I think there's several reasons for this:

The big outer game thinkers like Mystery and Style have been circulating for a while. Things like takeaways, negs, false time constraints, qualifiers, disqualifiers, this stuff is nothing new to people who have been following seduction for a while.
Canned lines have only limited value in seduction and the greater community is waking up to that fact. Personally I think canned lines only have value in very specific situations, mostly in between opening, and hooking the set. Over relying on them turns you into a social robot, and limits spontaneity.
Most newbies need more help with inner game, and its where they experience the highest returns on. This is why Mark Manson is so popular nowadays. I think he is one of the best inner game thinkers around and his words still have value to me. The simple fact is, you don't truly conquer neediness and embrace the concept of vulnerability until you've had a successful LTR or two and/or get your belt notches into double digits. I've done both these things and I'm still working on neediness and learning to walk away from manipulative women. Yesterday I just nexted a girl who I had given far too many chances to, and watched my phone explode as she sent me a string of needy, angry, nonsensical texts. And as I sat there chuckling to myself, I realized the only success here was that it was her losing her shit rather than me, and the real failure was letting it drag on as long as it did and get to that point. I hate it when a seduction descends into what MM called a "game battle", because even if you come out on top, you still haven't won anything of value.
There's a big gap in seduction knowledge when it comes to calibration and intuitively understanding a woman's emotional dynamics. Dynamics being the key word. Seduction is a dance of emotions, and the role of a man is to understand how your words and actions impacted her and where to go next. The problem is, every woman is different, and coming up with a mental framework from which to orient yourself requires a very keen understanding of psychology and the emotional dynamics of pickup. I think Vin DiCarlo makes a strong effort at addressing this point with Pandora's Box, but I'm personally not satisfied with it.

I'm working on this final point on my own, and I think I'll have something to present to Seddit soon that hopefully will have the same impact on seduction tactics as Mark Manson had on its strategy and philosophy. I'm aiming to have something that will allow a dude to constantly and seamlessly calibrate to a woman's emotions, because it isn't like they say what they're feeling as you're spitting game. That will allow you to use the concepts of "creepy" and "needy" as calibration tools, rather than objects of dread. Ultimately, I want to use the subjective nature of pickup to create an objective philosophy, by using the one commonality all women have, which is their emotions. They all have the same ones, but different ones are engaged at different points using different means. And often, once you figure out one particular woman's emotional layout, seduction is easy.

Mark Manson probably had a lot to do with that. I'm a big fan of his and have been following him for a few years but after still not getting the results I wanted I realized: you DEFINITELY need outer game. Yes, solid inner game is crucial to your happiness, but if you want to get laid, you need outer game. I qualify too much I'm starting to realize, and other bad habits that inner game won't fix (not in less than 5 years anyway). I had drifted away from SimplePickup (too gamey) and focused more on Mark Manson, but for me, the results aren't there. Yes, great open honest friendships, but no sex. I need to step it up sexually and aggressively. I need outer game.

I got an outer game tip for you. Stick your tongue out at girls when they are walking by or anywhere that they make eye contact with you really. I'd say it has an ~85% success rate. Most of them get this stupid little smile. Some of them revert back to when they were 5 years old and scrunch their face and get super into sticking their tongue back at you! - it's awesome.

I used to get nervous doing this. So it was a small step for me to get out of my comfort zone. Now, I do it for fun and it usually gets good reactions.

Sure there is lots of outer game advice. You just have to look for it. You will often find lots of good advice deep in comments. Try reading seddit sorted by new instead of the default, it will show you the new material instead of the popular material.

And for that matter, why aren't you posting any outer game material?

Anyone who says they have "great inner game" but still thinks they need to rely on routines is talking out of their ass. You're using routines because you aren't comfortable just being yourself, so you feel the need to paint the picture that you're a confident person without actually taking the time to build a confident character. You can say and do the dumbest shit on the planet, but if you do it confidently, girls will cut you a crazy amount of slack.

I don't know. Complete routines sound fake and almost never work out how it is supposed to in the script. It's more important to be your best, most interesting self who can actually react to the situation you're in. This may be difficult for those who are not good at impromptu humor, and they may have to rely on canned material, but I definitely think improvised material, if you can do it, is better.

Here's my understanding:

Most guys on /r/seduction aren't going out regularly, they certainly aren't opening sets consistently, and they don't know how to do basic socializing.

There's always been a spat of keyboard jockeys, haters and complete charlatans and many of the active guys are trying to commercialize their time and efforts.

Guys looking for nuts and bolts advice probably find it elsewhere. THAT IS NOT TO SAY WE SHOULDN'T BRING UP THOSE POINTS AGAIN ON REDDIT . There are some universal posts that will never, ever be irrelevant, like Tyler's 25 Points from years ago.

If we are going to become an active community instead of a bunch of shoegazing outcasts rationalizing our success and failure, we need an active stance: post good stuff that you know. Give value, help others, mod garbage posts away, post field reports. Intermediate game tips. Early relationship management. Managing a rotation. Guys with intermediate all and beyond are few and far between on seddit, so there should be mild incentives for them to post and contribute. Monthly/weekly challenge threads moderated by a leader. Field report competitions.

Less focus on "seduction is like a tree" or "what we can learn about seduction from shark week " posts. Less "I talked to a girl today and she told me the time! " posts, as great as the feeling of getting started may be. My 2¢

I think we need tags for posts to make it more obvious. We should try to post more outer game topics too though.

You need to focus on both in my opinion. At the same time. These are things I am focusing on atm:

Analyse sitations that went well, analyse situations that went wrong. Learn from this.
Start lifting. Make sure your body gets in great shape. Lifting not only builds muscle, but a sense of achievement, self-respect and it builds character as well.
Wear clothes that compliment you. Don't look like a smug.
Have a sense of value. Don't put the pussy on a pedestal.
Read the classics in PUA. They are classics for a reason.

Canned routines and other peoples material for outer game... these are really just training tools. Get you mind out of the moment by using those which gives you longer to slip into something natural.

If you rely too heavily on "outer game" without changing your inner game, then you are going to fail much more.

Of course, the whole point of that canned material is that you will always be rejected by 100% of women you don't approach. By using the stuff provided, you at least approach more women which automatically increases your odds.

Use the "outer game" stuff to get used to "being yourself" with women. Then use the inner game stuff to make sure that "yourself" is someone they want to talk to.

There is outer game stuff, but it gets downvoted. My comment is going to get downvoted for the same reason, but those of you have been reading this subreddit closely for a while will know what's going on: this sub has been infected by "white knights."

Let's face it, PUA doesn't have the best reputation among the general population, and naturally this sub has a bad rep on reddit. But when we say people hate PUA, what they hate the most are the "techniques"-- all the outer game stuff. Inner game stuff (confidence, etc.) is, for lack of a better word, more "politically correct." And since a lot of the haters have apparently subscribed to the sub, the outer game stuff gets downvoted because they find it offensive, so you end up seeing only one side of the coin.
