Dunno, I've been attracted to guys 5 years younger than me and 5-10 years older than me. If you're 28, in great shape (and have a body type that I find attractive), and you've got a winning personality (from my perspective, at least), you'll be very hot, but a 37 y.o. who has the same characteristics would also be very hot. But if we're going by the average 37 y.o. or the average 28 y.o., the younger one might take care of himself a bit more than the older one, so the younger dude would be a sexier option, I guess.

It would not make any difference to me if both were equally physically attractive.

However, if it’s a serious relationship I pick 5 years older and if it’s purely sexual I pick 5 years younger. I’m 34 fwiw.

I'm 26. Definitely 5 years older. 5 years younger feels way too young. If we're talking relationship, I want to be with someone who's stable and knows what they want. That's much more likely to happen with someone in their early 30s than with a fresh grad.

Definitely younger. I look younger than my age, I get along with younger people better. I want to have fun, I'm afraid older would be boring and have less energy. Younger are generaly better looking. Men die sooner. I have money for both of us, it's doesn't matter. Generaly I feel that younger is more on my level, closer to me and I want equal partner, not a new dad. Plus I think younger can love better and not hold back, older might be carefull and control their feelings...

Younger generally speaking but depends on the guy. I would date either so long as they look good to me.

A few years ago I would have said older definitely because someone 5 years younger would’ve been a child.

It depends which person I "click" with, i.e. who's compatible and who I have emotional connection with. I cannot feel sexual attraction on appearance alone and I always take some time to develop it. Assuming I feel the connection with both of them and they're both family-minded, I'd probably go for 5 years younger. Statistically men die younger, there's no reason to raise your risks by dating older.

Older for sure, 5 years younger seem like kids. I've met some incredibly hot younger men objectively physically speaking, but I can't get over the feeling while talking to them that they're so childlike. I think this will probably change as I age tbh as a lot of maturation happens in your 20s as you learn to be independent and navigate relationships and commitments.

At 25 it would have been 5 years older as 20 guies tend to look very young, almost childish. Now, I'm 33, it's whatever. The difference is not so general and strong anymore. 28 to 38 guies may look very similar depending on the person. My only problem with 38 would be there is more chance they dress like adult men like all serious and I don't like that.

Physically attractive? Totally dependent on their body type & style of dress.

Assuming both looked equally like my “type”, it would come down to emotional maturity, which usually means the 5 years older. You could not pay me enough to date a 20 year old again.

Wait a minute minute, that is a huge age spectrum of women you are asking. A women who is 25 will most likely say older and a women 45 will most likely say younger. Men who are 30ish to 35ish are more attractive then other men.
