Hold eye contact for a few seconds AND THEN look away. Staring at people is not good.

Honestly you are in too in your head. maybe you need to just go out and make eye contact with people for a while with no intention of approaching them.

you know.. normally, when I look at women they would just look away and usually give that annoyed bitch face it's like "omg, creeps everywhere" or something.

Then I got a job in finance and started hanging around that area wearing formal clothes and that was the only time women actually started looking at me sometimes.

The same person, the same me wearing casual clothes (tshirt/jeans) I'm considered a creep. Put on a shirt/trousers and walk around the area where bankers hang out and work, then I'm considered not only not a creep but even somewhat attractive.

I think it's important to note that I'm from a minority and a little short. I have a feeling that if I were a tall white guy then I wouldn't be considered a creep in tshirt/jeans.

One thing I've noticed that gets a good reaction, if you're actually interested, is you can raise your eyebrows, like you're about to question something.

I've gotten a few girls to say "hi", I've gotten some random flirts, random compliments. The thing is I'm usually walking around with an almost smile, and I consciously relax my eyes in a kind way. When a girl locks eyes with me and we're kinda close to each other, I'll raise my eyebrows. It's an instant communication.

Lmao this happened to me today. A cute girl pushed her cart by me today at walmart. We made eye contact, and I quickly looked away. Remembering that I shouldn't do that, I quickly looked back and she was glancing straight at my crotch.

I started making it a little bit of a challenge, or a game with myself if you will, that anytime I lock eyes with a girl I don't look away until she does. If she's still looking at you, it can't be creepy.

You are looking away out of reflex, the same way that you flinch when someone pretends to hit you. Thw only way to avoid it is by making a conscious effort to not look away. You really have to fight the instinct.

Just count to 3 while making eye contact. They will almost always look away before you get to 3, but make a game of it, see which ones stay. If you get to 3, smile. That's what I did, seems to work.

I think it's just a habit you'll have to break like you would any other habit. Becoming more conscious of it is a good first step! Next time this situation happens in real life try to hold your gaze for a brief bit longer. Work your way up to a smile/nod. I kick myself for this too sometimes.

I struggled with this for years. Honestly, there's no trick to it, it just takes practice. Start out with less attractive women if you have to, but you should really be trying to make strong eye contact with every woman you find attractive in almost all situations.

But trust me, when you start to get the hang of it, you'll absolutely love it. Sometimes you get into these crazy intense 5-10 second stare downs with women as you're walking past them. I still struggle with approach anxiety, but I've all but mastered the art of eyeball-fucking and I love it.

Practice this on other people.

A great way I've found to practice not looking away from people is to walk up a busy road, with a lot if traffic. You can stare at people to get better at doing it, and not worry about doing it for too long because the environment forces a break. All you have to do is stare right into people's eyes. As you walk and they drive away you can keep eye contact for longer than you want, and not feel weird.

Something else to keep in mind is you'll never see those people again, so you don't have to worry about feeling creepy. 99% of those people wouldn't stop, turn around and confront you about staring, and the small chance someone would, they've got better shit to do. And they probably didn't even notice you staring.

If you do still feel weird, wear sun glasses.

Hold eye contact and then be the first to break it. That's a sign of disinterest and rejection. Hence why women do it so often. Later on you can lock eyes and eyefuck each other.

Thanks for the responses! I will definitely be trying 'the game' making a conscious effort to keep eye contact as you guys said. It was just in a lecture earlier today I saw my definition of 9/10 pale skin, dark eyes dark hair. They are a rare breed in my country. Will not be making the same mistake again

I've had this dilemma in my mind a lot. Because I stare at women a lot. I think women are so hot. But What's the purpose of staring if you aren't approaching her? Is it to appreciate her beauty? Why not just stare at a photo? I think it is creepy, at the very least chodish if you dont approach. She's some random girl. She's hot but so what. What are you doing about it? But does It make her uncomfortable? Do we as individuals deserve the right to be free of people causing discomfort towards us? What if the discomfort stems from an illogical understanding of the situation? I need to get out of my head
