If you don’t know what the observer effect is, I highly encourage you to look it up, as I am not a physicist and only have a layman’s understanding. Nonetheless, as I understand it, the mere act of observing a quantum particle actually affects the state that it is in. I am reticent to say much else because I don’t want to confuse anyone, but I believe this is why many women emphasize confidence. If you approach a situation with the confidence that the outcome will be favorable to you, then such an outcome is also more likely.

I am not saying that confidence alone is 100% determinant of an outcome, but I do think it has a significant effect, and I also believe that one’s general confidence has a significant effect on their outward appearance. But I also believe the effect is reciprocal: the more one improves their outward appearance, the more confident they will be, and the more their outward appearance will improve.

Again, this isn’t the only determining factor. There are certainly external factors that can erode your confidence and lead to a negative feedback loop, but guarding your mental health and practicing mental resilience can help overcome those challenges
