So I was shopping at a local grocery store to prepare a birthday dinner for my sister. A while back I found a post on Seddit saying that 'Eye Contact + A smirk will do wonders'. I usually do not make direct eye contacts because quite frankly when I lock eyes with a random girl I quickly look away and my heart races 200bpm(haha).

I was walking towards the poultry section and saw this cute girl. My heart raced but then I just decided to not wimp out, do a direct eye contact, and smirk. I did just that and didn't break eye contact. She smiled back at me until we passed each other. I know it doesn't sound like much but doing this for the first time it felt great! It felt like I flirted with her even before I said anything! Later I had a conversation with her near the bakery section about the nice weather and my sister's birthday plans. I did not get her number but I will do this more often. I still cannot believe that this worked! Thanks again Seddit!
