You have to understand that the overwhelming majority of the things posted on TwoX about their lives and their experiences are completely fabricated from nothing. Many of the posts there are from the actual abusers who are very selective with the details that they share, making their partners look bad when they're the toxic element in the relationship.

Like, here's how a typical TwoX post goes:

(In real life)

[1] Man makes eye contact with woman on the bus.

[2] Woman feels uncomfortable for a split second and he averts his gaze.

(On TwoX)

Today a man stared at me on the bus and then shouted at me when I asked what he was looking at!

What you said, no one really stares at anyone in a gym. Everyone is too focused on their workout. I feel like posts where people are claiming that they're being stared at or attention hungry people who are insecure. They're doing this to try to make it seem like they're more desirable than they actually are.

Edit: I forgot to say that it seems like they're trying to convince themselves of this desirability more than anyone else. As I said, they're insecure and it's obvious.

Just went searching on FDS and I guess they've moved to a full blown website now. While some are voicing valid points, many are just voicing nonsense and just complaining without actually doing anything.

They really are the neckbeards of women, so many posts just blaming men for their problems. Saying things like half of men can only get sex by rape, blaming only men for Roe v Wade, birth control and condoms not being free.

They think us normal people have a choice and men alone are actively sabbatoging them at every turn. Really they are just mad, don't know who/what to actually blame and sit in their hate loops instead of actually fighting for change. All talk no walk.

We need a term for neckbearded women...

The one time I’ve gone to a co-ed gym, literally everyone did stare at me. They stopped what they were doing and watched while I worked out for 10 minutes, and then I left. That’s what women are more likely to do: just leave, not complain, because most men will respond to complaints exactly like you have above. It’s not worth our time.

Everyone cares about their own serie of workout. The max agressive conversation ive got from men in the gym was..."how long do you use that machine?" - 5 more serie of 10s. - "ok, thanks."

A lot of the posts there are just simply men are trash, rapists and stupid. A lot of the stories are extremely over the top ad well such as a woman who claimed everyone stares at her at the gym. I’ve worked at multiple gyms in a big city and never heard of a complaint from a woman feeling uncomfortable due to stares, no one even really stares anyway everyone’s focused on their workout.

People can feel uncomfortable without filing a complaint at the front desk. Also, "no one really stares anyways", do you actively watch every gym goer to ensure this?

Not to mention that your experiences may or may not be the same as other people's experiences.

that's not all we talk about.. if you join it, you will see a variety of stories. I never even saw that one, plus, if that was THAT person's experience, you should not take that away from that. Ever heard of cat calling? Ever heard of men staring at women inappropriately? Yeah, well it happens daily. And, now, it's illegal in certain countries. Just because you (one guy) worked at a gym (one gym) does not mean your whole experience is valid or that is the reality for everyone. I've personally been stared at by men through my whole life! It's gross. I've even been stalked where I had to call the police who then had to go talk to the man. Don't discount someone's experience just because you as as a man never experienced it.

I have looked at the Reddit myself I believe there is nothing wrong with it. It seems to be a source for women to vent there frustration about the patriarchy and as well it seems to have some good advice for other women who have to deal with these problems. The only thing that I see is wrong with it is maybe a few bad wording and the Reddit name is slightly transphobic.

I’ve been at the gym since 2008. The only thing I ever starred at was a man having a heart attack. I never seen a woman get approached. Before covid too I practically lived at the gym spending 2 hours day and 3 hours evening just hanging out with the boys.
