Pathetic? Man, i don't know. A lot of it depends on your religiosity and desire to have sex.

Assuming you're trying to have sex and are failing at it due to physical or mental shortcomings, probably around 25 starts to get concerning and you should genuinely be worried and try to improve. By 30 it's highly possible it'll never happen and by 40 it's done. I don't see a difference in the genders either in this.

The average age to lose your virginity (ironically the age i lost it at) is 16. 10 years of trying and failing (26) while post puberty begins to be pathetic.

That said if you're christian or islamic then there's no point at which it is pathetic

If you are celibate, asexual or whatever then 60 and virgin is fine.

If a person wants relationships and sex, and it hasn't happened by about 25, then I think it's kinda sad. Things are obviously not going as planned / intended. And even if it's not beyond hope and they find someone around 30, it's still most of the youth spent alone.

When I was younger, I would have had an opinion on this. These days I am more just interested in people's story, and what matters to them. I would never call someone's relationships/intimacy journey pathetic, unless we are talking about the quality of having pathos.

Most of my peers were virgins until well into college (especially the men). Some of the men I currently work with are in their mid-late twenties and are still virgins. Virginity isn’t something uncommon so I’d feel weird calling it “pathetic”. LOTS of people are pathetic if that’s the case

I'll put it like this. For the overwhelming majority? Most wouldn't care if it's like 30 plus. But let's be honest, the odds of a woman being above the age of 25 who is not disabled and not heavily religious is extremely unlikely.
Probably about 25. At this age shes thinking. What the hell have you been doing with yourself? Are you literally that shy? Or are you a weirdo?

I don't think virginity is pathetic at any age. I believe even viewing it that way is adding fuel to a dangerous societal fire.

The reason for the virginity might make you completely unappealing to me ( for example if you are so awkward you literally can't string a sentence together, or if you boil over with a toxic level of hatred etc), but again I would still stop short of using the term "pathetic" to describe my aversion.

I don't think that it's "pathetic," but I think that a guy should be able to find a girlfriend, and therefore have sex, by age 25 at the latest. Usually if he can't do this it means that he needs to improve something about himself or his approach to attracting women in order for this to happen.

I would say the same would apply to women, too, but more of them seem to just choose not to have boyfriends until they're at an age where they want to settle down. Most guys are more sexually thirsty, though, so I'd say that the 25 year old maximum only really applies to them, unless that guy can honestly say that he's not really that interested in having sex.

For girls, it's not pathetic at all because they are never virgins for lack of a man being attracted to them. I suppose it's possible for her to stay a virgin because she is repulsed by every man who shows interest, but at some point, women like that tend to give in just to "get it out of the way." Then they go on to do something else with their lives.

For guys, I'd say its pathetic by the time you turn 20, especially if you are in college. Really, if you're a virgin after your college freshman year, I'd say that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you aren't the social type, which means opportunities to get laid are going to be non-existent.

I'd highly recommend "getting it out of the way" either by dumpster diving or escorts. Do NOT wait around looking for "The One" or a girl that you "click" with. Sex feels good, but when you do it once or twice, it really helps you understand what guys are pedestalizing, and whether you want to chase it or not. It's a physical experience. It does nothing for me emotionally.

Suffice to say, none of the above applies to religious folks.

Ah, let's take a shot without seeming to do it.

For a guy, I think 16-20 is normal. 20-25 you should be getting on it to get some experience and be able to please effectively while having the confidence. After that people start thinking it's weird. Over 30 it's quite shamed.

Women, it's way more complex because it has the image of purity associated to it. Except I've seen virgins who would masturbate for hours and basically do shit with their ass instead, so loopholes.

The problem is that any time she wants she can get experience, so the value is to not have done too much in a short period of time instead. That being said, she ain't gonna be able to please without experience either, so we should just end that disconnect and prioritize what we want.

Why judge others on how they want to live their lives? Of course, it does not mean you are compatible with that person.

I think your question should have been more of "At which age, would you consider a virgin non-dateable". In this case, it would be about compatibility assessment.

I DON´T KNOW especific age. It´s impossible to answer... BUT... Girls don´t like low performance boys ( mores girls + more sex = experience ) and Boys don´t give a shit about her being a virgin. In general.

I‘m 26 male and still virgin. Tbh, sometimes I feel bad about myself and my lacking sexual experience. I‘m afraid that at some point the difference or lack in experience will catch up with me and make it impossible to find a proper female partner my age, who‘ll accept me and my virginity. The clock is ticking and the gap is growing fast, but I‘m optimistic that it’s not too late for me yet and I‘m just a bit late. I try to find love and I‘m open towards other people, always trying to keep my eyes wide open to find my woman.

It’s hard to tell at what age it becomes pathetic. I even think it’s not fair to say that virginity is pathetic. Maybe some people’s path doesn’t lead to sex and finding love. I know that this sounds sad, but perhaps it’s just that fate didn’t give them a chance. I mean if there are people, who have tons of sex and relationships with their perfect SO, never alone and always lucky to find love, the other extreme must be people who stay alone all their lives, because they never meet the right person or their life just makes it difficult for them to find trust and love in other people.

But I guess it’s getting too late for people of both genders to find someone with the same zero amount of experience in the thirties, maybe even a bit earlier. Finding someone with the same amount of experience would be perfect, but as the twenties pass by, it‘ll become harder, for both genders.

I would never call it pathetic per se, sometimes you're just unlucky, now sometimes you can be a little too picky waiting for the right person or maybe you're really old school and waiting for marriage.

But if you aren't one of the ones waiting for marriage and you're actively trying to get laid and you can't by 25ish, again I wouldn't say pathetic but that would be something that my mind registers
