For some reason such a simple statement brings such vitriol, dismissiveness and ridicule. Even if I make a point of saying I do not hate all women, that I have some wonderful friends who are women, that I know there are good women out there, that I know I have some responsibility for the failed relationships I've been involved in and some of my exes were genuinely good people I just wasn't compatible with...

The point remains though, the people who have hurt me most in my life have been women, and for some reason this is viewed by society as some sort of extremist thing to say. Even if all you want is to be left alone and not date at all anymore that also somehow makes you a dangerous threat.

I'm not sure what the solution is, this is a greater societal issue, but the reality is once you see how the "Women are Wonderful" effect is set to 11/10 in our modern culture you can't unsee it.

Just thought guys here might understand a bit and maybe have some advice on how to overcome this and move past it. I'm coming to terms with the fact that as a man very few if any people actually care about you, you are almost always guaranteed to be viewed by others as the problem in any relationship issues, you will get very little if any support.

Is there a winning strategy here? The best I've been able to do is try and practice some stoicism and focus on myself and the things I can control. It's hard not to despair about the state of the world though.

I still want to be a father and husband, someday, to have a happy and loving family but that just seems increasingly unrealistic in this day and age. I don't know what the solution is other than to give up on that.

The culture and government/legal institutions we live our lives within are just not friendly to men at all. You are a disposable biorobot whose purpose is to serve and as soon as you stumble you're not just replaceable you're a dangerous leper that needs to be destroyed before you contaminate the rest of the stock. Has it always been this way? Is there any way of changing this or is our only option to either accept it or check out completely?

This may belong more in r MensRights but it's hard to avoid how those legal frameworks and institutions in society are built to favor women, despite what we're routinely told about patriarchy and whatever else, and how divorce as a topic is more or less ground zero for all the above. I'm honestly not sure what I'm even looking for now, even with this post, other than to maybe know I'm not alone and that there is a reason to continue on despite everything.
