It happens way more often than it should, as if any one time is really too much. She is 26 years younger than I am, but she's not a teenager. She's considerably older than a typical college graduate.

We'll be taking a walk and an apparent older woman will ask me if she's my daughter. 1) It's none of her business. 2) We both know where she's really headed with this. At first, I would be the one to mention that she's my girlfriend. It would ALWAYS be countered with how she's too young for me, then usually followed up, right in front of her, about how I'm a predator.

This goes one of two ways. I defend myself with how we both know each other's ages. We're very comfortable with each other and we're happy. The older woman doubles down with "how I should be ashamed of myself" and "what could I possibly have in common with her". My girlfriend defends us and the older woman takes a much more calm and condescending tone with her, stating how she should watch out because I'm grooming her. I'm only after her for her youth and I'll never marry her. (Honestly, we've talked about all of this. I am in no way deceiving her, nor do either of us want marriage, btw.)

I swear, it's almost like a script out of the "woman's handbook". Does anyone else have to deal with this? I honestly don't know how I can remain calm about this. I usually try to stay calm because I know it will piss them off more, but it's really pissing me off. I don't know how my girlfriend remains so calm, laughing it off.
