For context, I am a 30 (M) who has been out in the field on and off since college in Southern California. I had one long term relationship which ended a few months ago and I have been out again trying to polish my skills. Mostly night game.

I feel that there has been a major shift in the quality and attitudes of women when I go out. Back in the late 2010s it felt so much easier to meet fun and chill girls who were enthusiastic to meet and learn about me. It was easy to spark a conversation and I used to have women actually approach me out of interest.

These days it feels like all of the women that go out have strong guards up. They are reluctant to speak to me and when they do the conversations are super dull. Everyone is in their own world and I feel a strong sense of skepticism on their end. It feels like the women are much more jaded and almost sick of attention from men.

On top of this, it feels like the overall quantity and quality of women that go out has gone way down. I was used to encountering groups of beautiful women while out on the town and I just don’t see that as much anymore.

I know I’m older, but if anything I have taken more care of myself and look better than I did back then. The only thing I can think of is the rise in popularity of dating apps and social media. Is it possible that women in today’s world have so much validation and attention on these platforms that they have no reason to go out anymore? Is the validation so desensitizing that they no longer feel the need to engage with men? I would think that real life interactions take precedence but maybe not!?

I’m curious to hear your thoughts and experiences in recent years and how you navigate these issues if you do encounter them.
