It’s frequently said on the sub that women respond better to asshole behaviour when you are trying to pick them up. I’ve asked for a few examples in the daily thread numerous times and I have been given the following responses

  • Negging or complimenting a girl on something unattractive about her. Something along the lines of “that’s a bold choice of skirt” or similar.
  • Talking about other girls you are dating or hooking up with.
  • Being arrogant.
  • Not caring about her.
  • Being mean about other people.

The issue I’m having is if a guy said to me “bold skirt” I’d assume he was teasing me cause he’s interested.

If a guy talks about dating but doesn’t mention a girlfriend I know he’s single and on the market.

As for arrogance? One man’s confidence is another man’s arrogance. It’s difficult to tell if someone is being arrogant or confident if you don’t know them well. If a guy says I can beat any dude in here at an arm wrestling match, it might be arrogant, however, it might be true and well placed confidence.

As for not caring about her? How do you even show that? It’s a bit vague tbh.

Finally being mean about other people. If a guy is poking fun at someone I don’t see it as being mean particularly unless it’s really cruel. Saying something along the lines of “check out that guy’s dancing” at the club is a bit mean but hardly egregious. Outright bullying is obviously very bad.

So here’s what’s I’m asking, are the examples above what you understand from the phrase “asshole behaviour”? Or is it worse/better. How do you show you don’t care about her? Examples of arrogant behaviour are also of interest to me. Thanks in advance folks.
