Not that I’m looking back but I always wonder what signs were there leading up to my divorce. So let’s play a game…. How many points do you score?

  • 2 children
  • 3 or more kids
  • moved out of ‘wife’s’ hometown
  • moved out of state
  • moved to a place where you knew no one
  • ‘wife’s’ parents divorced
  • at least one of her siblings is divorced
  • multiple siblings are divorced -you were her first marriage -You married before 26 -you were married before 22 -joint accounts -‘wife’ spent more than she earned during time married -‘wife’ was not responsible for paying any monthly bills -you had no pets together -you did not have a prenup in place

I hope you don’t just count up your score but let’s chat about if any of these things were key in your view to the divorce. I left off a lot of stuff like education because honesty I didn’t know how to score them. I’m open to ideas to add to the list. I scored 14 btw so obviously list is heavily slanted to what I perceive to be causes of my failed marriage.
