Try dancing, maybe salsa. Women love a guy that can dance. Even if you've never done it before, go and be confident she will help you. Move those hips.

Any kind of classes you might be interested in anyways, cooking class, dance class, improv etc. Dont go only to meet girls but be aware. You work on your inner game while also meeting girls. Two birds one stone muthafucka!!

Find somewhere to dance. It's a great activity for many reasons; health, community, recreation, social expansion, and learning a really attractive skill. I go line dancing twice a week and it's kept me in amazing shape, I have some like minded friends, got me a Web design gig, met some great women who introduced me to more women, and 3 weeks ago when we went out to see some live music, I started teaching women how to line dance to Wagon Wheel. Quickly became a huge hit among the bar and advertised the line dancing gig I attend, thus expanding a social circle even more.

Join a community. Any community that attracts you. Like photography? Join a group of amateur photographers or take a class by an expert. This goes for hiking, computer stuff, sports, culture, whatever. Get with a group of people who share a common interest. You'll have access to a group of women that you can make a good first impression with and then get to know better. Women drop their guard when they feel safe. If you're part of a community with them, they will be more inclined to see you as one of her own kind and communication will run easier. These women will be likely be closer to your ideal mate than someone you meet in a club. Also, there's always the common interest to revert to when there are lulls in the conversation or moments when you want to reinforce the bond.

The people who do these things are active people and they can be avenues into other social settings with those who share common interests. Meeting these kinds of people will make you more friends and ultimately will be more confident in these social settings. This is huge for making a good impression on women. The longer you're in this community, the more well known and liked you'll become and when you meet new women in the community, they will notice your status. It's planning for the long game, but believe me, it pays off nicely. Niche marketing is far more affective than the blanket approach.

This is going to sound crazy, but if you don't mind a little Jesus, church is a great place to meet women. Some churches even have singles ministries specifically made for that purpose. Episcopalians are going to be your best bet there, because they are pretty much the very last denomination that will get all up in your face and proselytize at you. ELCS Lutherans are another good option. Avoid Baptists and Methodists unless you yourself are also really really into religion.

If you go into a clothing store you can do some crazy shit, like having girls try on clothes for you and getting fashion advice. Like, not picking up the workers but the women who come in shopping.

I'm in the same mood as you. Well bars don't bother me, but it really depends on which, and I hate clubs. Basically just go in coffees on afternoons, chicks are out and not really expecting to get hit on so... As long as they are sitting, you can go for it. Else, they probably are running from a place to the other and won't have time for you. Still, just pick bars according to your kind of personality, you'll find girl of your style.

Barnes and Noble has a surprisingly high number of good looking women come in. It's main downside is the societal expectation that men never approach unknown women in public. But that applies to most advice in this thread.

When you're not picking up women, you can just read, which means it's a nice way to spend an afternoon and it's not made into a special event where you're super dependent on gaining a woman's approval. And my local Barnes and Noble has a coffee shop inside as well, so just offer to buy them a cappuccino or pastry while you talk and it's an instant date. Conversation material is close at hand, as well - ask them what kind of books they like! It's not going to seem nerdy given the environment, and it lets you talk about feelings and junk.

Never actually done this, lol. But it popped into my head the second I read your title, and I might have just talked myself into trying it sometime.

You don't have to pay or prepare that much for places to meet women, because women are literally everywhere. Go to town/stores and you will see a pretty girl ever 5-10 seconds you can approach. I go to gym (more for my body than meeting women so its a bonus) and town to practise and I get more than enough chances. The girls will be impressed faster since it is in public and I'm sure that's less in bars/clubs since the girls are kinda expecting it for boys to do. Girls go to parties to feed their ego in this way.

Clubs for different things, like major interest you have if you're still in college. For instance my school's Enviormental Science Club just went on a camping trip and they partied the whole time. Great way to meet cool girls with similar interest.

Art museums offer the best ratio of stylish chicks to men, but you'd better bring some game and be prepared to do all the heavy lifting. You'd also have a good plan for where it's going next, because you're obviously not going to escalate in the middle of a Rothko exhibit. I like art museums because I think that's a popular destination for single chicks with a brain (I'm picky that way) that don't go out at night. You also have the benefit of plenty of time to size her up, plot her course, and work in a chance encounter. You're also standing, moving, and engaging in an activity that offers some common ground for discussion. You've also got an excuse for being slightly dressed up.

The trick is calling the evening date. I would say you'd need something lined up, like a concert.
