So last Sunday I brought the dog to my STBXW. While there we talked a little. She was just complaining about having to do normal adult things. She mentioned she got another W2 from her job because they separated her working hours and training hours into two W2s. She said it casually in the context of having to call the accountant again.

I’m just realizing now how badly she just screwed up. The separation agreement, which we still haven’t signed, states she made $26k last year. The other W2 probably bumps her up to $40k.

We went through a whole mediation under the impression her income was $26k, when it may have been >50% higher…

As written, the agreement has me paying her $30k to go away. That’s a ton. More than she would get at trial, probably. I’d really like to get this down to $23,000 - subtract half the difference in the W2s.

What’s my best strategy here?

Should I let her sign the agreement with the inaccurate income and then spring it on her that because she wasn’t candid about her income I would be paying less?

Maybe I bring it up before we sign the agreement? Or another session with the mediator?

I’m so ready to be done with this
