Anyways, STBXW came over yesterday to get some clothes and started to ask me questions about if something was wrong with the garage. I told her no, I just had to get some cable to finish installing cameras. Of course it was “I’ve wanted cameras for years, why now?” And I told her it was so she didn’t falsely call 911 on me like she threatened to and to protect the kids. Our neighborhood is across the street from a police station and old people drive up and down the road on a golf cart… it’s not exactly unsafe.

Anyways, I asked about the mediation dates and somehow that landed on how I’m “living it up over here making 100k” I remember getting that promotion, I was on a meeting at 6am with my boss in the UK, and went from 75-105. I immediately jumped up and told her after the call, she met it with a generic “that’s good babe you deserve it” if by living it up, she means I bought a walking pad, some cheap amcrest cameras, a fuel pump to get my truck back on the road, and a $200 harbor freight welder, I guess I am…

Just felt like a gut punch, I didn’t come from money. Had an arguably rough childhood. My wife said she quit caring several years ago, and left in September. Why is she angry that she’s walking away? I’ve always busted my ass for my family, even now. I didn’t get breaks. Or anything given to me. I worked hard enough so that she could be a SAHM if she wanted, or pursue school but she hated school, so just worked here and there.
