I think it's insane.

First of all, we as a society have decided that stuff like that is not appropriate for people under 18. You may disagree with this, but that's what the standard is. Plastering it on the front page of a magazine where kids might see it is just in really bad taste, and I think does a lot to show the sense of entitlement that many feminists have (and you just KNOW this was some feminist doing this).

Secondly, you have feminists causing a stink over a team's logo being too "rapey" because it's a wolf and looked aggressive.

OR a universities icon or something of an obelisk being too "phallic".

Like, these fucking people complain about things that even resemble a dick yet I guess theirs no problem with a literal collage of vagina's. It's almost like they are giant fucking hypocrites.

Seriously though, if a bunch of guys did that with their dicks, they'd probably end up as registered sex offenders for potentially exposing themselves to minors... and honestly, I wouldn't even disagree if they got in shit. You don't plaster your private bits all over a public (in the sense that people will see it who aren't necessarily looking for that stuff) magazine.

I find the audacity of a campaign like this from a movement that supports circumcision (at least in part) because an unaltered penis is ugly to be staggering. I can't see this without thinking the message in total is 'we're beautiful, you're ugly. Accept us, change you. Protect us, discard you.' It might not be their intent but a premise of Patriarchy Theory is that intent and individual participation aren't relevant.

Obviously none of you read the article associated with the photo. Australian media allows showing of female general is but only if it has been airbrushed to not showing a protruding labia. It then becomes and airbrushed crease. This is leading to a large amount of young women to get labiaplasties because they feel that their vaginas are deformed. This was a way to show them that it is a normal thing to have a labia.

You know, I love this sub-reddit. I'm on it DAILY, but sometimes you guys take shit a little too seriously, and are so quick to jump to conclusions that you loose sight of what shit really is.

It seems the whole point was to stop the labia censors in .au from creating a culture where women think they need a labiaplasty. To show that many vulvas have labia minora sticking out of them.

I don't see much wrong with it. I would also like to see such a cover for uncircumsized penises.

I think its a bunch of unpleasant looking vaginas with the exception of the one in B1.

Some of them look like they haven't been washed in weeks.

Wow, I had no idea vaginas even looked like that. I'm a gay guy so I only really see vaginas in porn, which I rarely ever see anyways, and they never actually look like that. I guess it makes sense because the dicks I see in porn don't look like the average dick either but there is way more variety in vagina types than I realized.

There is a definitely a double standard here because dick pics would never fly like that but I have to admit that I did find it kind of educational.

I'm not gonna lie, I never thought I'd ever see a feminist magazine put "In the kitchen" on their front page!

(I know it's not a strictly feminist magazine, but it's pretty obviously one from those sub-headings, if the image alone isn't enough).

(Incidentally, just by this incident, sub-headings, and the knowledge that they once made up a story about a fire in the university killing 16 people, I already deeply hate it.)
