We had a few financial loose ends left. I think those are resolved as of this week. I signed the QDRO today. It gets filed. And Fidelity does a bit of magic.

I got a notice of withdrawal from my main lawyer. I get a refund there. She'll probably find a way to soak up a few more hundred dollars. Readily paid.

I think this is it. I'm done. I feel like I just completed high school or college. "You mean... this is it? I never come back here? WOW."

Now that the QDROs are done, I finally feel it's okay to move funds. I can start rebuilding financially. I talk to a financial advisor on Friday. Retirement is going to be tricky. But it's under my control now and that's liberating.

Everything else is in the rear view mirror.

It took three years.

For those just starting out, it's a hell of a process. Year 1 was mostly panic. Year 2 was mostly depression. I ended up in tears (I'll admit it) at the end of Year 2 really believing it would never end. Like, I'd be paying $2000 a month to my lawyer forever. I thought my ex wife would continue a war of attrition indefinitely. But she finally got called out on it. And it worked against her.

Divorce is survivable.

Good luck everyone.
