I could have understood where you were coming from - until you suggested that Trumps 'ceasefire' had any weight to it. He wants to hand ukraine over to putin on a silver platter, he doesnt give a shit about the ukrainian people or anyone else.

Ukraine is choosing to fight, so we support them. Its not a footballs game, its defending the very core of human decency against tyranny and dictators. The US seems to be forgetting that.

By this logic, any country that cares about men's rights which gets attacked should immediately capitulate to the invader.

-> This would lead to more countries that don't care about men's rights attacking the countries that do, knowing they'll get an easy win.

-> By a process akin to natural selection, all countries that care about men's rights would get wiped off the map.

Rather than doing this, maybe find more roles for women in the military?

Because the opinions you hear come from people who aren't there fighting.

Almost 100% of the people supporting the continuation of the war are:

1) Ukrainian women who are living their best life in Europe, literally being paid to do nothing while the war continues - this is 100% true and only Germany is paying for 700 000 Ukrainians to be on holidays since the beginning of the war. If you don't believe it just do some research

2) people who know they won't be affected by the war so sure let's play some cold war with other's lives

3) people who are profiting with the war.

It's hard to know how Ukrainians feel because we know we can't trust the media or even this own subreddit with that propaganda pinned on here.

People there are probably scared to speak out publicly against their government.

I love this subreddit. For three years, they have been exposing how Ukraine kidnaps men to die on the front lines, treating it as slavery, along with a strong willingness to criticize the arguments commonly used by "pro-war" supporters to justify the systemic sacrifice of men in these situations—among them, fear-based propaganda often used to silence critical thinking about a conflict. A lot of my own thinking was shaped thanks to this subreddit, but for some reason, in this particular post, they're resorting to the same textbook arguments.

I can't say that what you're saying is correct, but someone used Mexico invading the USA as an example to justify the fear of invasion. MEXICO. A country plagued by drug trafficking, and this person thinks it could finance an invasion of the very country that already took half of its territory. Clearly, the so-called "reasonable" comments in this post aren't very reasonable, haha.

Please, don’t pay too much attention to them and keep a critical mindset—that’s my advice.

I totally agree with you. And I support Trump's decision to cease fire as well.

Warmongering from afar living in a safe country is very easy. There would definitely be more supporters of ceasefire if the victims were predominantly women. Anyone who warmongers feels entitled to men's lives.

Warmongering is not standing with Ukraine, it's standing with the destruction of Ukraine. Already almost one million Ukrainian men are dead and they don't have enough artillery to win the war. Russia is advancing. Zelensky, of course, would have you believe otherwise, but only because he needs to save face.

Anyone who warmongers from afar would not be as eager to continue the war if they were in the trenches themselves.

I believe that the voice on these issues should be given to those and only to those who actively defend Ukraine or are under a threat of forced draft. And it is quite plausible that they would vote to cease fire. This is why the authorities have to resort to the abduction of men on the streets — they don't want to fight.

Otherwise, it's akin to Hunger Games, where elites decide if men die or not, and men themselves have no say. This is exactly how the people in the comment section act.

I also disagree with how the war is presented in Western media. They believe that the war is imperialist in nature, and that Ukraine stands for freedom and independence. If the war was imperialist, Putin would not agree to cease fire, he would hammer on, conquering even more lands. He is winning so far. But after a call with Trump he changed his mind. Trump's proposition was to stop the expansion of NATO. And this is the main reason for why the war started. Ukraine does not stand for freedom and independence by treating men like cannon fodder.

I'm sorry, but this take is just incredibly wrong. Russia is the real aggressor here. Period. Imagine a situation, where Mexico invades the USA for example and your beloved country is being taken away. Would you give up your country, just so the war stops? Or a different scenario - Imagine your neighbor is being attacked one morning, would you be also telling the neighbor to simply give up, just to result in "peace"? Every sane person wishes for war to stop. However, appeasement is not a key, look up what the Munich Agreement resulted to us, Czechoslovakia in 1939. Never again.

So yes many men will die and protecting their homes and loved ones, and so will many women as Ukrainians have some amazing women in their military service. The is not a male vs female fight.

Either they fight off Russia, or Russia will destroy the entire nation. Russia has murdered many Ukrainians. Stalin killed many in the Holodomor, but he also ensured many died fighting Germany. If you look at what he is doing in the bits of Ukraine he captured, he is murdering men, raping women and kidnapping children.

Trump is a Russian agent. He is turning the US from supporting what is right (that Ukrainians get to live in Ukraine, free from oppression) to supporting Putin, a genocidal despot. If there was a cease fire, it would last until Putin was strong enough for round 3.

Because they are going to a meat grinder this or other way. There are almost no men left on territories occupied by Russia. They forcefully sent all male Ukrainians living in Donetsk and Lugansk to fight against Kiev.

Kremlin commented many times that they want to restore USSR/Russian empire. They won't stop with Ukraine and will use the population against other countries.

Except that this is NOT such situation - minor detail - a lot of people with Ukranian citizenship nag in Telegram channels and elsewhere about several days long filtration process in one of Moscow Airports and that some of them ARE refused entry to Russia.

Ukrainians, who comes to country their leadership says they are at war with and nag about being refused entry and sent back to country they arrived (by air) from. Some are still getting Russian citizenship via expedited means.
