Look at the average guy’s life in Western society. He works a 9-to-5 job, maybe goes to the gym, maybe gets some exercise - and then he spends his evenings alone. Sometimes he’s out getting drunk with friends, but most of the time, he’s just alone. No romantic connections, no adventures.

And what do these evenings look like? Swiping on dating apps. Watching porn. Bingeing Netflix. Basically, he’s glued to some kind of screen. Now, if you’re this kind of guy - if you’re living like this day in, day out - let me ask you: do you respect yourself? Honestly, do you?

Because from where I’m standing, you don’t. You’re desensitizing yourself to misery. You’re living in this miserable cycle, and instead of breaking out of it, you just settle. You tell yourself, “It’s fine. I’m fine.”

Some guys even go as far as to say, “I don’t need women. That’s just a distraction.” Like, what are you even talking about? Everything you do - everything men have ever done, really - is, in some shape or form, to get women. Why do men chase money and strive for power? At the end of the day to simply to attract a mate.

So if you’re pretending that this part of your life doesn’t matter, you’re not fooling anyone. Everyone knows you’re miserable. You know you’re miserable. Like Ben Stiller said in Dodgeball, “I know you. You know you. I know you know I know you.” You can’t fake it.

And if you’re doing stuff like going to shady massage parlors, paying for OnlyFans, or God knows what else - you don’t respect yourself. You’re trying to fake a connection with money, but you can’t buy that kind of connection. Sure, you can scratch an itch temporarily. Watch some porn, pay for sex - it might numb things for a bit, but it all comes back. The emotional frustration? The deeper problems? They only get worse.

And if you’re not even trying to fix this, if you’re not doing the obvious things to solve these problems, you simply don’t respect yourself. And how long are you planning to live like this? How long are you going to keep waking up, looking in the mirror, and pretending this is fine?

Think about it - life is short. You’re going to die someday. Are you really okay with spending your days like this? Not respecting yourself? Not going after what you truly want?

Look around you. Other guys are out there having amazing adventures and relationships, living life, connecting with women. And then there’s you, sitting on the sidelines, telling yourself, “That’s just not for me.”

Really? That’s what you’re telling yourself? Do you think your ancestors would be proud of that? “Oh, I guess Johnny’s just too short. Too skinny. Born in the wrong city. He doesn’t need women. He’s a serious man with a serious job.”

Come on, man. Wake up. What are you doing?

I hate that I even have to make this post, but I talk to guys like this all the time. Guys who are slowly dying inside because they’re pretending these problems don’t exist.

So if you really respect yourself, start taking action. And no, I don’t mean going to the gym - that’s good for your health, but it’s not going to fix this. Watching videos about masculinity on the internet? That’s not going to fix it either.

What’s going to fix it is getting out there and talking to women and simply getting better at it. That’s the real work. Everything else? It’s just a distraction.

So stop lying to yourself. Stop settling. If you really respect yourself, it’s time to start proving it.
