I think the thing that draws me back every day is the constant reinforcement of TRP mindset in each post. Most of us have been raised BP and have been indoctrinated to believe and behave in such a manner. It takes a lot of time, unlearning, and relearning each and every day for me to get this down. Most of the time reading a post, I'm able to come away with a RP nugget of wisdom.

I'll agree that shit is quality, and that's why I read TRP every day. But, I'd still say I find quality on TRP more often than not because of the narrative of the sub in general. That is something you will not find anywhere else.

True. But the sub offers the most up to date topics and the ability to engage and interact with other users. It's apples and oranges really.

You need to up your grammar game, bro. Can't understand you.

[–]QQ_L2P 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Despite the lack of grammar, his message is clear. Since the recent influx there has been a marked rise of posts from guys who are just swallowing the pill and are in the anger phase. This is normal.

However, at some point they are going to have to accept it and move on. Bitching about it on this sub can to an extent, help this process, but it's easy for newbies to fall into the trap of constantly bitching and never improving themselves. They are shunning the responsibility of improving themselves in favour of pointlessly yelling at 'them darn hamsters'.

Guess who else shuns responsibility onto some nebulous concept. Did you guess women? Ding ding ding ding!

Thanks for the links, as someone who joined the red pill community yesterday, I've been reading the posts nonstop for the past four hours.

reddit has a sorting option, the subreddit has labels which allows filtering

red pill examples and red pill theory sorted by best of all time are gold

[–]harkrank 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, sadly we need to indoctrinate ourselves to change the programming.

[–]NakedAndBehindYou17 points 12 years ago* [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link

The reason this subreddit bitches so much about feminism is because there really isn't much else to talk about on a daily basis. Everything that can be done to improve your SMV has already been said here: lift weights, become more successful, dress better, act more confident and outgoing, learn game, etc.

Occasionally someone comes along with a groundbreaking post but that only happens once in awhile.

[–]3NO_LAH_WHERE_GOT 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'd like to see more discussions about how to navigate complex power-play scenarios- at work, in family, amongst friends, etc.

[–]Ferelden 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The way to do that is to promote conversation. Next time you attempt it at work or wherever make a field report. People will comment with ideas on why it went well or badly and you can make changes accordingly. In my opinion this is the way the entire sub should be headed.

[–]harkrank 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's extremely complicated and depends on how much you invest yourself in different "games" (power play situations) and how much people think you are invested in them.

[–]3NO_LAH_WHERE_GOT 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, I am aware of that. I agree. All the more reason why I think we should be talking about it more.

[–]harkrank 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There's endless discussions to be had about how game, the male and female mind and everything called society or culture works. "Become more successful" has room for thousands of threads discussing it on different levels, the same goes for "learn game" and the other things you mention.

[–]Ferelden 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Completely agree. I've been angry about the lack of content on this sub for awhile. 9/10 posts should be in pussy pass or men's rights (or whatever sub wants to bitch about feminism). Here it should be field reports (even when failure occurs, self reflection is invaluable here and outside perspective helps a great deal). Field reports can be about lifting, dieting, game, an interesting take on a good book, or anything you're DOING. I think the mods should start going as far as to delete all posts that are just complaints on feminism. Give points to posts (not just comments) that are constructive to this board as to encourge we get more field reports of the type I spoke about before.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just miss FR. Therefore I should go work in the field and report~~!

[–]nourathrowway 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. Understanding how women work is the more complex and discussable part. But as per the complaints lately, we do need to focus on understanding women, not just complaining about them.

[–]XCowboyLowkesx 30 points31 points32 points 12 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

You know I've been hearing a lot lately that you should read more non fiction. I think it's going a bit extreme lately. You should read all types of books. Fiction and non fiction. Brothers karomozov and the other great novels come to mind. Reading strictly nonfiction is just as bad as reading strictly fiction

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Can somebody here provide an explanation as to why non fiction is so much better than fiction?

Read Badge of Courage, The Pearl, and the Iliad are all great books regardless of whether the stories contained within actually happened. Enjoying art is not only one of the great pleasures in life, but it is a form of self improvement by which you expand your perspective of the human condition and gain wisdom.

Will it get you laid? Admittedly, probably not. But everything a man does should not revolve around SMV and how to get women.

[–]seedang 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

he said "read nonfiction" not "don't read fiction". nonfiction can lead to self improvement depending on how you use it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fiction can also lead to self improvement. I've learned a lot about being a man from books like the Iliad, Captain Michalis, and Zorba the Greek. It's taught me about stoicism, bravery, and what it truly means to be free.

Read great literature. That's what we should say. Saying to "read non fiction" implies that it is somehow more valuable than fiction. I don't see this as necessarily true. Obviously I don't think you should read trashy adventure novels or romantic fantasies, but there is a lot of great literature that can lead to self improvement that falls under the category of fiction.

[–]seedang 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

fiction is much less likely to lead to self improvement.

[–]Toof 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've been reading a lot of philosophy. The way I see it, I'm already changing my world view based on the experiences and thoughts of random fucks on the internet... why not read the random thoughts of a Roman Emperor to see his world view? Meditations by Marcus Aurelius was what got me started.

If you're broke, get a Nook for about $35-$60 on eBay or on sale, and download all the pdfs and epubs to your heart's content.

Reading fiction is like watching TV to learn about the world - you are really just learning what the writers think is most entertaining - its heavily distorted reality.

Reading non-fiction lets you learn about the real world in a less distorted fashion. Its second hand knowledge, so, still distorted to some extent, but its not fantasy.

Biographies of people worth admiring might be a good start.

[–]Gyaltso 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How about just read good books? There's gold and garbage no matter if it's fiction or not.

Sure, its better than watching TV, and you really self-improving by reading fiction? Would you be self-improving more by reading a history book or biography, where you can learn how real people got ahead in the real world?

[–]apackofwankers 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ohh I just got schooled by an english teacher ;)

Biography, not bibliography, you are right, of course.

Fiction can indeed expand your horizons. One of my greatest pleasures is reading the Science Fiction works of Greg Egan, a quantum physicist, who explores possible futures - diamond hard sci fi.

Thats said, whilst sci-fi has encouraged my imagination, I couldn't argue that it has contributed to me getting ahead in the real world.

What did help me get ahead was having an interest in wargames as a child. From that interest, I developed models of the solar system (for generating solar systems for scifi roleplaying games - I came up with an innovative predictor of what elements and compounds planetary atmospheres would be composed of, based on planet size, gravity, solar radiation, and whether the thermal velocity exceeded escape velocity). Christ, I learned so many many things by trying to understand and model the world for roleplaying and wargames.

But, non-fiction is where I learn the most.

[–]harkrank -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Fiction seems so completely useless to me when the real world is filled with so many great stories beyond our wildest imagination. Fiction is damp, dusty and diseased. You are reading the fantasies of some demented person when you could read the marvels of real history.

Fiction did however have a value in putting words to and exposing developments and cultural changes in the past when there were few vectors for speaking clearly. Today we have the internet and can anonymously describe and discuss any phenomena in clear words without inhibitions. That is why fiction has lost it's purpose.

[–]tedted8888 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Non fiction can illuistrate examples of masculine behavior. Think Count of monte cristo. That book expresses complex emotions of honor revenge lust ect. Richard Dawlkins and Anthony Robbins aren't going to teach you that.

edit I got your comment backwards. I value nonfiction over fiction. Like 80% non fiction self improvment David Deangelo/Robbins/RSD/Brian Tracy/Steven Covey, and 20% movies/fiction. In fiction you have to think about the plot and the characters and crap. I'm to lazy to decipher morals. I just read david d. or Robbins and listen to what they have to say. My time is valuable.

[–]harkrank 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In your first sentence did you mean to write "fiction" instead of "non-fiction"?

[–]smokingmonkey420 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I happen it like fiction books...

[+]chakravanti93 -9 points-8 points-7 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Bar a few classics and obscure titles, fiction is not edifying. What you like is irrelevant to that which edifying.

It's like whining that you want soda when your parents tell you to eat a goddamn vegetable. Nobody fuckin' cares.

[–]smokingmonkey420 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I disagree. I find fiction to add value to my life every time I read a novel because I learn something. It can also be more constructive than non-fiction since the story and moral is easier to remember than the plain facts and text encountered in non-fiction.

[–]chakravanti93 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Again, barring foundation novels of cultural relevance, fiction will never be as edifying as nonfiction.

I personally love fiction novels and don't disagree that they can be edifying but that's not the point.

Just because chocolate can be good foe you doesn't mean that candy bar is worth eating. If you're bitters kind of guy who appreciates dark chocloate, then you are defending that which is not being denigrated.

[–]smokingmonkey420 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That analogy doesn't really follow. Chocolate is not healthy for you in large amounts, reading, regardless of the type, is.

[–]chakravanti93 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you eat a bar of dark chocolate per day, you won't suffer as much as you might think for it. It's not candy. Candy is sugar. Refined sugar is what is "bad for you," not chocolate. If you ate a bar of regular "milk chocolate" every day, you'de surely suffer from it.

If you read fiction nonstop for a year it will cause the same divorce from reality doing that with video games or movies or television would.

I won't argue that you'll not walk away from reading better than those two, though.

The increase in vocabulary alone is more edifying than anything you can manage to put together from movies/tv/video games.

Some things are less destructive in larger margins of excess. The closer something is to Truth itself, the more forgiveness it imparts. Spending a year in fiction will impart a very schitzophrenic divorce from reality that will take time and edification to overcome even if it imparts visions of real value.

Having literaly done these things myself, I speak not against it but merely attempt to impart an understanding of the activity without judgement.

*Tl;dr - It is what is, nonfiction will always be more edifying *than fiction as a whole even if you may make cases for reading one particular thing over the other with great disparity from the average. That isn't to say it is without edifying value but it is dependant on the other to be so and with smaller margin of value for effort invested.

That said. If you read no fiction at all, then I would give you that reading any fiction would be more edifying than any nonfiction you might read. Creative solutions require the ability to connect ideas related in unintuitive ways. Without the proclivity to randomly connect unrelated ideas, solutions become limited to rote and that measure is always increasingly inefficient.

Connecting "random" ideas needs catagorical subsets that are the product of abstract thinking. Fiction whets one's appetite for truth as well as one's competency at abstract thinking.

I agree, though the main point should be that the books are intellectual. You don't read those silly romance novels women read, you read books that actually teach you something.

The main idea is that you should not do activities that do not improve yourself and books take a long time to read.

Reading fiction isn't necessarily not edifying even if the content is worthless. It's like lifting weights. Technically you're spending all this energy and not being productive. That doesn't change that it is worth doing.

Furthermore, being fiction doesn't make a story's content worthless. There are hundreds of fiction novels worth reading.

Snow Crash - Fuck it, anything by Neal Stephenson is edifying fiction.

The Stone and The Flute by Hans Bemman - 15 years later.and this story continues to inspire epiphanies within me.

Brave New World, by Adulous Huxley - Does this need an explination?

Do androids dream of electric sheep? by Philip K. Dick - Like Huxley and Stephenson foundational understanding imparted here.

Ender's Game - Fucking OSC is a nutcase but the story is still wo

Arthur C. Clarke - Any titles at all. Guy is up there with Asimov.

Isaac Asimov - "

Most betas have a complex inner mind already, while they basically know shit about how to do real life things(wikipedia and fitness magasines are not enough). Now I have a friend which is basically what americans call a jock, I told him to become more interesting as a person so I recomended john green books. Now if a beta would read those he would have the red pill yanked and become mentally castrated for the next 4 months.

improve the parts of you that are less that the average first, if you where a body builder I would definetly recomend diping your toe in some palahniuk or some raymon chandler, but for the average blue pill guy, his it's not his ineer universe that needs improving, and until you get your exterior to a presentable level fiction is a distraction from real work

I agree with lifting, eating, reading. It is part that you can change instantly. you can put one more pushup daily, you can say to yourself "stop with this type of food" and not eat it, .. you have the idea. willpower.

Just thinking: if actually just getting raise at work was that easy, or just matter of saying "hey boss I need raise because I am doing awesome work, you know it and you can afford it" nobody would complain here. I see this as problem of bigger scale. In my previous job, I was replaceable. No matter how good work I was doing (and me and boss knew it), I coudlnt just walk to him and ask for raise, because then other people would ask for raise too.

what is better? having group of unhappy employees demanding raise or kicking them out and hire new group of people happy with the actual salary? thats why we got kicked out.

So, by saying to people "oh get a better job" your advice has zero impact or any value. Every one of us knows they want better xyz, they are struggling to achieve it, but geting better at xyz is not a matter of switch or on/off button. Everything done takes time, will, determination and sweat.

if you want to give advice, offer something that worked for you and is a long term process. example: - learn new language online. You can then put it in your CV that you know basics of ... german,french,portugal,.. - take this lifting routine, I have done it for three months and look at my progress - here are the results, etc..

There are plenty of jobs that always have openings. They always have openings because they're crappy jobs. They might give you a start, or let you get to know a lot more people. They might just give you insight into what's out there, so that when you do move on (your choice, or your boss's), it's to a better place.

I worked in tech support for a software company for a few years. It was good money at the time. When I left that, it was a huge bump in my salary. When I came back to the same company in a different role, it was another huge bump in my salary.

[–]esco_ 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This seems like a defeatist attitude. Surely there are ways you can make more money? E.g. in your old job, you could have constantly been on the lookout for new jobs that would pay more. Apply to as many as possible, etc.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Reading certain non fiction books you learn that your problems aren't unique or even that bad compared to what others have gone through.

In regards to the job thing maybe you can't ask for the raise but if you feel undervalued then what's stopping you from going after a better job. Nothing guarantees you'll get it but at least you're in control of the situation rather than the environment dictating what you get. I'm not saying get a better a job merely keep trying to get one. Don't give up.

Jesus Christ.. I don't understand how you lot can study trp theories and ideas, yet be absolutely useless in real life.

Have some fucking facts to back up your claim.. Look for median salary of your profession. If you are being under paid, then very well ask for more. I don't believe that bullshit about you being replaceable as a reason to not pay you what you are worth..

Companies don't want to keep rehiring especially when someone is capable of doing the job. You are getting paid for what you deserve. Period.

If it were easy to be successful it wouldn't take hard work and discipline. I've worked very, very hard to get to where I am. I make a very good living now because I fought for what I have through sweat and hard work.

Be excellent. Be the best at what you do. The money will follow.

Instead of looking for raises, perhaps it would be better to look for alternate sources of income, such as starting a small business or investing. I agree that it's harder for some than others to ask for a raise at their workplace, but there are other ways we can augment our flow of income-- that is something that I'd like to see more of here.

or ditch your current job like /u/asd1100 says.

[–]Ojisan1 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've never gotten a raise that was worth talking about. And yet, when I first started in my career, I was able to double my annual income in only a few years (I have no college) by upgrading my job. When you get hired, that's your time to negotiate. So, by interviewing for jobs while you have a good job, you increase your JMV (job market value) and can bump up your pay by 20% at a time, if you play your cards right.

Spend 1-2 years per job, be good at your job, and then start interviewing. Don't change jobs for less than a 20% pay increase (look at it this way - if the prospective employer wants you, and you already have a good job, they have to offer you some kind of incentive to move). Spend 2 years at that next job, and that salary is your new baseline for a 20% increase to the next job. Kind of like plates - you increase your SMV by having other plates, rather than being a loner. People who tell you to quit a job before you've found the next job are giving you bad advice. And don't threaten to quit to get a raise. Just find another job that pays more. If the first employer wants you back, they'll have to pony up way more to get you back than to give you 5% to keep you. And nobody likes to be threatened.

As I've moved up, I have had to spend more time in each job, because it's different to change jobs when you make $50k/year than when you make $100k/year or more, but the same general philosophy applies.

tl;dr - you won't get a raise. Find a better job, and then do that again, and again, and again, every 2 years or as often as you think makes sense in your industry.

When it comes to fitness, people on this sub are too obssesed with lifting. Yes i said it, too obssesed with lifting. This is coming from a guy who's lifting since high school, is in the 1000 club and lifts 3 a week. Lifting is good, but there's more to physical fitness than that. I find it's more rewarding to do things that are dynamic, dangerous, require teamwork and creativity and provide a wide aray of challenges. Lifting is challenging but the lifter is in total control, that's probably part of the reason we like it. You need to do things that are more unpredictable like MMA, Boxing, team sports, outdoorsman stuff like hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking ect.

As for earning more. I used to be concerned with earning more, part of it I think was compensation. Like earning more was going to increase my value as a member of society, maybe this was caused by some social programming, trying to get people to think they need to earn more making them more productive when they really don't. I've cut a lot of the things i don't need out of my life and now only concern myself with making enough to support myself, now i'm more concerned with my freedom than with what i earn. Though i can totally understand why some people would want to earn as much as possible.

Reading nonfiction is good too but don't get to obssesed with it. To gain real wisdom you need to apply and observe what you read in real life.

I think all the posts here are helpful. Nothing drives the true nature of the female home than a brute force attack on the illusions. It is important for those who have not taken the "red pill" to be exposed to how universal their behaviour is.

"The attention were giving it is just feeding into their agenda" I disagree, the attention we give to it is crippling their agenda. The PHLEGMinists are going insane. They are over-reaching. This type of behaviour always precedes blowback and revolt. This blowback cannot be achieved by ignoring them. Cockroaches scatter when exposed to light.

"Lift weights. Improve your diet. Read nonfiction. Make more money." These are trivial things. There is more to life than staring at a mirror or bank statement. Just live.

"be the bigger man" Yes, acceptance of phlegminist behaviour is key. We should strive, however, to be the bigger HUMAN first and foremost.

"And if they are getting to you, do a little self interrogation," Stop right there. This is a characteristic feminist talking point. What you are saying is we have no right to be angered (a legitimate emotion) and that if we are troubled by such unfairness it is our fault. Everyone is troubled by unfairness. Building muscle, increasing income, reading books will not change this natural reaction to disillusionment. It will pass.

"So quit bitching" Feminist shame tactic of "Man up!". Having a penis doesn't rob a man of the right to complain. Irony: You are complaining about complainers.

as long as you keep crying victim, not hold anyone accountable for their actions, and stay insecure you won't progress

that is why most alphas are conservative

when you hold people accountable for their actions, all the victim cries of the poor/gays/blacks/females become absurd

To be fair, I'm sure the people who say that are conservative. I am conservative myself, I'm not trying to argue. It's just in general, the person saying something is almost as important as the message itself.

Alot of liberals are dogmatic condescending shit heads too. I think politics in general leads to "alpha" behavior. "Conservatives" dont have a monopoly on alpha behavior, and honestly I can think of alot of fake alpha conservatives like Mark Levin or possibly Mitt Romney depending on how close you followed his campaign for example.

And honestly, that's all any of us want

And then as far as personality goes, you are you, there's no helping that. This goes back to pushing towards being the best you possible(I hate that i sound like some self help guide right now, but it's what in thinking).

[–]jabbatzui 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is simply due to the amount of new members in this sub. Almost have of the people here have only been around for a very short time. Of course they are still in the phase of anger and rant. The sub as whole is growing but just has not yet grown out of that. As long as the experienced guys around don't disappear, that's ok.

SELF IMPROVEMENT!

That is not the goal of the sub at all, please read the side bar

I see is a place for betaboys to complain about how some woman is or is trying to ruin their lives.

This is the type of attitude that makes it so hard for mens right movement to succeed. It is also why feminist succeeds, If someone is doing something wrong we should complain

I'd like to argue here that reading fiction isn't all that bad. In fact, I myself have problems just jumping into a nonfiction book--even one that I'm deeply interested in. Reading a good fiction piece gets me in the zone to start reading other material, like a springboard to jump-start whatever partition of my brain is responsible for text comprehension. Otherwise I just zone out and my mind gets really foggy, eventually leading to me falling asleep.

All that aside, we could use more non-fiction in our reading diets.

The true red pill is when you stop needing to come here. There is truth and good advice in this subreddit but at the end of the day it's just another goofy little echo chamber.

This subreddit will always be a place for beginners. Once you've internalized what you need to, you're better off not letting it take up your time.

[–]zephyrprime 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, I don't think the goal was ever self improvement but revelation of the truth about women. The problem with self improvement is that it only solves individual problems while not solving the whole problem. Also, why is the burden entirely on men to improve? Why don't women have to do shit? It's just not fair that entire burden falls on men. Just improving yourself without fighting back is accepting your place as a punching bag. I don't think redpill is primarily about improving yourself. PUA focuses a lot more on the actually practical steps needed to improve your game and the inner game work. RedPill is more about knowledge and MRA is more about the men's rights social movement.

And also, I think people overestimate how far self improvement will take you. I was already super smart, read of ton of nonfiction since childhood, making $$$, and slim (but admitted buff) even before I ever heard of red pill and I was still an AFC chump that was no where close to being able to handle women. I've started to lift now but it's pure fantasy to think that just because I put on 20lbs of muscle women are going to start chasing me and not giving me bs whereas before I wasn't even on their radar. Women will always give you BS no matter how rich or how fit you are. Look at the BS celebrity guys still get from women.

The one thing I will agree on is that there is too much butthurt and whining here. A lot of times, guys post junk that is blown out of proportion and not a true example of female privilege.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All I see is a place for betaboys

In my experience any time I see a post by a brand new account calling people betas and telling everyone here to stop bashing feminists... it's a bluepill shill.

I feel like we need to leave to whole alpha/beta thing at the door.

Self-improvement is great but quit trying to infiltrate and redecorate. Lookin like a broad over there.

Golden.

Given that many posts here are lessons learned from bad experiences with women, we will forget that it's truly about ourselves.

Also, I can't stress enough how important it is to fortify our mentality. If others can't shake you, you know you've reached a good level of self-development.

I agree about lifting weights, improving your diet and making more money, but what's so important about reading nonfiction? Yes, knowledge is important, but chick don't want to date a guy who is book smart, they want to date a guy that is manly. Pragmatically speaking, wouldn't you be better off devotion that reading time towards learning a social hobby like dance, playing the guitar, etc...?

[–]pennyscan 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Non fiction increases knowledge and wisdom. It could be argued these are more important than chicks.

Reading nonfiction can help you learn to do any of those things.

[–]tedted8888 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

because I'm to lazy to decipher a cryptic moral lesson from a book. Fiction may be a great way to convince the masses, but if your actually looking for answers, its a huge waste of time. Self development books don't tell allegorical storys about some nonsence, the cut right to the chase, for example tim ferris 4 hour work week. Or most any program by brian tracy. Your quality of life is going to be better understanding why and how to make money, friends, and lovers. It balances out your life so your not some sex crazed addict looking for your next high (hb10+).

Pragmatically speaking, wouldn't you be better off devotion that reading time towards learning a social hobby like dance, playing the guitar, etc...?

balance your time. spend 1-2 hours a day self improve. I usally listen to self development while I work out, so 2 birds with one stone. Socialize ~10 hrs on the weekends. Work during weekdays etc.

[–]asd1100 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

in the time you devote to reading a song of ice and fire you can basically read hundreds of non fiction books. The thing is non fiction is trasferable into real life actions that improve you as a person.

think about this you can either work or play

self improvement is work, hobbies like playing guitar or literature are play.

[–]Kardlonoc 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What women and humans want is value. Not necessarily money but it plays a big part, but generally what can you as a person provide to others.

It would be a bit long to get into but many Redpill strategies offer up a refreshing take on male to female dynamics, that some females dig. Other do not.

But really, how its described on this thread is red pill men acknowledging they have value, sometimes too much, and blue pill men undervaluing their value, or are spot on. A white knight syndrome is the idea is providing a woman with protection when the reality is she doesn't need any, the cops exist for that. Nice Guys, actually want to suck the value out of women rather than provide value.

Anyways, if you were in the desert, and it was you and the most feminist woman on the planet, and she was dying from thirst and you had a bottle of water. She would say "thank you" for handing that water over, but obviously you could get more from this bottle of water, and you don't have to hand over the entire bottle.

Women, sort of collude with each other culturally to make it believe that they have value and men fall into that trap. Like there are less men in the world. Once you realize that they don't have any higher value than a man, the world opens up.

[–]Geocan001 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]diz_guy[S] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Quit chasing, start experiencing the things you want to do. If you want to sky dive, get the $200 together and go do it. If you want to go climb the highest mountain in your state or country, get off this computer right now, pack your shit up, and hit the trails. Life is to short to laze around, embrace as many experiences as you can.

There's plenty of anecdotes that add to the repertoire of a well-prepared alpha.

Different shit tests, different field reports, different traps. Sometimes I read something once or twice, and it doesn't ring true, but then I read the same concept in a different situation and then it clicks.

I feel like everyday I'm on here(lurker) it becomes more redundant. The same feminist woman problems over and over again from different perspectives.

None of us are really so different. TRP is here because these problems are so similar yet the people have them consistantly believe their problem is unique.

New people, same message. This place isn't redundant, it simply regards a truth of life and humanity older than anyone present so it will never change, only the member that make up.the body will.

Thank you for this post. I too feel like there are two kinds of posters here. I very much prefer to use this forum as place where I can learn & improve myself. This is the good side of TRP and I highly doubt anyone would disagree the betterment of oneself is a negative thing for yourself and your relationship with women.

The other side of TRP is bitching & moaning about women. This is just tiresome and endless but even moreso is no way to handle problems like real men we aspire to be. I understand the "I got dumped by gf posts", I can't sympathise with comments saying all women are sociopaths & sluts.

I was sort of thinking this same thing except my analogy was more along the lines of redefining the game and who the players are. The long and short of it is that as a man you don't have sex with sluts (women on the carousel) instead raise your standards. I tend to find women without any true self worth extremely unattractive.

Above reading, I would prioritize dressing better, grooming yourself better (major factors when it comes to looks, and looks are king), practicing interacting with women, meditation (optimizes your thoughts, behavior, composure, and thus your interactions with women), and at least a few other things.
