She eventually admitted that what she did was "wrong" but that it still wasn't "cheating" because we were "broken up,"

That would be one of those moments in life where you start looking around the room, asking, "Are we on camera? Is this some sort of 'Punk'd' episode, because what you are saying is so insane or obviously designed to create a scene, I doubt any person could offer it except in those two circumstances."

[–][deleted] 51 points52 points53 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Bitch obviously planned this thing from the beginning. How he didn't realize that is beyond me.

[–]bleh321 44 points45 points46 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm just glad that this guy wasn't a typical beta mongrel that is considering taking her back.

In spite of the story, his headstrong decision to 'next' and go 'ghost' on her makes me feel somewhat better about humanity

[–]Manuel_S 29 points30 points31 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He didn't see it coming - anybody can be blindsided - but he's willing to deal with it face on.

Props to the guy.

[–]ayjayred 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

How he didn't realize that is beyond me.

What do you mean? The guy's not a beta and completely broke up with her albeit baffled.

He is bordering on natural alpha. Gf tells him to grab a beer, he tells her to grab it herself.

Also, nothing about his post was emotional. He is just 'wtf' on the whole episode. He even admits the relationship was on a downhill.

Now, this was a shit test. To see what kind of shit this guy would put up with. He nexted her and she is probably crying foul play.

A beta would convince her that she was raped by frank. And then proceed to forgive her because they were broken up.

[–]TheBromethius 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Plan of action: ACT beta and work with her, coying her to say that she was drunk, couldn't consent, and was raped by Frank. Help her through the prosecution and tell her every day how much stronger the relationship has become. Once she has annihilated her work relationship(s), dump her with a ring pop in an engagement ring box.

Or next her. Whichever works. I'm not really too invested in this.

[+][deleted] -14 points-13 points-12 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I thought there was only alpha, and only beta. Period. Is there such a thing as semi-alpha? Because then, yes, he is semi-alpha but not a full blooded pure breed. You are definitely right, emotional was too strong a word.

edit: I'm not writing this claiming to be pure alpha. If anything, I am semi-alpha as well. But I would have seen the obvious signs she was planning on Fucking Frank that night.

[–]6TLaRm4g 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Alpha and beta is like big and small. There are all sizes in between.

[–]justthrowmeout 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If he brought her the beer she would have broken up with him for being such a doormat. She made up her mind to fuck the other guy when she asked for the beer.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 91 points92 points93 points 12 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

I'm sick of reading these. This is what, the hundred thousandth "girl in an apparently happy relationship cheats for no reason other than the opportunity for something she thought might be better came along" story?

Even if you're a staunch NAWALT advocate, you can't argue with a million anecdotes. A very, very, very far from insignificant number of women are like that. That's AVVVFFINWALT. So VVFFI that we just abbreviate that string as AWALT.

It never existed, we are bonobos not chimps.

[–]tiftik 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It did. We socially evolved to force monogamous relationships on women and kept them at home. Then feminism freed women. And now we're back to square one.

[–]The_Floating_Dick 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That said, it's funny how bonobo's society is a feminist utopia, while chimps' social order is patriarchical.

[–]asd1100 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

chimps are not monogamous either, from what I understand their bitches are even less trustworthy, the don't need a "break up" if you just turn your head that will suffice.

[–]Kubomi 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We aren't anywhere near as promiscuous as bonobos as a society, many of us wish we were, but until there are orgies in the streets and we're fucking to say hello and goodbye we aren't.

[–]AgentSmith27 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Its about 50/50 in the real world. That is actually a bit worse than it sounds, especially since almost everyone eventually tries to do the marriage/family thing. Some people are not wired for it, but there are still a decent number of people that can do the monogamy.

[–][deleted] 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]AgentSmith27 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Regardless of how you feel about it, I think a vast majority of people try monogamy. The reason is mainly to start a family, and its pretty clear that children tend to have a better chance in life if both parents are present (look at the absent father issues in the black community for proof of this). This is and always has been the biggest force behind monogamy, and I don't think this is going away.

Granted, a lot of monogamy fails - you get divorces, infidelity, families get broken up, etc... but there aren't many alternatives for family life. If your wife/SO/baby mama sleeps with other guys, you might end up raising their kid, and no one wants that. If you sleep around, she will too (and then we're back to raising the kids of other guys).

Of course, as I said, monogamy does frequently fail... but people continue to attempt it because the alternatives aren't very plausible.

[–]justthrowmeout 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I think there is a LOOOT of fake posts out there. I actually think someone is posting fake "red pill proofs"

[–]AveofSpades 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely. That's too idiotic of a play by the chick. Most women are far more cunning than that. Maybe she'd say 'let's get back together', maybe, but she'd never come out and admit the other dude took her to pound town.

[–]FoxTrot1337 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

bro, do you realize 1 in 4 people think the sun rotates around the earth? not idiotic at all, especially for a woman. what a stupid fucking bitch.

[–]JD42305 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's inconsistency in the writing as well. This guy seems pretty calm about this thing, even though it apparently happened 3 days prior. He says he's feeling angry, but he's basically saying "well, just thought I'd get this off my chest." I don't care to post the specific sentences that male me believe it's fake, but this does not seem like an authentic reaction to you're girlfriend fucking another guy in the same house while you're asleep 3 days ago.

[–]luxury_banana 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's entirely possible but not that likely. MGTOW forums used to have people that scoured relationships/marriage forums for these kinds of stories to post in the "Anecdotals" section and unless they were running some kind of longhaul troll, these several year old stories they dug up were probably not made up.

You're likely just suffering from a case of just world fallacy here. You don't want to believe this shit happens as often as it does.

[–]justthrowmeout 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh I believe it happens to be sure. And this one might be real. I'm just saying there are some phony stories out there for sure. There's sort of a vicarious thrill from reading them for some reason.

[–]TRP VanguardArchwinger 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I sometimes wonder. The Red Pill is the reddit shadow everyone jumps at.

A sister of a guy I know posts on reddit, and did something about cheating or some defense of it on r/relationships, and her post was gone in fifteen minutes, and she was accused of being a red pill troll. Then, I've seen more obvious troll material get up voted.

I don't get the reasoning for posting some long, tedious fabricated story on one subreddit, just hoping some other subreddit will post and comment on it. It's not like people get a prize for successfully trolling.

[–]Stopher 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think they're just trying to get karma points for the comments.

[–]UnimpressedAsshole 30 points31 points32 points 12 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Back in high school I found out my gf fucked a guy while we were together. When I found out about it, she denied it at first, which was a huge relief to my blue-pill self, since those illusions of female innocence, purity, commitment, and loyalty were huge.

Anyway, eventually I found out for sure it had happened, and I broke up with her. Later, she's messaging me and trying to guilt me and shit, saying how she just bought me something with 2/14 on it, too. I asked "What the fuck is 2/14? Did you make up a date in your head to mark a point as to when we started dating so you can pretend like you didn't cheat on me? And you can put that gift with the Dwyane Wade jersey you told me you got me for Christmas 4 months ago but has still yet to come in the mail."

Luckily, I was informed of her cheating. Predictably, it was by a female friend of hers who wanted to fuck me.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hear, hear. Did you end up fucking her friend? That's the best way to get revenge in this case.

I know, but it held no significance worth noting in the context of our relationship, outside of allowing her to escape responsibility for cheating.

Women have control over their body. Men have control over our time / resource etc . Patrice O neil will say we are kings and they are queens. When queen cheats , she will automatically demoted to lower level .

All this shit about how the officialism of a relationship means something is crap. The fact she slept with a dude should be enough for this fella to realise that she does not want him anymore, whether or not it was in or out the relationship.

[–]fffffl 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

women are the ones that push this shit down your throat too. "so what are we?" dating for 1 year and never had the official talk? moved in together? doesnt matter, if its not 100% official they can use it as an excuse for whatever, much like they'll use alcohol as an excuse.

[–]LOLunlucky 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I hate how not surprised I am at this kind of stuff.

I hate how this has become "normal" female behavior to me.

I hate how 99% of the world doesn't see how often shit just like this happens, how women are the ones doing it 99% of the time, and don't call women out on it.

I hate how this kind of behavior is CONSTANTLY shoved under the rug with the phrase "oh well, not all women are like that!" Like it somehow makes things better, or excuses how widespread things like this are.

[–]dvrzero 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I used to read about police abuses. Not all cops are like that was the favorite phrase of apologists.

It derails the thread because we have to reiterate "yes, your uncle/mom/sister are good cop/women" when the rules of the sub state the default stance is NAWALT.

Hence it is trolling. Fuck apologists.

[–]asd1100 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

do you still believe in politicians deserve the benefit of the doubt?

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points24 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

We were on a break!!

[–]bleh321 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Heh that is why if ever a woman instigates the "let's go on a break" motion your best move is to insta-next her.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. "Let's go on a break" is their loophole to get rammed out by other dudes but still have that safety net. Or if they bold enough to openly suggest an open relationship you need take the L and next her.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 44 points45 points46 points 12 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

I was on my phone when I saw this. Glad someone posted it. This is a classic example of a woman using any available excuse, however thin or ludicrous, to satisfy her short-term, short-sighted emotional goals.

Women lack the foresight, discipline, and stability of mind to be given any responsibility whatsoever. Do not trust them until you are certain that they are so emotionally dependent upon you that they wouldn't risk losing your approval and attention for that short-term satisfaction.

This is what game is for.

We all speak in generalizations. The brain cannot function without fitting things into categories that those things might not necessarily belong to.

A table can have three legs (triangular), eight legs (really long), or even no legs (bolted to the wall). But that doesn't mean people suddenly become intellectually or morally outraged when I say "tables have four legs".

Because most tables do have four legs.

Keep this in mind when you browse TRP, and be careful about tone policing. It's frowned upon here.

[+]LackingGirth -17 points-16 points-15 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

What do you mean by tone policing? And why is it frowned upon?

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 30 points31 points32 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

"Tone policing" is a type of concern trolling. It's when you tell people "I don't disagree with what you're saying, but I think it's mean to say it that way. You shouldn't."

The goal of concern trolling is to censor certain kinds of speech while appearing to be on the community's side. It's a saboteur's strategy for destroying a community while remaining above suspicion.

In fact, concern trolling is how feminists sabotaged /r/seduction. They went in and expressed their concern about all the "misogyny and woman-hating language". Piece by piece, they declared this kind of idea or that tone of speech to be "threatening" or "over-generalizing", and eventually it became forbidden to say those things. Over time, they managed to change the discourse from strategies for fucking hot chicks to ways to "improve yourself" and to "make women feel good about being approached".

That's why at TRP, we don't just speak in generalizations, but we often keep the discourse both extreme and offensive, so that the subreddit is simply too "toxic" to infiltrate. It's a defensive strategy.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll admit I have my reservations about TRP, and the way you describe tone policing sounds a lot like what I was doing.

That's why I gave you that friendly warning. I didn't think you were a troll, but the mods are pretty merciless about insta-banning anything that sounds like concern trolling, and with good reason.

I simply worry that this sub is bad for those to ignorant too keep language from impacting their emotions.

Emotion (particularly anger) is a natural stage in the Red Pill awakening process. /u/Whisper wrote a very fine post on the Five Stages of the Red Pill and how to interpret Red Pill posts which seem on their surface to be irrational and hate-filled. I suggest you give it a read. It will help you to see why anger isn't such a bad thing here.

[–]LackingGirth -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've seen that post before, but I didn't read it all the way through until just now. I should have read it earlier. That and The Rational Male were both really good reads.

[–]gg_s 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I simply worry that this sub is bad for those to ignorant too keep language from impacting their emotions.

Fuck 'em. They're not your responsibility.

Our language is intentionally hyperbolic for effect. TRP trades in heuristics, and most of us have the good judgment to know when, where, and to what type of woman they apply.

Harsh, sweeping judgments and generalizations should not be taken literally unless the author explicitly meant it that way. TRP is amoral, meaning it doesn't concern itself with right or wrong. However, sentiments that cross the line are quickly condemned by the community.

You seem reasonable enough and open-minded. Take some time to observe the discourse here. This sub isn't a crusade or a movement. This is just a place for discussion; a bunch of guys trying to figure shit out based on previous experience and reflection. The end game of this sub is to get what you want, whatever that may be. Welcome.

First, did you notice that I didn't come here looking for advice about how to be alpha? I don't need it. So stop.

Second, did you notice that /u/HumanSockPuppet said

the mods are pretty merciless about insta-banning anything that sounds like concern trolling, and with good reason.

This wasn't an idle threat. The mods are very serious about keeping TRP from going the way of /r/seduction, and I knew that. I knew that if I wanted to have this conversation without sounding like a feminist troll I'd have to tread lightly.

I didn't start this discussion to convince anyone NAWALT. I started it because I want to understand the TRP perspective. He answered my questions, quite well, and I respectfully disagreed. This isn't submitting. For your own sake, learn the difference.

That's why at TRP, we don't just speak in generalizations, but we often keep the discourse both extreme and offensive, so that the subreddit is simply too "toxic" to infiltrate. It's a defensive strategy.

I recently stumbled upon TRP and I am still trying to fully figure it out.

I think you are putting in words something I've been sensing may be at play here. My own problem with some of the "extreme and offensive" is that I can't always distinguish between when it's used as a defense against certain things and when it's a belief I disagree with.

I think it's similar with skipping quantifiers such as "most", "some" etc.

At the moment I think TRP is about the discovery of a dark corner of the female mind/psyche, which undoubtedly exists, but it seems TRP blows it out of proportion.

When I say out of proportion, I don't mean that it's a minor issue, just that it is exaggerated. In any case, this is just based on my own experience and understanding of women (as limited as those are) and people in general.

There is also no mention of the flip side (I am not talking about TBP), but this I can assume is because, as u/VinylGuy420 stated, TRP is "a safe place for men to be men" and it makes no sense to discuss that flip side here.

I think of myself as a "purple piller" and I do my best to understand what TRP is saying and provide a reasonable argument where I can.

You acknowledge the very reason why it seems out of proportion -- your experience is limited. Part of you wants to believe that it's not as bad as TRP dictates. That's a BP mindset, one that goes away once you advance your relationship experience.

There is no purple pill, my friend. That's simply the cognitive dissonance you're experiencing. You want to believe that some parts of RP are false, to make it easier. The world would be much easier if being beta were the dominant strategy. It's not, sadly.

[–]VinylGuy420 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Correcting the way people say things to make them more PC. This is a safe place for men to be men, and talk like men in their social circles. A place where where I can say "I gave that bitch the D, and called her sister for seconds!" without white knights/feminized men (yes both I mentioned are men because that Is a lot of our critics) jumping down our throats about "equality" that is really disguised as special treatment.

[–]P0eticJustice 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Aww, NAWALT huh?

[–]LackingGirth -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Kind of.

More accurately, I am indifferent as to if AWALT, but I think that drawing a rule out of this example promotes prejudice and anger in men with sub-par social skills or poor emotional control.

In RP terms, I worry that too many men are caught in stages 1-4, rather than simply discarding their silly idealized expectations.

I don't understand why so many men have to become so bitter to develop realistic expectations of women.

[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't understand why so many men have to become so bitter to develop realistic expectations of women.

Because they were lied to their entire lives. They had the wrong worldview going in. Changing a worldview has a cost: everything you did up to the point before you changed was based on lies and was likely wrong which now has to be re-evaluated. It's very natural to be angry with those who deceived you (and in the case of dating advice, it's mostly women).

Most people don't know how to let go. But you gotta. You fucked up; doesn't matter who's fault it was... all you can do now is learn from it and move on. Can't change the past, but you can make better decisions in the future. For some reason, a lot of people think they need to be immutable. That's bullshit: Adapt or die.

On GF of 6 months and her new male friend:

This bugs me just a little, but I haven't communicated it to gf because I feel it shouldn't bug me, since I have (well, had) no reason not to trust her.

Trust is earned, it should not be the default setting especially with a newish girl.

I have a few friends of the opposite sex with whom I am very close, so it would be hypocritical of me to tell gf she can't have the same. The way I see it (saw it): it's my insecurity and I need to deal with it, not burden other people by tasking them to conform to my neuroses.

Ah, hypocrisy, the ever present fear of a nice guy. Wonder if in 20 years, he'll have a problem with telling his daughter not to be a slut since he fucked some in his time?

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The difference is with male and female friends, the female friends typically don't want to fuck you. I mean that's fine, I can have female friends and not care less about that sexually as they're just friends. But when women have make friends there is a very very high chance they want to fuck them. That makes it different.

Females befriend guys they don't want to fuck, males befriend females they want to fuck

[–]hashtagpound2point2 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm just baffled by this logic. What a stupid slut.

[–]bleh321 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Typical hamstering

[–]foghorn196 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The dude gets right on top of the answer, but doesn't latch on:

It reminds me of when I was in 3rd grade and felt bad about telling a lie so I went into the washroom and whispered "just kidding," thinking it would make the bad feelings go away (it didn't). But she's not in 3rd grade, so like wtf.

[–]fx-115es 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

why does everybody think, that this is something special?

[–]LOLunlucky 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

EXACTLY. All women do this, the one in this story is crazy, but not in any special way.

She wanted to cheat: perhaps her subconscious wasn't able to devise a shit test he couldn't pass, so she simply found any reason her stupid brain could. Women do this ALL THE TIME. Stop being surprised or incredulous and move on.

[–]1deptii 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone has already commented on the main topic of this post, so I want to comment on something else he said:

"Maybe I could forgive her if she got drunk and fooled around with some guy"

Fuck man, when even the men are not holding women responsible for their actions, how can we ever expect the women to do so themselves? Get drunk and drive? Your fault. Get drunk and fuck someone? Oh shit it's that alcohol's fault.

[–]LordXerces 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

This serves more as comedy than it does as a cautionary tale. Every woman is different, and this one just happened to be out of her fucking mind. How he didn't see the warning signs is beyond me.

[–]ayjayred 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

How he didn't see the warning signs is beyond me.

What warning signs are you talking about?

[–]LordXerces 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I can't really tell you because I wasn't there, but there must have been some warning signs when a woman is this detached from reality.

[–]fuckeh 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yea and he acknowledged the relationship was going downhill for a few weeks, so I'm sure he saw some warning signs.

[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea and he acknowledged the relationship was going downhill for a few weeks

Right after a new guy appeared....

[–]LordXerces 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Those were warning signs that they had insufficient chemistry, not that she was insane.

[–]YaFeelsMeBro 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This magnitude of crazy doesn't just happen overnight.

[–]TheBromethius 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think its safe to assume if this happened over a "joked" break up, there were at least a few harbingers of crazy from her.

[–]BoyMeetsHarem 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well she very clearly has a vagina between her legs...

[–]foghorn192 points 12 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Every woman is different, and this one just happened to be out of her fucking mind.

So, NAWALT?

[–]LordXerces 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All women work the same way instinctively and subconsciously. In that way all women are the same. But to generalize all woman as being a single entity ... Okay, bro.

[–]Thradya 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Seriously guys, calm down. It just a rewrite of Friends episode. Obviously fake story.

This thread is a very bad example of hamstering on "our" side I'm afraid.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope it is, this is so dumb.

[–]1KissTheBridesmaid 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

FUCKING Frank.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No fucking way, lmao. This is just ridiculous.

[–]SneakyTouchy 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe I could forgive her if she got drunk and fooled around with some guy

This threw me off a bit. Forgive? Well OK but does that imply he'd let it slide and stay with her? Maybe I'm just crazy but I think there's a crack in his frame here. Makes me question face vs foundation.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I listened to my new plate rationalize the wild fuck we just had while having a smoke with her roommate, who is another plate. It was fun watching the hamster in its wheel.

Damnit OP! I saw this just now on r/relationships and wanted to submit it to /r/TheRedPill.

Clearly the girlfriend planned this shit from the beginning because she wanted to bang her coworker even though she was in a relationship. She even brought Frank to the party.

She wanted to "have her cake, and eat it too" i.e. have a boyfriend but be able to sleep around. What a stupid slut. Good thing her boyfriend is a semi-alpha (made a reddit post to vent) and didn't stay with her like a beta buck bitch would.

edit: Actually, there's no such thing as a semi-alpha. You're either an alpha or a beta. Period.

[–]puaSenator 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

For sure, she had this planned and wanted to pick a fight with him somehow. But for whatever reason, he never actually gave her an opportunity for them to "get into a huge fight and break up", so she then tried to wing it as a joke or some stupid shit.

I would be money that she's successfully gotten into a big fight with a former BF, fucked some other guy that night, then had that BF come back to her and forgive her for fucking someone while they were "broken up". She's had past success and thought she could pull it off again.

[–]drewbaccha 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This, Exactly this. It sounded very calculated. There wasn't any shame for her in doing this because she had pre-rationalized the event as not cheating.

Always beware women having male coworker friends. A friend of mine (nice guy, beta) had his wife leave him so that she could fuck her male co-worker. She used to be a landwhale but once she lost the weight she was able to pull in dick that had previously ignored her. The guy she's sleeping with is full on dark triad and treats her like complete shit. Incredible.

I wouldn't say dumping someone for cheating is alpha either. It's just common sense

[–]wilgriaus 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dumping someone for cheating isn't alpha, but forgiving them is definitely beta.

[–]gg_s 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is alpha to have a bit of goddamn dignity and dump the cheater. The beta solution would factor in sunk costs, share in the blame, and try to "work past it" all in the name of a strong and everlasting love.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What can be done in a situation like this, where OP was seeing his gf (obviously his first mistake) being overly friendly with some dude?

Maintain frame and spin plates?

[–]ThirdLegGuy 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

at least we all know that Frank is shit in bed otherwise there was no way she crawled back to OP in the morning

[–]Aphrodite_ 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is just FUBAR. Man was she craving for that alpha cock.

[–]1kick6 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not even sure if I can call this hampsterbation. This was pre-meditated.
