Surprisingly it was /r/minimalism that actually got me to TRP.

I was on a minimalist kick after college and what it really does it make you examine your life. Your ENTIRE life. The things in it, the places, the people specifically. You become almost obsessed with eliminating all of the clutter and extraneous things from your life, for me it was extremely healthy because I've always been about the extras.

Extra money. Extra shots. Extra collections. I had been led to believe life is a sum of all parts. It isn't. I made a decision that's impossible to move back from. An enlightenment. Much like taking the pill.

I sought to minimalise* the people in my life. It made me examine just why I continued to keep useless people that only brought me down. Drug dealers. Gang members. Leeching "friends". People that did nothing but smoke weed and play video games all day. I cut every empty or detrimental friendship. It made me really examine my relationships.

I took a long hard look at my relationships with the women in my life. Why I put so much of my limited value and time into them but seemingly got nothing in return. Why all the girls in my life only took and never gave. Why am I wasting my life on these women?

Then some feminist was ranting about how horrible /r/TheRedPill was and click click click away!

I have to agree that personally psychedelics have played a huge influence on my outlook on life. That being said, they are certainly not for everyone. If you do them you need to be totally prepared and know what the hell you are doing when taking them.

There are few things more rewarding than going to a state park or lake in the woods with a few close buddies and tripping and returning to nature. Like the guy before me said, having that vale pulled from over your eyes is like taking TRP (without the anger stage). It helps you see the universe as a connected entity. The human ego has a tricky little way of making you feel as though you are a separate being not related to the universe at all.

Point being that for me this helped me reach a level of inner peace, self-confidence, and empathy for others that would have been unachievable otherwise. I will say, however, that meditation also played a giant role in all this as well (the two are very similar).

If you're interested in the nature of the human consciousness and self-discovery then they are a great tool. If you're just looking to see cool shit and think you're in a cartoon I think you have the wrong idea about what these drugs do.

Difficult question.

Read the sidebar, if you haven't already. A lot of the recommended reading can be quite dense, so it is difficult to get a quick idea of what it consists by just skimming the text, as many of us are used to doing on the internet, but they are quite interesting.

It's basically a modern-day reactionary movement. A cry for the return of human society to a more traditionalist model.

It is against feminism, progressive identity politics, all forms of cultural and political marxism. It is the rejection of decades of social programming and brainwashing that was put in place by a group of influential individuals, although without implying a conspiracy(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_action_%28sociology%29)

TheRedPill doesn't explicitly say "brainwashing", but we can all agree that "the blue pill" is just another name for that: brainwashing. We've been collectively brainwashed by feminists who've managed to wheedle themselves a place into higher education, the media, the entertainment industry, family courts, etc. and the whole system has been set up to benefit them.

Do you really think it is so implausible that there is another "blue pill" you may not even be aware of? One in which much higher stakes are at play? Stakes such as... political power? military force? financial control?

It doesn't have to be brainwashing, it could also be biology.

The point is the species is a species, not individuals. Just like you have ant colonies or w/e, it is not in the best interest of the individual ant to act for the collective. So if you are an ant, and you start acting towards your own interest rather than the colony you are rewarded for it.

A better example would be sheep. Its good to have a shepherd look after you, but its not good to be killed for meat. Listening to the shepherd will get you killed for meat, so if you can be your own shepherd and do your own thing, break from the herd, see things as the are, its is beneficial to you. So you become your own shepherd rather than other sheep pretending to be shepherds and getting you killed for their gain.

The way they get you killed is through logical errors, emotion, and fear/reward. This prob doesn't help at all but it might sorry..

/r/wicked_edge - Drop the shitty electrical razors, drop the shitty gillette razors. Save money (in the long run) and get better, less irritation shaves. You don't have to use straight razor if you want to (I do not)
/r/trackers - Put months of effort in, and be rewarded with endless resources. Seduction materials (the ones I get now are RedPill oriented). I can download ANY movie / music / book / resource. Has helped me get expensive resources for my job, has helped me get workout programs or yoga programs... porn... most any application I want for any operating system... operating systems... you NAME IT. It takes a LOT of time to build and foster the connections needed to get into exclusive or "private trackers", which are basically private torrent communities with content you can't find anywhere else. The anonymity of private trackers, along with a fairly cheap seedbox (which more than pays for itself) ensures immunity in getting these resources.
/r/nofap (Edit: or /r/pornfree, have to look into it). I have problems adhering to it, but I think it's important people try to do it periodically (if not, do it completely). The reason is... addiction is defined as not being able to do without it. I feel like most people couldn't stay away from porn 2 weeks if they tried, hence they are addicted to it.

Here's the thing. You ever not jerked off to porn or not fucked for a while, and felt your testosterone (or SOMETHING) increasing in your system?

The thing with me is... the porn I watch is very, very similar to the type of sex I have. When I was a virgin (before /r/seduction and /r/TheRedPill ), I used to always think that porn would be much more wilder than sex. My luck is that the first women I had sex with... we went on to have the type of kinky sex that I wish she would let me record so I can watch that instead of porn.

So this whole "porn numbs you, it's not real" thing, I don't feel like I identify with that. The women I generally watch are just regular women. The benefits of /r/nofap for me have been to save that crazy feeling I get to need to cum and to save it to use on actual women. And I don't get how jacking off, but without porn achieves that. At the end of the day, I'm going to cum, but have no incentive to go out and have actual sex (not that I don't like actual sex, it's just the whole "scared" thing).

My explanation for pornfree being better is long winded and not nearly as founded or scientific as ybop.com, but here it is.

I tried nofap for 2 years. I could never do it. Porn was always a habit for me and I never quit. Viewing it all the time led to artificial blueballs that made me feel weird. I was constantly horny and wanted to fuck everything, but it was overwhelming. My efficiency went to shit and all I could do was struggle to either get laid or desperately avoid masturbating. It fucking sucked.

I started pornfree about 2 months ago. During the first week I felt amazing. Huge improvements. I made a post on it. But I relapsed and looked at porn. Well since that first failure I have been clean from porn. My fap habit is down by 90%. It practically vanished overnight without trying. I'm having more sex now and the sex is fun and creative. Before I was basically using women as a masturbation tool. This way both of us enjoy it more. I still fap here and there but it isn't the same. Now instead of feeling guilty for jacking off, its just a release and I go on with my day. Any said fapping is totally random now too, its not habitual. Porn was the problem.

The way I operate... if I'm looking at porn for more than 30 seconds and I like it, my hand is going down there. I know for a fact that what you're saying is true... it's really, really hard to get off without porn. I've actually only did it once in the past year, and I was really horny. So I agree with you.

For me, /r/nofap has soft of of been like this subreddit. You have a general theme, but most people change it a bit to suit them. If you go to /r/nofap, you'll actually see a lot of posts about installing k9 and porn filters and stuff like that. When I started on nofap (I don't do it anymore), one of the first things I did was install k9 (basically a proxy that filters out nsfw urls on your computer). We agree, we just have different viewpoints. You think masturbating should be allowed because porn is the main focus. My thing is that 99% of the time I want to masturbate it's because of porn, so /r/nofap for me is synonymous with /r/pornfree (that's just for me though).

But yeah your whole explanation is what I meant by the numbing thing. You say you're now more creative, you enjoy it more. That has happened to me in spots.

Staying pornfree is hard though... I just broke up with my amazing sex girlfriend (virgin before that). If I got regular sex, I would really have no reason to watch porn, so really working hard on the trp induction. If I had plates? WHAT?! easy.

It's easy to get into public trackers, but that's not where the high quality stuff is. You want to get into the private trackers. Usually to get into these trackers is a trust system and a lot of work on your part to meet bare minimum requirements to ascend to the next level.

For instance, the best way to start is on the music tracker, what.cd. If you google, they have an interview process. You have to learn a lot about music compression... then you wait in a chat IRC for a long time and you interview. This is a very hard interview to see if you learned your stuff. If you pass the interview (you ONLY get three tries so make sure to study), you gain access into the tracker, and you have access to pretty much any music you'd want, as long as you have a good "ratio". That's where the effort comes in, to maintain that ratio as you download stuff by "seeding it".

By seeding enough stuff, and after a set amount of time, you become a "power user". From there, you can access the forums and branch off into different "trackers". A book tracker, a video game tracker, a movie tracker, what have you. The process is similar... you find out ways to boost your ratio, which will take investigating and mostly on the forum for each one of these "trackers", there are ways to go about it.

There's a lot involved, but the concept is really; access to almost everything I can want. I've only really had to buy 1 digital file... the rest I find through these resource channels.

So basically, figure out if you want access to the the types of things I've talked about. The "effort" comes in learning how to maintain ratio and build ratio, how to "seed", and a lot of other topics.

Effort to get into the tracker, effort to build your standing in the tracker, effort to maintain your standing in the tracker. Rinse and repeat for every "tracker" you want to become apart of. Once you've actually "made it" like I have (I'm on almost all the trackers I want to be on), you sit back and just enjoy the fruits of the labor. Any movie, game, book, PUA, instructional, development, program, anime, music, porn, and there are trackers out there I'm not even interested in (Sports [MMA / NBA], Retro, other weird ones).

To learn about this stuff, google, lurk in /r/torrents and /r/trackers, and check around a lot. I started from NOTHING. I pay like $20 for a seedbox a month but it's like... I can have ANYTHING I WANT (well 99%).

I explained that initially. There are 2 points of "buffer" here that make you safe.

People on private trackers don't get summons or "notices" or anything like that. That not only rings true historically, but if you look at the AMA recently from the guy who pursues people who torrent, they don't even bother going after private trackers. Way too hard.
Seedbox. Instead of downloading directly to your computer, you download to a seedbox. Most people's seedbox is located in Europe. US laws don't apply there. So essentially it's a buffer... I download to the seedbox, THEN to my computer. People have been doing this for years. Being only on private trackers by itself is fairly safe by itself. Combined with the seedbox... they really can't trace it back to me.

Do a little bit of lurking, check to make sure it's safe. I was incredibly paranoid when I started. I've been doing this for almost 2 years now. I've downloaded terabytes of EVERYTHING... completely safe. Do searching in those subreddits (or on google in general)... you'll come to the same conclusion.

They are like crossfit and paleo. Sure you might see a bit of initial benefits, but they are too ideological and almost like cults. There are many ways to skin a cat and other methods that are the complete opposite of them often work just as well. No sports nutritionists recommend keto for optimal performance. Plenty of bodybuilders have gotten to stage ready conditions without ever going into ketosis.

If you're lifting hard, you will have less glycogen storage in your muscles and won't be able to train with as much volume on keto, so any muscle sparing properties are offset by the fact that you aren't lifting as much, and people forget that carbs become glycogen in your muscles, and they are just as muscle sparing when you aren't sedentary.

I'd only recommend keto for obese sedentary people, and people who just want to temporarily cut water weight for a few weeks. It's a niche tool, not a sustainable lifestyle for active people. Humans are very resilient, so you won't die from being on keto perpetually, but it's worse than having more balanced macros when you're active. Often, people get too much into keto due to confirmation bias. They may start to feel better for the first few weeks and see a sudden drop of weight mostly from water. But they make the mistake of confusing a temporary solution with a lifestyle.

Most carbs people eat are shit and have tons of calories, zero nutrition, and cause inflammation. Carbs aren't bad, but drinking a beer vs eating Ezekiel bread (whole protein) is very different. Guess how many people drink beer regularly vs how many people even know what Ezekiel bread is?

Id summarize it as this. 90% of the stuff in the stores is shit for 99% of the people in 1st world countries. Applying Paleo or Keto or w/e diet cuts out the vast majority of trash for those 99% of people, therefore its good for them (even if its bullshit). Same for vegetarians.

I'm all for the general idea of eating whole, natural foods, but some people go to extremes making milk and gluten out to be the biggest problems in the world. They can be bad for some people in excess, but a lot of the people in the paleo crowd really exaggerate the harms.

Also, humans are very adaptive. You can survive on just about any diet, but that doesn't mean that it's optimal. Paleo is largely reliant on climate and ignorant of modern progress. Some paleo extremists are completely against anything nonlocal or grown in a greenhouse. They ignore a lot of the findings in modern nutritional science... and you say

Thanks! I'll check out /r/Anarcho_Capitalism . That put aside, although my political inclination is mostly libertarian, I am not a pure classical libertarian any more, and thinks that: 1. Some government "control" and guidance of the economy or politics may be a good idea. 2. "There is more than one way to do it", and the socio-economical and politucal approaches taken by different countries all work in slightly different ways.

As a result, I support making income tax flat (And hopefully lower), and legalising drugs and prostitution and gambling, and making military service voluntary, and avoiding constitutional discrimination (I'm an Israeli) and having free/open immigration, but don't support abolishing the military or the government completely, or cancelling income tax completely, or completely preventing the government from intervening in the economy when necessary, etc. etc.

Regarding /r/bitcoin - I think BitCoin and other forms cryptocurrency is missing the point, and that it is that a more or less centralised control of the currencies is not the main problem in the world, and that's because the main shortage in the world is not money, but the time of competent people. And like I noted elsewhere, people who are wage slaves and don't have enough clean, creative "fun", and who don't eat or drink properly and comfortably, and/or don't have time for the company of their friends and associates (of any sex) - are not only likely miserable, but being incredibly unproductive and wasting their time.
