Shitty headline. The agreed to plea deal is 1 year, but sentencing isn't until August. Plea deals are only suggestions and judges are not required to follow the sentence recommendation.

At this point she still has not received any sentence. The judge could still give her 5 years, or 1 year, or he could just slap her on the wrist and give her time served.
