6’ is some magical number for American women. They’ll get ran thru by a bunch before she realizes she’s not 6’+ stud wife material. Then the standards, height included, start dropping.

But short guys know this. And they’re resentful. Coupled with likely aggressive and subtle bullying throughout life, I can figure where the ‘short man syndrome’ can come from…

Ehhh I don’t think it matters much my boy is 5’7 and pulls like no other. My favorite wingman to go out with and I’m 6’4. We have no problem getting women together in fact he’ll usually pull more than me because he’s got such dope confident energy.

Edit: your height will get them to pay attention but your energy and how you present yourself gets them into bed or on an actual date.

All women are different in their approach to this. I am 5’6”, maybe with an extra inch when I have my boots on. Two of the three women I’m currently sleeping with are multiple inches taller than me. The biggest height discrepancy between myself and a lover has been a woman up to 6’5”. In my mind it is entirely based on the person and how you frame yourself. There is nothing you can do about your height, so accept and love yourself as is. If a potential partner dismisses you because of that then fuck em, they aren’t worth your time. That is a type of judgment that reflects a broader insecurity about who that person is. It is their loss that they don’t love themselves enough to be confident with someone different than them. Of course, bodies move differently at different sizes and how someone expresses affection may be altered. But all in all I think if you’re confident in yourself, self assured in who you are and what you want while respecting your partner and their boundaries, then it won’t matter.

Im 6’2 cant relate to the short kings. But honestly we would be lying if we said its not going to be harder for them. It is what it is reality is really fucking harsh sometimes. Just change what u can and improve where u can tbh.

I think the majority of girls prefer guys that are taller than themselves by a certain amount. This is the barrier. Some girls don't care, and a small minority would prefer guys shorter than themselves. Too tall is also a problem. I am sure there is research data on this. So then, as a short guy, I would just look for girls shorter than me.

This is very true for women who view themselves to be in the top 5-10% and who are under 30. They'll put up with tons of bad and selfish behavior until they realize these tall guys will never respect them. People who have always been considered attractive aren't often forced to develop their personalities or emotional intelligence.. And it shows.

This has been an interesting topic that I’ve brought up with my girlfriends recently. We are all single, 28/29F, and around 5’2-8”. A few of the tall girls are adamant about dating taller men, while there are two that do not care at all about height. The tallest of the group dated a man shorter than her for years, and said that because he was so great in bed, it didn’t matter. He was confident. One of our friends is 5 foot 5 and is incredible shallow about height. She pays for Hinge in order to filter men above 6 foot 3. She says that she likes to feel small and dainty, and dominated in bed. Fair enough.

Some of my friends are convinced that only taller men are “packing”, while I completely disagree. Sometimes it’s the taller men who lay there like a starfish in bed, and have never had to develop a full personality because their height was such a flex. eye roll I am 5 foot 3 and used to hook up with a man 2 inches shorter than me. I will be 90 years old and will still say that he had the biggest ding-a-ling of all time.

Height. Shouldn’t. Matter. If it does, move on. If you’re insecure, work on that, and come back to dating when you’re feeling more confident. There are always women looking! Hope this helps.

I’m 5’7 and I don’t feel insecure or resentful. Mostly I’m decent looking in the face and I work out. 💪🏻 And that also means I pull a lot of girls. But to be totally honest and say do I wish I’m taller? Absolutely. Who wouldn’t? It’s like big boobs in a girl. It’s a cheat code in life. But hey I just want to say not all short guys are insecure and some do live peaceful life and have good morals and self esteem.

It’s only an insecurity if you let it be. Accepting who you are including your height is a key factor in confidence, and that’s what really attracts women.

Maybe it's because I live in L.A and there is such a huge pool with women who don't give a fuck that I'm on the short side and even then I date women who are 5 foot nothing and I'm actually quite tall to them or the perfect height. At 5’8 and 25 years of age I estimate (somewhat disgusted with myself) that Im in the mid to high 60s in terms of women Ive slept with.( some 7s, mostly 8s and some 9s with 2 or 3 10s when I’ve been on my absolute game) If you workout, are confident, funny and at least somewhat easy on the eyes you’re fine. Most guys lose with women before they even start. Its all in your head. If you’re at least taller then them you have a good shot. Them being taller then you is like playing in the championship game. If you come out hot you can win there too.

Ironically an ex of mine who wanted to remain ‘friends’ set me up with a friend of hers. She did this because she thought we would ‘hit it off’. We FaceTimed, had a good chat and made dinner plans for sushi. I suspect this was a petty move by my ex to get back at me for ending things and refusing to put up with her psychosis. Reason being I showed up and the girl was 6 feet tall, Swedish, blonde hair and blue eyes. Legitimate perfect ten model material. I assumed my ex wanted me to fail. I think to myself fuck, might as well dance while Im here. We hit it off and grab drinks at a bar after dinner. Apparently she was explicitly told by my ex not too sleep with me in addition to being out of my league. Long story boring I woke up at four am next to her, left note about the great time I had and hightailed it to my 6am flight to Texas for vakay. Moral of the story, hooking up with girls is not a math test. Its a test of the mind. Down 5 runs with 2 outs you always have a shot to get the win.

I’m 5 ft 5 and I’ve been getting laid pretty regularly since I was 14. I dunno the whole “short guys struggle with women” is a myth in my eyes.

Yeah some girls suck and will write me off before they even had a conversation with me and I typically don’t hook up with girls that tower over me. But I just keep it moving.

I’ve seen ugly ass dudes with bad ass woman. So I would say seduction is more about confidence than it is about any physical trait.

Edit: I’ve actually had a girl tell me to my face. “Your such a fun and caring guy, it’s a shame your too short for me.”

after she said it I told her how that was rude but I didn’t take offense to it. I always like to make the comparison with calling woman fat. And she instantly apologized and I said it was cool just be careful who you say that to because some men will interpret it the wrong way.

We proceeded to have an interesting conversation about how society sets absurd standards for beauty that basically only the few who hit the genetic lottery can obtain.

And ended up hooking up with her the same night.

But yes, statistically women don't like short men as much due to sexual dimorphism - height is one of those traits that differentiate men from women and turn on women. But lower odds only mean you need to ask more girls out. And as others have mentioned you can improve your odds through compensating in other categories (social skills, money, status, etc.).

As a 22 5'4 guy I don't want to sugarcoat the fact that women are harsh on men especially to guys in their early 20s. There really isn't a lot you can do about it besides self-improvement. Women from 18 - 25 hold a lot of social and sometimes financial advantages than men in their early 20s.

This isn't exclusive to short men. Women in their early 20s do actually want to pursue tall looking guys who are taking law or psychology degrees.

When women's value starts to decline around 27 including guys who only got around with their looks will struggle. That 27 - 35 period for men is when women enter the settling down phase where they can settle down with the nearest provider making over $80000, with life experience and hobbies.
