I think you misunderstand.

Handsome men are sexually repulsive to mostly straight men. feminine men (by looks) can let some room to debate. Yes desperation can lead to homosexuality but only if the guy is really feminine (a trans/trap more than real homosexuality) otherwise a straight man would be disgusted not aroused

But the thing is, straight men are simply not attracted to other men because most men have masculine looks.

thus if a man only look at masculine men, his sex drive is choked and killed. Like in monks case.
