This article hit right at home man. I decided just last year that marriage and the typical 'status-quo' relationship schemes, are not and never will be a part of my life; for these exact reasons. WHO, in their right mind, is going to sign up for getting bitched at, blamed, and utterly used by this majority of "women" who just HAVE to have this sense of authority. Why put yourself through all of that, when you could live your life to the fullest living for yourself and no one else.

I know there's still good ladies out there. One's who know how fucking stupid this feminist wannabe crusade is...But jesus brother, I don't think the chances of finding a girl like that, nevertheless a girl like that who fits me personally are likely. I've just given up completely with it all, dating as a whole. I have completely accepted that I am okay on my own, free to see who I want, when I want, and to do whatever I want with them. In a way, it's a shame it has to come to that, because I've always imagined myself as someone who could be an outstanding partner and I still can be. But you know what, I don't even fucking want to anymore because of all the girls I've dated and all the bullshit that goes on even with just talking to them. I know I'm not the only one who feels the same, and I thought this article was interesting to read.

[–]ManOfGrapes 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is a great response. It's a real shame that it's come to this for a lot of men.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

One's who know how fucking stupid this feminist wannabe crusade is...But jesus brother, I don't think the chances of finding a girl like that, nevertheless a girl like that who fits me personally are likely.

The real problem is even if you find a girl you think shares your values, you have no way of knowing if it's all an act. Beyond that, she can certainly change her mind after marriage.

[–]dreauxx4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Precisely. There are no promises, despite those vows. At any given second of any day, she could just snap on you. And quite frankly, I'm not okay with living my life walking on pins and needles waiting for my heart to be imploded because I was gullible enough to believe I could trust it to someone.

I sound far more jaded than I really am. Of course I will still share romantic and intimate moments with women, but the way I see it going is that it'll be more "freelance" if you will. Sounds like an excuse to be a whore, but at the end of the day; I just want a woman I can talk to, pal around with, and have sex. As long as her and I are maintaining that relationship, I wont have ANY need to find another woman.

But you stick that marriage label on it, and start up the notions of "forever" and shit gets turned upside down. What you think man?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There's nothing wrong with forever. The problem is it's an ideal, but marriage is a legal contract. You can't bank on the ideal, but she can certainly bank on the family court system.

What is this?

[–][deleted] 97 points98 points99 points 12 years ago (61 children) | Copy Link

A cross section of research data from the Pew Research Center for the last months of 2012 shows the alarming trends for marriage and child-bearing in the US. One report published in mid-December said that the latest census data showed “barely half” of all adults in the United States are currently married, a “record low”. Since 1960, the number of married adults has decreased from 72 percent to 51 today and the number of new marriages in the U.S. declined by five percent between 2009 and 2010.

Moreover, the median age at first marriage continues to rise with women getting married the first time at 26.5 years and men at 28.7. The declines in marriage are “most dramatic” among young adults. Just 20 percent of those aged 18 to 29 are married, compared with 59 percent in 1960.

Which is just evidence that current waves of feminism are corrupt ideologies that promote poverty and crime. Single parent households are THE number one predictor of crime and poverty.

[–]TRP VanguardJP_Whoregan 126 points127 points128 points 12 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

Single parent households are THE number one predictor of crime and poverty.

Exactly. And government knows this. But the problem is that the discussion is always in the framework that single parent homes are the men's fault, that it's the deadbeat dads who are running off and "skirting responsibility" and not "manning up" to be good fathers. They ignore the fact that, depending on the survey, 70-90% of divorces are initiated by women, with the number one reason given being "irreconcilable differences", i.e., "she's not haaaaaapy".

Women fought for Title IX, they got it. Now they get to live with the consequences. And those consequences are "marriageable" men saying "fuck you" to the whole institution, while they keep more disposable income, take up hobbies that make them happy, lift weights, and fuck the easy pussy that these "empowered" young women are so eager to give away.

Thanks feminism!

[–][deleted] 31 points32 points33 points 12 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

70-90%

Everytime I see this cited the number gets bigger and bigger but I never see anyone show numbers besides the 2/3 to 3/4 that I have seen in studies.

[–]TRP VanguardJP_Whoregan 38 points39 points40 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Also, female initiation is stratospheric among 2nd and 3rd marriages. Once they get the taste of divorce rape once, they are far more apt to do it again. Never, ever, ever wife up a divorcee. Because you already know how she feels about commitment when she gets unhaaaaaapy.

[–]NailedHim 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Did you just completely ignore the reply in order to spout off some more unsourced statistics? I can't possibly imagine how your speculation and sarcasm could more constructive than sources would be.

Edit: Here. Someone posted an actual response.

http://www.unc.edu/courses/2006fall/econ/586/001/Readings/Brinig.pdf

[–]tmpjb 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

It is about 66-70% we can agree on that. Among college educated couples, however, 90% of the divorces are initiated by the woman. A lot of people here fall in that category so with half of marriages ending in divorces, that's a 45% chance of getting fucked.

[–]enticingasthatmaybe 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The women initiating divorce stat doesn't take into account at least one situation.

My wife walked out on our marriage because, unhaaappppy. However, I hired a lawyer first and initiated the legal divorce. So even though she ended the marriage, I actually initiated the divorce. I'm sure I'm mine is not a unique situation. I would imagine that number would increase noticeably if this type of situation could somehow be tracked.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't want to track that stat. How often is the divorce due to female infidelity, on a whim of hers, or as a money grab, that's a stat they don't want you to know, and it would result in a huge backlash if it were even considered. It would shine a bright light on female nature, and nobody but those of us here wants that. Women have to remain strong independent helpless victims, and showing just how many of them abuse the system, take advantage of the laws, lie, cheat, and steal, would make women look bad. We can't shame them, for any reason.

[–]the_meme-master 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No, we can't just "agree on that". I'd like somebody to stop the circle jerk and show me a source. If not, we're just as bad as feminists in making up "facts".

[–]tmpjb 18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he said he already saw the 2/3 stat so yeah daswood and me agree... as for source http://www.unc.edu/courses/2006fall/econ/586/001/Readings/Brinig.pdf

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you are on the internet just google it yourself.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A fact is still a fact even when you don't cite a source. It's just not proven to you.

The sidebar has most of the material, sources included, if you want verification.

Don't take my word for it though.

[–]PornTrollio 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why look it up yourself? It would be quicker than waiting on someone else andd if you found a source that proves him wrong you can get all tingly inside!

[–]1PaulRivers10 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Among college educated couples, however, 90% of the divorces are initiated by the woman.

(rolls eyes) This misses the point if that statistic is even true. How often does the woman initiate the divorce when there are no children?

My mother initiated the divorce after my dad (with my suggesting he do it) moved out. Why? Because you have to be divorced in order to get child support. There was no incentive for him to hurry things along in legally getting a divorce, but there was a huge incentive for her to do so.

[–]rztzz 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly, it is in the woman's best interest to get divorced.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even without kids they can get what they want. My second and I had no kids, and she knew if she asked for half my income, or any of my assets from before her and I, all she would get is a large fire and brain matter to clean up. She could have asked and gotten anything she wanted. She knew about my scorched earth policy after seeing what my first wife did to me.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There was no incentive for him to hurry things along in legally getting a divorce, but there was a huge incentive for her to do so.

Rather than missing the point, isn't that exactly the point?

[–]1PaulRivers10 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rather than missing the point, isn't that exactly the point?

It becomes wordplay at that point. That my mother filed the papers first has nothing to do with who actually made the divorce happen (my father, thank god) when he moved out.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

3/4 is 75% and its averaged over all age groups, also there is no data on why divorce was filed. For me its 100% her choice, and now I will never do that again.

Arguing over a small percentage, when its an overwhelimg majority of women that file, is lame semantics. Why the hell would a man file when even if he had a side thing, the laws eviscerate him in divorce? Is your new bitch worth that? On the other hand, she can do what she wants, because she has the law on her side and can get anything she wants. Why wouldn't she find some extra dick, and divorce the man whom is supporting her? She gets to keep his money and have new dick. Then she can divorce rape the second guy and get his money too. My first ex has two more years before she gets half her current husbands retirement/disability.

Let's just ignore that 75% and call it into question because its different than 3/4 in text. .75 is still a vast majority, and arguing about the numbers only serves to distract from the real issue.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea it bugs me when people make exaggerations on things they don't even need to exaggerate on to make their point. It discredits the entire post.

[–]lemonparty 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

His range 70%-90%

Your range 66%-75%

Let's say you're both right at 70%. That's 7 out of 10 divorces being initiated by women.

Wow, that's absolutely amazing logic there buddy. Except... you conveniently forgot to apply the same correction for women.

[–]snobocracy 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

NailedHim is right. The more we spout off bad maths, the less legitimate our position becomes.
If we count the number of men who divorced due to spousal abuse as the woman's fault, then we have to correct for the opposite case as well.

Anybody who downvotes others for pointing out faulty mathematics is guilty of "reasoning by feels" and is little better than the feminists.

Those damn deadbeat fathers!

Don't they know that as soon as you impregnate a woman (no matter what lies she told you about birth control) you have agreed to be her indentured servant for the rest of your life?!

Never mind the reality that men have ZERO custody rights when they have a child out of wedlock and are then required to spend thousands of dollars on court and attorney fees for a custody trial, submit to drug and psychological testing, pay for supervised visitation service, etc if they want to be in the child's life.

C'mon men! Don't you want to throw away fistfulls of dollars to fight for custody in a system biased against you on top of the child support you're already paying?

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Hmm.. I wonder why I never heard the term deadbeat mom genuinly used... I thought men and women were equal?

But single moms on wellfare are independent, empowered, and down on their luck! Its never the least bit their fault for choosing a terrible dad, or having kids for their own desires regardless of the future well being of the kids. They are always victims. Im sure some of them are, but definetly not all of them.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Nope. Its why I got a vasectomy. After the first wife took my kids one day and moved 1500 miles away, then the state garnished 70% of my gross pay leaving me 4% to live on I knew not to have any more kids. Living on $100-$300 a month isn't easy, and in the military being unable to live on base it means living in a car or on friends couches. Homeless while serving my country, and being actively prevented from talking to my kids, and passively prevented from seeing them because I couldn't afford to travel to see them was enough to make me get out of the gene pool.

[–]marzoopial 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Stay strong, brother. It's an evil system. The addiction and suicide rates for men in situations like ours is sky high. Fuck that. The best revenge will always be living well.

She left me mostly intact, so I bought land and now I'm waiting for financing to build on it. I'm about ready to give up on the bank, sell a GTO I restored, and do it all myself. Its been two months of them dragging their feet, and I have been approved for three times what I am asking for. Due to weather here, if I haven't started building by August 1, I have to wait until next spring. I won't be able to get it all done before the snow hits and the ground freezes.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Never mind the reality that men have ZERO custody rights when they have a child out of wedlock

That must be a state-by-state thing. Where I live your marital status doesn't affect custody rights.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its damn nice not having someone bitch that I spend too much on my cars and not enough on the house/kids meaning 'her.' Its easy to get laid, so easy its almost boring, and most women are boring unless they are naked with my dick inside them. Muscle cars are so much more fun, and far cheaper than divorce. What I could build with that $1000 a month for the last seventeen years would be an amazing vehicle.

In may of next year, I am done paying her. Never again.

Amazes me when I chide women I know for having kids with no father around. They always claim how much they love their kids and that is enough.

No bitch. The girl wants to be daddy's little princess. The boy wants to play catch with his dad. Stop being selfish and having kids just to satisfy your biological clock. You're creating a child with a handicap in life by not having a father.

I hate how my atheistic beliefs conflicts with my agreeing to your comment. I understand the importance of marriage in child rearing as well as the church's efforts in maintaining that institution, but I hate religion for everything else it's done. It's like, pretty much every other mammal raises their young with two parents, what the fuck makes you think a single mom is better than the rest of the animal kingdom?

[–]Modredpillschool 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Religion promotes the ultimate alpha to women and strongly encourages men to take leadership of their households, pushing for a stronger, more stable family unit which works efficiently under a societal structure. If religion provided a worse method of control than other methods, societies wouldn't be based on religion as those would have died off long ago... You don't have to believe in god to understand that religion is a pillar that hold societies together and keeps things running smoothly. It's a key component of culture and without a unified culture, you have disorder and chaos... Companies figured that out. Why do you think they push the word so much in every business large enough for the owner to have trouble knowing all the employees?

[–]Ganjgirlsandsteelies 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Anyone downvoting should read up one machiavelli's views on religion, y'all love him here supposedly.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

People who are downvoting don't see Islam propping up alphas. Dark triads perhaps, but not the kind that TRP wants to associate with.

[–]Modredpillschool 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You might not want to associate with them, but you can recognize if it works and learn from it nevertheless.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Of course. Ever since TRP I've focused more on religion's propensity to support the family unit.

From managing finances to finding a woman pre cock carousel to raise a family with, to maintaining frame as leader of the household, I'm all for it.

Marriage seems like a hard sell though. Is it possible in today's western environment to keep a girlfriend and raise a child with her while not spinning plates? You could still end up on the hook for child support.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have a kid married or not and you're on the hook for child support.

[–]Ganjgirlsandsteelies 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree that it tends to backfire when coupled with endogamy and extreme economic disparity. May be why of young Muslims I know here in DC area half are agnostic, but at least they come from good families and most are studying to be engineers or doctors. The only ones I've seen cad around are the sons of diplomat types with extreme entitlement complex.

It may just be that religion is losing it's hold on people in general, who knows.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Despite my anecdotal evidence I've seen the same thing.

Except for religion losing its hold. The mainstream religions are losing their grasp, but there are many different ideologies looking to fill that hole, Feminism included. The dogma of religious extremists lives on, sadly.

Think of it like a spiritual cock carousel. It never stops spinning.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is also a religion on top of being a political affiliation. I don't think it's propping up many alphas.

As for why it's a religion, it's gained the groupthink, the extremists who do the dirty work, the moderates who cover for the extremists while thinking themselves the "true" believers and the basic tenets and rules that give it mass appeal. Not to mention it being taboo to be critiqued in the public eye.

TRP has the tools to forego the pitfalls of religion while embracing the benefits. We don't need to worship age old texts or their god(s) to benefit from them. We just need to read.

[–]KarmaEnthusiast 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Uhh... no they don't. It's actually quite common that a single parent raises offspring. Bears, Tigers, Leopards and cheetahs are all examples. In pack behaviour both parents are around but it's primarily the mother that takes responsibility. As a red piller I do somewhat agree a mother should have more custody favouritism than the father. The onomatopoeic nature of the words 'ma' and 'da' (mother and father) both speak to the child's eagerness towards the genders of the parents. We at the red pill aren't arguing for total equality, we're talking about finding what aspects of culture make most sense. I personally think females are the better nurturers, emotional supporters and carers. As males we protect, provide and discipline better. Obviously having both present in a child's life is important and ideally divorce doesn't occur, but if it does I'd say the mother's role requires closer proximity to the child.

Edit: "Total equality" meaning an equal standing for both genders on EVERY issue imaginable. As opposed to our philosophy of having equality spanning the WHOLE.

[–]Ganjgirlsandsteelies 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm no developmental psychologist but I'd venture that fathers are more beneficial to sons' growth and vice versa.

[–]gprime312 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe women can be the more nurturing parent if she wants too. I've read too many stories of people with psycho mothers who only got custody because of their vagina.

You say that in the cases of Bears, Tigers, Leopards, Cheetahs, etc. the mother is responsible for raising the young, but what you're overlooking is that with non-human mammals, conscious thought is not a factor. Those animals don't experience or understand spite, hate, guilt, jealousy, etc. and they especially don't act on those sorts of feelings the way humans do.

In a perfect world I would agree with you; if women were hardwired to give their children 100% dedication and focused on raising the perfect child, then sure, let that mother nurture and take care of the kid.

Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world, we live in one where women end up getting knocked up, then divorcing, then chasing after new dick, they want to relive their youth by slutting it up, often by neglecting their child by letting a babysitter raise it, while they're out trying to find a new man who will accept the fact that she already has a child he'll need to take care of if he decides to engage in a relationship with her.

Often those women have a harder time finding a new mate which results in a lot of internal anger, which can get taken out on her child.

Furthermore I think the way our laws are set up are way too relaxed in terms of the financial freedom women have with the money provided from the male in the divorce. I personally know a couple women with multiple children; she's given quite a bit in child support, but does she spend most of that on her children? Hell no. She feeds them Mac & Cheese, buys them Walmart clothes/shoes, buys them minimal toys/video games/entertainment, meanwhile she saves up the excess cash so she can go on multiple exotic vacations every year with various men (I went with her to Amsterdam at one point, its how I know of her situation.)

Then, unrelated to divorce, you've got these women who commit their lives to becoming baby farms, where they have as many rugrats as possible and collect government welfare/family allowance. Again I know a woman with 5 kids, she actually lives a fairly posh lifestyle all off government money, meanwhile her children live like they were born in Africa.

One reason why the redpill body of though is so interesting to me, other than the fact that the ideas are exciting, is that the truth is corroborated by widely different sources. You would think that the observations of traditionally masculine men who have lots of sex would be at odds with those of the Christian pro-life movement, but they actually agree in principle, if not in application. As an aside, a wonderful place to look for a traditional minded girl from a large family who can't wait to be a wife and a mother is at the March for Life each January in Washington DC. The majority of marchers are under 25, with scads of pretty girls who know that feminism is an ugly joke.

[–]N3vertheless[S] 52 points53 points54 points 12 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Exactly, everyone is beginning to see the problem. Men are responding to the lack of incentives that marriage provide. Anyone who is thinking about society seriously is beginning to see the trend.

[–]B_Campbell 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not just that. It's also that women want to date up and a woman sees a guy as a loser if he isn't doing better than her so by gaining equality they have shrunk the pool of men that they consider acceptable.

The opposite end of the sexual spectrum from the traditional family is polygamy. When you start "liberating" people, you begin pushing culture towards the other side. We're in said decline and are adapting to the transition... If things rebound, we'll rebound with it.

Now, now, don't be too pessimistic. The inhabitants of the continent of Africa are still propagating like crazy, I hear. I suppose that segment of the human race will likely inherit the earth, because they know how to keep their women in line and because they haven't been as contaminated with feminist ideology yet. And if feminists become too strong and loud over there, the African men will probably get a mob together and circumcise their nasty old spinster clits. Yeah, I'd say the Africans will survive, because they'll take care of business by hook or crook unlike rule of law men in feminism-dominated first world countries. And the earth will continue orbiting the sun I suppose.

Yeah, they are liabilities.

If you've ever lived in California, you'd know a dozen friends who got married, then divorced and their ex wives are collecting alimony while living with their new boyfriend.

I learned my lesson when I bought a house in Texas. The guy I bought it from had bought the house, the boat, the corvette, the his & hers motorcycles and she (his second wife) cheated on him.

He was going bankrupt because of TWO alimony payments. I bought his 3000 square foot house from him for what he owed on it and rented his room back to him for 1/2 the mortgage.

Women are liabilities.

Don't marry. Rent to own. Lease with an option to buy. You'll have favorable upgrade options come her expiration date.

Plus, you retain your advantage.

And your house.

[–]2Overkillengine 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Also don't let them move in or move in with them if you are in a common law state.

[–]Endorsed ContributorInvalidity 27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Alpha males see that women are not worth committing to as the investment of resources is much greater from the side of the male. Only beta males and those left in between are left for marriage. Most of those males have become disillusioned by marriage through countless divorces, child support and alimony payments, and the unmet expectations that they held when they were growing up.

So there is your void. Most men are not ready to start a family because they can't hope to maintain the relationship to keep the family unit stable. They only know how to be good providers and caretakers, but not good leaders and lovers, a prerequisite to maintain their partner's attraction.

If you could keep both parents focused on raising the children, families would be easy to develop and maintain, but a man goes into a relationship investing all his efforts and resources to have a child. It is up to the wife to uphold her end of the responsibilities, but she is driven by her feelings and emotions, and will therefore likely make very callous decisions, such as cheating.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men aren't men anymore, either. Through prescription medications given to them as early as kindergarten, and pressure from schools, young boys are forced, and later taught to be docile and as androgynous as possible.

[–]∞ Mod | TRP Vanguardbsutansalt 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

And of course comments aren't allowed. A simple skimming of Men on Strike would explain why men are forgoing marriage and kids, but we can't let the cat out of the bag else it might piss women off that men have judged them unworthy.

[–]N3vertheless[S] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Women don't want to face the fact that all we ever wanted from them was consistent sex. They want to believe that they are special snowflakes and their "souls" are our end goal. So they blame the patriarchyy for disguising their androgynous souls.

[–][deleted] 37 points38 points39 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No, consistent sex is what we NEED from them, but we want a lot more from them too.

Sex isn't like one of the points on a test, it's being able to write your fucking name on the top of it.

But most women can't seem to pass, so we are tricked to be satisfied when we find someone who can even fulfill the minimum requirements.

We're going to see the divorce rate come down soon because men are learning the warning signs of a woman with a "give me half your shit" mentality; cock carouseling, nonstop lying, always being "right", being a single mother, being divorced, continuously espouses feminist ideology, demands supplication from men.

Three questions to consider when you're considering wifing a girl:

  • Is she nice to you/does she do nice things for you?
  • Is she a virgin?
  • Does she come from a two parent household or one that espouses traditional values?

3 yeses means you've got a good girl, 2 yeses means your taking a mild to significant risk, 1 yes means you will be very broke and in debt within ten years, 0 yeses means your an idiot for considering that succubus.

When the divorce rate comes down don't forget that what we're talking about is still important, marriage isn't going to be any easier because the divorce rate drops it just means you'll need to be more careful in picking your women because a bunch of dumb bitches are gonna hit the wall fucking hard and start lying about the things that matter to men in a wife so they can get their free ride or kids or white picket fence after they get those things it's gonna be time for you to leave. Right now I'd say it's case to case but hiring a P.I. to research your girl to see if she's cheating, doing illegal shit, has lied to you or is concealing her sexual past is not a bad idea especially if she's been to college, or is over 23 and still claims virginity.

Yea I agree, in this day and age I'm still confused how guys think a girl not being a virgin is one of the key prereqs... its just creepy stuff to me. Obviously if she's banged half your town that can kind of be a warning sign, but I'd take it as kind of strange if she was a virgin by age 26.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Virgins beyond 23 are very suspicious in women and it's worth hiring a P.I. if you like her enough to marry her.

As for the value of virginity, historically it's a reflection of social values and self control which are beyond important in marriage and child rearing, there are statistical proofs of these values and their correlation to divorce:

The easiest to understand; a visualization of the Teachman study: http://socialpathology.blogspot.com/2010/09/sexual-partner-divorce-risk.html

Here are five more studies, including Teachman's all collated and reviewed by focus on the family: http://www.focusonthefamily.com/about_us/focus-findings/marriage/premarital-sex-and-divorce.aspx you can google the bolded names of the studies to find more about them, just be wary of the modern secular morality's pro-sex bias. A few of these study's conclusions or forwards actually shit talk there own studies because they didn't want to go against the grain of certain attitudes in modern science.

[–]thetanky -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I would hate to marry a virgin. You're an idiot.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

What's bad about it?

You have a girl whose definition of her sexuality is inexorably bound to you in most cases.

Are you one of those pro-slut retards that wants a woman that "knows how to use her body" or is "comfortable with her body"? A woman that knows how to use her body before she is married is a woman that probably only knows to use her body; once she's married you she's got you wrapped up in paper like a veal cutlet and doesn't need to put out for you to get her way.

It's an inane fallacy to say that you can't teach a virgin to do a good job in bed either; all whores were once virgins it just takes time and motivation to learn; if you can't motivate someone who is new to their sexuality to be sexual then you've got some problems buddy.

Do you have some other excuse for wanting a slut?

[–]thetanky -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I think that in this society, if a girl is a virgin something weird is happening. She's either going to be some religious nut, or something crazy. I've never met a virgin that was socially intelligent. I don't care if a girl has had sexual experiences. Do you need to feel like a special little snowflake?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've met plenty that were "socially intelligent" not that that has much to do with anything and people really draw the line in different places for religious nut but if you want a good wife your top bets are to pick up a girl from asia or pick a religious group you like here and start sorting through to find a girl you like because as soon as a woman has had more than one partner her long term marital stability risk drops to near 50%.

I'd rather teach a virgin some obvious or boring shit than lose half my shit and be forced into what is essentially indentured servitude to pay for her and any children I have with her.

[–]thetanky 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Okay, I'm kinda understanding your point. My only concern is that these statistics are tied with they types of girls I don't really want. The virgins at marriage may be that type of religious girl who isn't interesting. And also, how do you even prove they aren't lying in that study just to keep up the image. I know of so many women who lie through there teeth to tell other guys they never slept with me.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There are six studies I know of with similar results, and I think lying is kept down by anonymity.

http://socialpathology.blogspot.com/2010/09/sexual-partner-divorce-risk.html heritage study data with Teachman study data aplied over it and summerized

Collated series of studies going back 20 years: http://www.focusonthefamily.com/about_us/focus-findings/marriage/premarital-sex-and-divorce.aspx

As for virgins being boring you probably have met a few and just assumed otherwise, many of them are reserved and I personally like that but there are plenty virgin girls in church with passionate interest in sports or any number of hobbies in their life or just passionate about family. Aside from that one of my friends managed to pick up a girl he went to a slut filled public high school with a few years after he passed her up for a latino chick. At 21 she was still a virgin and completely agnostic, she just hadn't been sexually activated until he came along. These girls exist you just have to look deep and know how to trick a girl into being honest with you about her number.

The best method for figuring out a girl's number is to get to date 2-3 and ask her in a really sex positive way: "So how many boyfriends have you had?" "How old were you when you lost your virginity" and just be really reassuring to her about it, if you get an answer you don't like soft next her. There are some cracks in that method for some girls to slip through. A girl might lie and say two when she hasn't even touched a wiener before because she wants to impress you and thinks experience would do that or the girl might blow up on you being offended in either case your dealing with a girl who is probably crazier than she's worth. If a girl texts you after this soft next and you think she might have lied to you about her experience tell her straight that you date for marriage and you'll only marry a virgin. If she get's super offended she isn't a virgin and if she recants her precious testimony and admits to lying about it tell her you have trouble trusting her and let her try to reel you back in. If you want to pick her back up then start snooping to figure out if she's lying about lying; stalk her Facebook and find old boyfriends and tell them she's lied to you about some stuff and want to know if she's really a virgin take their word with a grain of salt and try to weasel some truth out of her. It sounds like quite some work to find the truth but it's worth doing your research when we're talking about half your shit, any future children, possessions and housing.

I don't really care about them being a virgin... It's one of those things that is so rare, there almost has to be something wrong with the girl for her to not get laid by her mid twenties or even adulthood... The other two I agree are important though.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not comfortable with this being an easy truth that I can slip in during a conversation. (that whores are unsuitable wives and mothers and that 2 dicks make a woman unfit for those titles) Sure it sounds extreme and there are other ways of saying it but I would be laughed out of TRP If I phrased the most PC way which is to say that a child needs his mother and a husband needs his wife to do her duties by them and having prospects considering her lusts or hypergamy is the death of honor or responsibility or some shit like that, maybe I could say "adultery" and "premarital sex is bad" in the same paragraph, I'd probably trigger every ardent atheist's shit on him switch just by using common religious phrasing.

Being cruel about it is the only way of conveying the reality in communicable terms to men who have seen or known this any other sort of phrasing will put me in a nut bin for somebody that may have seen or been effected by the unleashed hypergamy of the western female.

Let's crystallize our shared values before trying to make them pretty for society at large, otherwise my cruel language will be ignored by many women but even the men that's say it's cruel will carry doubts until they know this truth first hand.

Furthermore women don't need to know the ins and outs of their nature consciously, they will excuse bad behavior with this knowledge, they only need live in a society where men demand virginity of them if they want marriage then almost all of our social problems are fixed:

  • Less divorces wasting resources on two houses and multiple sets of clothes and toys for the same kid. (No more self entitled brats of the highest order.)

  • Fewer women would work out of the house increasing the demand for labor thereby driving up it's value. (also cutting down on her chances of fucking around, save on car insurance too.)

  • Less time (and money) wasted on thoughts of acquiring sex for many people. (Keep your SMV high, demand it from your woman, you'll be fucking her past 50.)

  • A higher standard of education for our children, presuming the mothers do their part in child rearing and can monitor the child more closely preventing hooliganism and crime.

  • A greater demand for social respect because people's parents would be incentivised to raise them properly.

  • Sluts would float in a "spinster limbo;" being put in plate rotation or having to settle for losers or bizarre cohabitations for the sake of getting their free ride or having kids. Essentially we could see a return of the wife harem (Think Mormons but with less respect) or concubines as crazy as that sounds, if certain women refused to operate in social bounds they'd have no position for bargaining if they want kids and a free ride. Think of it as a high risk investment fund.

  • Reform on laws for men's marital rights, women that want to get married but can't convince their men to do it will push for it if at some point.

  • Pussy would be abundant for those guys uninterested in marriage and they'd be able set terms on the high risk females later down the line if they change their mind and can't get with girl that's a sure bet. (downside here for guys looking for solid marriages is that some high SMV women will hold men to the same standards)

  • Renewed, modernized social validation in the case of the male biological imperative, (validation of sex as a lesser need, still more than just a simple desire/want as is the current view [wont be viewed as selfish perv for expecting sex from partner])

All this and more can be yours if you and all your friends stop putting hoes in serious relationships just because y'all thirsty. It would take some time but we're already picking up traction on this shit.

It's simple: "you can't make a ho a housewife."

If you can come up with a nicer way to say it than that you've got my upvote; I'll write it down and frame it and put it next to my laptop so that I never forget it.

Shit this was longer than I intended.

Monogamy makes perfect sense to me. If you love someone and you enjoy each others company, keep doing it. Keep doing it until you die. But why marriage? What value does being recognized by the church and state have? I've never been able to get an answer that appeals to logic and not emotions. Is there a logical answer? It seems like insecurity is the driving force.

[–]colovick[🍰] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Back when it was shameful to get divorced, it helped pull people closer together to fight for each other and to avoid ostracization... The ritual nature of it convinces both parties that it isn't something they can give up on and leave behind... You won't find a logical argument for it because there isn't one... When the institution is strong, it made the feelings strong... Now the institution is meaningless and women see it as a way to get everything they want from it and keep all the advantages whether the man stays or goes.

[–]boydeer 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

when the institution was respected, it was a nonpersonal shared thing that each party could put before their own personal interest. this reverence for the institution makes it easier for two people who are fighting to come to some sort of reconciliation, because instead of putting the other person first which can be difficult in a fight, you simply act in accordance with your promise to respect the institution.

I really don't see the point of marriage if most couples live together as bf/gf and sex is more open these days. I lost my mom to drugs at a young age and was raised in the system, and had my share of stores. I am 30 now and successful, handsome, have no trouble getting girls. The whole double standard of women wanting a strong man, but then if you rise up, defend yourself and maybe even win, you are this horrible person for doing that to a girl.

[–]Gaslov 56 points57 points58 points 12 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

I'm going to disagree with this assessment. The article mentions women's "sexual revolution" and I think this is the crux of the issue. The bottom line is, on average, what men want from women is sex. To claim otherwise demonstrates a lack of character or a lack of experience. I can get almost any type of social satisfaction better from another guy than I can get from a woman. Like many women, I would much rather hang out with a bunch of guys than a bunch of girls if all I'm doing is hanging out. But there just isn't anything like a woman's body, face, voice, and touch.

But here's the thing: you're a well-off, well groomed, professional. You're something many women want. So why pick one? Why would you want marriage? What do you get out of it? Getting sex probably isn't hard for you and won't be well into your late 40's (vs mid 30's for women), so what value does marriage actually give you?

Because the most important thing you want from a woman is something you can obtain without much commitment, why would you commit?

The church figured this out long ago. The whole "no-sex-before-marriage" stance was actually there to protect women. It was like a union but for women's security. Yes, there is an element of control, but that's what labor laws do, too. But these naïve feminists have completely eroded away this protective price fixing in the name of "liberating" women from the evil control of old religious men. So, thank you feminists, men can now have their cake and eat it too. You can get what you want upfront, without having to payout in the long run.

It may sound callous, but people are assholes and it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that people will take advantage. Yes, people need to be controlled. Women need to be controlled to collectively not give it out as it undercuts the control women have to protect themselves. Am I advocating for women using sex as a bargaining chip? Yes. In this instance, what is bad for men in the short term is actually good for society in the long run. We should be a culture that's about the long run.

[–]DrakeSaint 78 points79 points80 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

According to your post history, two weeks ago you said you didn't knew what TRP was all about. And 14 days is just a short period of time to get cultured in what is what.

The article is right. Men are not solely into sex. Romantism is a male, not female construct. There are more men now only seeking sex because society is stimulating them to act like such. When you look around you and all the romantic, feminine and pleading betas become stomped to the ground and the sex-driven, ripped alphas get glorified, you want to become the best. We have all information on our behalf, we just need to search for it. And the most commited, trust me, will do it.

We're the ones who commited to adapt to the circunstances of society. Assholes or not, we do what we do because it -works-. Day by day we see multiple reports of people getting successful armed with the simplest amount of knowledge from this sub. Those who are degrees above have healthy, happy lives regardless of wealth with their plates/wives/alone. It doesn't matter.

The most ironic thing is the lack of commitment to get sex nowadays, however, was spot-on mentioned by you. Tinder, ONS online dates, Facebook, lack of social stigma for one-date sex adventures... it was all purposed to empower women, but when men take these tools and play it by their own game, they already won.

Society will always change, for best or worse; culture will shape itself to reflect the failure of feminism in male-female relationships, and men who stood their ground, like history proved time and time again, will be the winners.

Infidelity and easy access to sex has always been a female evolutionary trait. They want society constructed this way as much as men. It's not really a problem to achieving their goals and.

[–]kizzan 22 points23 points24 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Something to note is that the bible also says that neither the husband nor the wife (but in practical terms, mostly the wife) is not to deny their spouse sex anytime they ask for it except during times devoted to God and prayer. Neither spouse (but mostly the husband) as allowed to lust after other people.

I think there are benefits to both parties. If both parties are following the bible, women are protected before marriage, men are guarenteed as much sex as they want after marriage and women are guaranteed committment after marriage. But now back to reality.

noooo

the no sex without marriage/adultery is a sin thing came about in the days long before there was contraception and dna tests.

women always know who the mother is, its them, but without a dna test the man NEVER knows who the father is. control of women/sex was the only method by which men could increase the odds that they were the father of their child.

this is the guiding principle that has shaped much of human society.

sex before marriage was a sin, sex outside of marriage was a sin, you will go to hell, your children will also go to hell and so on.

contraception/dna tests are the inventions that will change the shape of society more than anything else, though most dont seem to realise their importance yet.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the no sex without marriage/adultery is a sin thing came about in the days long before there was contraception and dna tests.

That explains fidelity, but it doesn't explain sex being proscribed for single people.

There's more to it. Having sex with someone releases brain chemicals that stimulate bonding, so the idea is only ever having sex with one person helps create the strongest possible emotional bond.

I suspect this is why women with a high number of sex partners before they marry are more likely to get divorced. Whatever chemical circuitry that exists to create that emotional bond was burned out long before she met her husband.

[–]manwhy 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Contraception has already changed the shape of society. Most of the civilized world has sub-replacement fertility, which, in and of itself, is a disaster.

Paternity testing is something that may slowly begin to eradicate the ability for female sexual subterfuge, but its day has not yet come, and as you might imagine there's an army of women and a literal Army behind them to make sure for the foreseeable future that it doesn't become that paternity testing doesn't become a ritual of birth.

In the UK, paternity testing is somewhat restricted.

In Germany,

Secret paternity testing is illegal, and any paternity testing must be conducted by a licensed physician and with the consent of both parents.

In Israel,

A paternity test with any legal standing must be ordered by a family court.

In France,

Any paternity testing without a court order is banned, due to the official desire to "preserve the peace" within French families, with the French government citing psychologists who state that fatherhood is determined by society rather than biology.

The technology with the potential to truly rock the very foundations of society is genetic engineering. In the movie Gattaca, the geneticist responsible for the protagonist's parent's engineered birth said,

We want to give your child the best possible start. Believe me, we have enough imperfection built in already. Your child doesn't need any more additional burdens. Keep in mind, this child is still you. Simply, the best, of you. You could conceive naturally a thousand times and never get such a result.

But that's if the parents decide they don't want to spend 50% more for a child with X-Men Angel wings.

I wish what I know now I knew when I was very young. Sadly, that optimism that you have has faded away for me. The sad reality is you'll find a better life companion within your own sex than that of the opposite. But what we want more than companionship...is sex. How many dead bedroom marriages last? Not sure I know of any. But lifelong friends? You'll find when you take away the sex from your companionship with your girl, they aren't that great of a companion. But your experience may vary, and I hope it does.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's fine... as long as people accept the consequences of that freedom. A woman who spends her youth sleeping with every attractive man she runs across, never marries, never saves, never develops a marketable skill... that woman is going to expect you and me to support her when she's sick or too old to work.

[–]1independentmale 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the price we pay for freedom.

When a smoker gets lung cancer and can't afford insurance, do we help him? When an obese person has heart issues, do we help him? When a drunk needs medical treatment, do we help? Or do we tell them to fuck off and let them die because they made bad choices, even though we have the ability to save their lives or at least lesson their suffering? This is unacceptable to me.

We could ban cigarettes and cheeseburgers and alcohol and so on, but remember prohibition created the mob. What happens when someone breaks the rules? Are we going to put people in jail for eating too much fast food?

I just don't see a way around it. If we want to live in a compassionate society while retaining our freedoms, we have to pay for it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've experienced, seen, and understood enough to decide to never marry. Changing laws doesn't change sexual imperatives and the tradition of men giving women getting what they want and women being unsatisfied about the majority that do. I don't care how alpha or beta I appear to other women, or how feminine, sexual, or kind women around me are. I don't care if every law is changed to reflect the most egalitarian society in history. Marriage is a pointless, antique ceremony and generally, a historical enslavement of men that serves women. I'm not intentionally trying to ostracize the already married men on here and I think they are wise to use game to ensure something bad doesn't happen to them. I won't even go to family weddings anymore, I have little time for society's bullshit, and "ceremony" is a subcategory.

This sentiment is so succinct, I don't think I could phrase it better..

Women are raised to rely wholly on a feminized society where they always win. No matter what. Anything they don't outright won is suddenly a taboo topic, e.g. pay gaps.

When it comes to relationships, they are already completely brainwashed that they are entitled and, moreover, excused of any and all wrong doing.

It doesn't piss me off though. If they feel empowered by me Fucking then, then yay feminism. Just don't expect a ring!

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ugh. The "article" is a series of Pew Research Center statistics and three quarters of a page of quotes from the Venker op-ed. Might as well have just linked to the study and the piece separately. It's not a tenuous connection.

The Venker piece is unfortunately one of those breeds of opinion articles that feels like the word "opinion" gives them free reign to publish whatever pet theories they didn't even bother to wikipedia check to get some kind of scholarly support. Just sounded a few half-baked ideas off of her male friends, who may or may not be imaginary, and who's to say Venker even wrote the article? Maybe they just needed a female name so people wouldn't shit on it reflexively.

The biggest problem with feminism is that its theories are presented without evidence beyond anecdata, and it fails to hold up as a model for an egalitarian society because of that, which leads to the theoretical (men=women) being more like the same old shit (men=agent, women=nonagent) and if Redpill doesn't ground itself in facts, the same old shit is going to happen to us as well. We are fighting a movement that claims to support equality and we need evidence on our side.

So I guess it's down to a decision between feminist and intentionally dumbed-down, then? Bite me, I'm in this for the truth. Leftys. Honestly.

Red Pill's truth is that femminism has destroyed traditional relationships. That the destruction of reglious constructs has actually damaged the family unit and allowed women's hypergamy to run freely.

Many subscribers to this subreddit lement the destruction of trational society and even recommend marrying women from more traditional cultures.

As for lifesitenews being against "sexual truth" they rant against promiscuity (which has been enabled by the pill) but the only reason that the Red Pill recommends promiscuity is because female hypergamy has been unleashed, not because it makes society better.

Sex is something we're biologically driven toward, and something we can thoroughly enjoy. How we decide to enjoy it and with whom are our business. Since this forum is at least somewhat about maximizing our sexual success (using sexual strategy) I think it's silly to link to a site that outright decries our sexual nature as somehow shameful or bad. I'm not saying promiscuity is a virtue, just that we would be better off accepting ourselves as sexual beings and that nature doesn't have negative moral implications.

[–]MyRedAccount 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Have you ever put your cock in a girl as she was transitioning off of birth control? I'm not entirely sure what was going on, but holy shit, that did indeed feel awesome. She still feels better. I doubt there has been research done into this, but I'd love to see some. I think birth control free pussy feels 5 times or so better, and how long I take to cum agrees with me.

Also, vagina doesn't always feel that great. I actually pissed in a girl(not consciously, I'm not that mean) once to make her think I came because it had gotten so goddamn boring. It was an IUD chick who was only 6/10, and we'd been going at it for an hour and half, but still.

Also the lack of marrying men has been a problem in the black community for a while. It is a microcosm that also involves predominantly single parent familes and is worth cross-referencing.

The problem with a woman like that is that she won't stay with you unless you are better than her.

[–]ford_contour -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it can work fine, though. as long as he and she have different ways of measuring 'better', and as long as he consistently establishes his value in her eyes, it can work. And establishing value is something every man should be doing all the time anyway, for himself. With a unicorn woman, it can actually be easier, as the man learns her specific turn ons and tells. (But don't get lazy, lads, gotta stay valuable to all women to keep reaping preselection benefits!)

It's also worth mentioning that unicorns are made, not discovered. Ideally, a man ready for an LTR should start with a woman whose father already invested heavily in her, and then just keep investing.

The primary flaw in this argument is the stance that american neo-traditional marriage is the ideal. Plenty of groups of people had women raise children in village-style communities. Plenty of people still do that today. People with large extended families can pass the kids around all the time.

DING DING DING!

I am a 23 year old woman working as a database programmer(currently finishing up my degree in Comp Sci to become a software engineer). I always have and always will put my career first.

WHY?

Because my father left my family when I was born. Just poof, disappeared. No child support, no nothing. My mom had to get a job to provide for us. Because of this, I grew up thinking that women should be finally independent.

If my dad had been in my life, I most likely would have turned out to be the marriage material that all men desire.

But I didn't.

Now according to the article, many other women of my age come from single parent households. So is the lack of marriagable women due to feminism, or a deadbeat dad who forced his little girl to get her own career?

I know in MY case, it was the latter.

Edit:spelling/grammar

Edit: I had a feeling I would find this at the bottom of the page LOL

Any chance the man your mother says is your father is actually not your biological father?

Courts readily grant child support without the man showing up in court and will happily garnish wages from afar, but your mother chose not to do that. From your description it sounds like Mom and "Dad" both knew he wasn't the father.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I never thought of that. However, my dad lives in poverty in a small village in Mexico (no joke). He and his family clean some rich person's house and in exchange, they get to live there for free. My mom said she didn't pursue child support because they didn't have any money - which I think is true because if you think about, there really isn't any way to get money from him.

Inb4 your mother got tired bored of your father and ended up cheating on him. Once he left or was kicked out, and the alpha your mom was cheating on dumped her she spent her time telling you about what a piece of trash your dad was at a young age until you believed it in order to relieve her guilt.

He now sleeps in a single bedroom apartment, with a bed and a table in the center with a lone photograph of you and your mother framed in the center.

This situation is more common than you think. Not saying it's what happened with you, I'm just saying it's a possibility and it HAS happened before to countless people. I mean it's pretty hard for a guy to just get up and leave his family, especially when the alternative is to clean houses in mexico for free rent.

My mother tried to pull that shit on me when I was 5 after the divorce. She was banking on me not remembering all the slutty incidents I knew of and was witness to being so young. Obviously she had custody, grew up hating her. Haven't seen her in years, tried to reconnect a couple times but she is still the same solopsistic emotional child with no agency or accountability for her actions. And every time I'm reminded of this and realize I can't respect her, I cut off contact. It is what it is. I'll continue being the Damien child that she has nothing to do with but prays for so I don't go to hell lol

I mean it's pretty hard for a guy to just get up and leave his family

Then why does it happen all the time?

[–]RPsixthree 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because what you percieve as the guy just getting up for no reason and leaving his family is actually the female version of the situation. The male perspective will look very, very different.

You just blindly accepted your mother's version without empathizing with your father.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All the time? In all my life, I've known one guy who did that. And I know a lot of people.

Sounds like she did not properly vet him before having a child with a man that did not want to raise one, and from the sounds of it he was not a good long term prospect to begin with.

In his case, being a cad was rewarded, so that's what he did.

[–]ktappe 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

she did not properly vet him before having a child with a man that did not want to raise one

So it's 100% her fault that he conceived a child with her that he had no intention of raising? How in your mind does he bear no responsibility??

[–]2Overkillengine 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did I explicitly say that? No. You can believe that if you wish, but what you believe and what is true are two different things.

Here's an uncomfortable truth: It take two to tango. Just like men have to be careful of women that are just associating with them to extract resources, so do women have to be careful that the man is not solely associating with them for sex.

So no, you don't get the easy out of putting all the blame on one person. Hell, I came from a broken home where my biological father was a drug addicted narcissist. I recognize that my biological father was not a good man. I also recognized my mother chose to associate with him and thus bears part of the blame for how it all went down.

I absolutely most likely would have turned out to be the marriage material that all men desire.

It's either absolutely, or most likely, not both.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah sorry about that, I was writing that post as I was leaving work.

[–]TankVet 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're allowed to go after whatever you want. No shame in having a career, it is admirable. But it's not anybody's fault that you chose a career instead of becoming "marriage material."

Seriously, don't blame your dad or your mom for shit, grow up.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Survival isn't really a "choice."

[–]NittanyLioness84 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Same boat. My mom had me to "save her marriage" with a bad boy who already had a daughter from another marriage. My dad passed at 50 from issues stemming from drug use. I was notified on Facebook by a woman he was seeing who was younger than me when he passed. I got two deadbeat parents, yay. That meant at 17, I was in the army and had to put myself through college. At 30, I finally have a career making a cozy salary as a defense contractor and met an awesome guy. The red pill helped me embrace femininity-but, unfortunately, I have to have a career that is a senior position, and still be a submissive, sweet girlfriend who works out and looks hot. We have a lot on our plate.

[–]TankVet 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sounds like you did well in spite of your parents, which is a part of TRP to me. Not just masculinity and femininity, but adulthood. With all the brutality and responsibility that comes with it.

As my mother (a high level manager at an engineering company) likes to point out, feminism used to mean that women could aspire to anything, and now it has come to mean that they are entitled to it. She has such disgust for the young women she interviews who seem to believe that they're in for the job just because there's a woman in charge.

Also: We Are!

Tits or gtfo. That's a moderator rule...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not sure why you're getting down voted. Whilst it initially smacks of special snowflake it does open up some interesting avenues of enquiry.

Was your mother faithful? Did she ever allude to any particular reason why he just left? People are kind of fucked up but I struggle to see how a guy just up sticks and leaves to live in poverty in a poverty stricken nation.

I'm so curious to hear his side of the events. Did you ever get his side of events?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No. I never spoke to him. I met him once when I was very young, like 3 years old. My mom told me we were meeting a "friend" but later on I realized it was my dad. I remember his expression. The whole time he looked quite disinterested, he couldn't quite look me me in the eye.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We'll never know then - any actual hard questioning comes through two decades of filters...

Not to be so much of a special snowflake myself my mother tried that with me. She cheated on her faithful, hard working and pretty "alpha" husband, got caught broke up, divorce raped him over falsified police charges for domestic violence and then shortly after got dumped by her lover too.

Spent the next 3 years trying to tarnish his reputation on things he had done or said, I was old enough to piece together several contradictions in what she said versus how it went down. That usually turned into me being called ungrateful or "You're just like him" etc. Had I been younger? Maybe our stories would have been broadly the same.

Just for the record, putting your career first etc doesn't make you unworthy of marriage, being an entitled cunt does. The whole Captain First mate relationship ideal isn't one of bondage and servitude. You'd likely score highly on "She has a vagina - so what else does she bring to the table?" cards.

Most don't.

I am a woman

Just a few words of advice - if you post these words on /r/redpill, nobody will listen to you. I don't know why you'd bother trying to engage these people.

[–]tallwheel 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

They will listen to you, but you don't get any bonus points for being a woman - unlike the vast majority of other places on the Internet.

[–]Starfuckinghispter 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Would those bonus points recoup the 11 downvotes she got for voicing her opinion?

That doesn't count as listening, in my view.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is very true however her being a woman is an extremely relevant topic to what she is presenting.

"I'm a fucked up kid from a shitty broken home by your standards - however it was an alleged deadbeat father not a whore mother to blame - am I now an undateable woman?".

Granted the historical context here is entirely made up from the mothers side which almost makes the whole thing disposable but that doesn't mean that her comment has no value. Men of TRP should read first and vote second, or never - it's not SRS in here, ideas are for investigating and discussing.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I read her comment with interest so back the fuck up. What is even the point of your response? "These" people you describe are everywhere; whether they even know what the red pill is or not. Fuck you and your "these people".

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

nobody will listen to you

That's why. I think it's hilarious. Srsly, I'm waiting for my program to compile and I'm giggling to myself in my cubicle.

Comments like mine show how everyone in this reddit lives in their own little she-man-woman-hater bubble selectively ignoring criticism. So far, I've gotten lots of inquiries into my personal situation i.e. redditors digging for some irrelevant factoid to justify their comments. But strangely, no one has tried to answer my question (Is it feminism or single parent homes/lack of dads causing the lack of marriageable women?) in a logical manner.

When I wrote this comment, I was expecting someone to post scientific evidence such as statistics about Millennial women from single parent homes. But I received none of this typical, RedPillian feedback.

I like TheRedPill because people on here approach questions/situations in a logical manner, usually incorporating facts and ideas from science such as evolutionary biology and whatnot. But, should that Redpillian approach to comments cease simply because I begin with my comment with "I am a woman"?

You have a lot to learn, gentlemen.
