It's one thing to leave someone you've only been with a few months, but when you're engaged? Fuck.
If she ever comes crawling back make sure you spit on the dirt and tell her to date that.
People like that are worse than dirt. At least dirt can be made into something useful.

Why you making fun of programmers? We built the modern world you know? We (as a class of people) have been a large provider for so many women that just want to tweet all day instead of being productive.

No, but you called us out specifically. Saying we've never touched a boob. My goodness. And yes someone who has a career is far more valuable than someone that tweets all day from their job as a fry cook.

I see that as strange. I would be scared to lose a million dollars. That doesn't make me low value because I care about keeping the million dollars.
And why should it be a power struggle? Why not just be a partnership? Shouldn't she value him just as much as he values her? Why would she want to date someone that thinks very little of her?
