I've been curious what kind of sexual activity places a man in the 20% of men who are said to sleep with 80% of women.

Does number count determine this? Sustained success over multiple years? What about when you factor in the quality of the women these men are sleeping with?

As a mid 30s guy who's been picky about relationships....my count is about 30...just from years of being single. I've generally been a serial monogamist and felt very average through most of my dating life.

That said, I've encountered some people who've felt I've contributed to the promiscuity culture in society...and thereby contribute to the hardship for all men. However I deal with the same BS they do on dating apps, the same hardships finding a good long term partner, and don't always pull attention from the women I really want.

It seems like a lot of discussions I see either focus on the top men who always do well with women and sleep with scores of them, or the guys who do terribly and barely have had sexual partners in their life. There doesn't seem to be an in-between or varied view of what an average man is.

So I'm curious what a lot of folks here would consider average and consider top tier with regards to the men who are dating.
