As far as what kind of men sexually harass women? The worst kind. Imo, men who genuinely sexually harass women, (I’m not talking about that bullshit feminist candy “He complimented how I look, I’m so offended, I’m calling HR!”), but like:

texting their female employees links to pornhub
texting them lingerie photos and saying she would look great wearing that around the office
sexting employees
getting upset when employees don’t respond back or aren’t available for non-business purely personal communications (especially at night time when they are home with their family or significant other)
asking an employee to meet in the office or somewhere private at night when it’s not a work emergency that can’t wait until the morning
telling the employee, “You and I can have sex. I mean, it’s sex. What’s the big deal? Right?”
telling customers and clients that there is some romantic relationship between you and the employee.
pulling up the employee’s skirt and leaning into the employee as if they’re about to have sex (and see if it happens or if he gets pushed away).
placing a phallic object near an employee’s face and making sexually suggestive comments or facial expressions.
lowering an employee’s compensation (regardless of the “stated” reason) soon after an employee seeks to set firm boundaries or refuses to have sex.
terminating an employee after continued refusal to have sex.

Real life cases. And in some cases, ALL of these things happened.

There are three kinds of men who do this, just like there are three kinds of sex offenders:

intimacy-seekers
power-seekers
sadists

It’s not about sexual gratification. That’s a bit of a loaded statement. That’s like saying sex is never just about sex. But this kind of sexually deviant and abnormal behavior isn’t about the desire to grope some boobs or ass, or to feel the sensation of a vagina on the penis. This is also why the “she’s too ugly to be sexually harassed” is not a valid defense or argument.

With intimacy seekers, these are men who are socially retarded. They may be married, they may be divorced, they may be single. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that they’re socially retarded. For whatever reason, they have a warped and twisted system of beliefs regarding relationship between men and women, and as a result, as you can imagine, they don’t have a history of good relationships with women. But, nevertheless, they are missing, they want, they desire “intimacy.” They want to feel wanted, desired, accepted, approved, welcomed, appreciated, etc. ... by a woman.

With power seekers, these are men who have a bone to pick with women (or, displace their frustrations with men or where they are on the power totem pole of life “onto women”). They may have perfectly healthy relationships with women, but pick out a weak victim they can dominate and overpower psychologically. For these men, the motive is “feeling powerful.” Having a woman sit there and endure watching him jerk himself off, or get on her knees and service him (notwithstanding her husband at home).

With sadists, it’s not about power, but the other person’s suffering and pain. Victims are usually strong women. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, and that’s what’s highly pleasurable for a sadist - the pain and suffering of the victim. He may require the woman to work late hours and put herself in circumstances where it “appears” as if she’s having an affair with the boss, only to intentionally ruin her relationship with her boyfriend or husband (again, not because he wants her to himself, but because he enjoys feeling her suffer). If she’s a proud woman, he may subject her to more overt sexual acts, again, just to see her suffer as she has to endure and tolerate them.

There’s no single flavor of sex offenders or sexual harassers. That’s something that juries often don’t understand, and MeToo has made very difficult for female plaintiffs. It’s not always women looking to get money for “pretending to be oversensitive and easily offended at every minor bullshit thing.” It’s not “crying rape with a paycheck at the end of the rainbow.”

I’ve had more than a couple of cases walk in my door, open and shut sexual harassment cases on a silver platter, but the woman just didn’t want to go ahead with it. I was like, “You’re throwing away $250,000. And that’s not free money. That’s compensating you for harm you’ve incurred that you may not even be aware of or feel just yet. Harm to your career. Harm to your relationships. And it’s not even enough.” And they just say, “No, it’s okay.”

I’ve seen the text messages and emails. It’s not a he said she said. Open and shut case, no thanks, I don’t want to go the legal route.

And that’s why these guys continue to do what they do. I’m never going to pressure anyone to do something they don’t want to do. People have their own reasons and I respect whatever decision they make for whatever reason.

BUT ... there’s a reason men like that feel comfortable sexually “harassing” in the civil context, and don’t result to sex “offenses” in the criminal context. It’s because they know they will most likely get away with it, and their hand-picked victim will most likely “just let it go.”

I’m not saying the would be Plaintiff should be upset at herself for what happened. But she wouldn’t be wrong to feel a little upset at all the women who came before her, and did nothing, and let it go, and effectively enabled him to continue doing this to other women. That’s all I’m saying.

I can tell you from my experience with gay apps like Grindr and its ilk that nudes tend to be pretty much required for most of the people there, and are exchanged relatively quickly (some people even start a conversation this way, but most people are more tactful about it). The line of reasoning seems to be that it saves a lot of time and disappointment to evaluate each other on a physical level before meeting up—‘men are visual creatures’ and all that, and they pretty much just want to get laid casually and not beat around the bush (no pun intended).

The problem is with straight (or maybe bi?) men who project this onto women as well, and even gay men who don’t realize other people are likely looking for some kind of conversation and trust building or even some kind of genuine human connection before they show their junk to someone else (I mean they’re called ‘privates’ for a reason).

To me, there's sometimes a kind of naive charm to dick pics. It's men making the mistake that you think the way they think. If dating could be you sending them nudes and bend-over shots and saying, "Hey, want to come over and get some of this?" that wouldn't be too awful to them. So, it's 'well, if I really want to see what she's got, then her decision to fuck me must be based on seeing my schlong'. To think otherwise is anathema to the whole 'men and women are the same' thing we insist on enforcing now.

There is also the guys who just have lost hope and/or gone into 'don't give a shit' territory. They have gone past caring. They're just gonna say to you whatever the fuck they feel like, because if they're damned, they might as well have some fun with it.

It's interesting how hard this is to get for so many women. "Why doesn't he just say hi and have a nice conversation with me?" Because that's him putting effort into trying to do and be what you want. Once you've destroyed the idea that men should do that, and chastised men for objective action and told them that that dishonesty makes them as bad as a rapist, well then this is sometimes what is left.

If women want something else, they have to re-establish the idea that putting effort into giving women what they want is a path to success.

In my experience, a small percentage of men are predators. There's a larger group, IMO, that is simply clueless, misreads cues and thinks the attention is welcome. Drugs and alcohol can play a role in loosening people's inhibitions.

Among older men (I'm talking age 60+) there is a subset that isn't strictly predatory, but was socialized in the old ways and hasn't caught up with the times. For instance, in the old days there was a sort of social contract in which a man might do some work for a woman -- fix her car or her plumbing -- in trade for sexual favors. Everyone knew the score and understood what was expected of them even if the arrangement wasn't spelled out in black-and-white. An older guy who acts this way today with a younger woman of the "Me Too" generation is liable to get himself in a bind. You know what they say about not being able to teach an old dog new tricks? Well, these guys have trouble keeping up with the changing times. They're just doing what they've always done and are puzzled when it doesn't work anymore and they find their butts dragged before a judge.

Last unsolicited one I got was this dude I met once sliding into my DMs offering to "spoil" me after I social media posted about going through a rough event. That turned into trying to be a sugar daddy and oferring to pay me to send him nudes. No money got Venmo'd to me and he was starting to get demanding so I got busy w work for an hour and stopped responding. So he sent a dick pic that popped up on my screen at work and thought that would somehow encourage me to send nudes. If that wasn't bad enough when I told him what happened he blamed me for having messenger open at work and that to make amends he would do the same and put up a nude pic of me at his work. Then sent me a screenshot of just his regular workstation because he didn't have the nudes. No apology no empathy.

Needless to say I've nixed that arrangement. I don't need the money and he clearly doesn't respect boundaries and gaslights.

So yeah, scumbag. Late 40s, fat, unattractive, predatorial.
