I'm usually the best with chicks (and dudes; I'm bi) among my friends. I'm only 5'6 and lower class (have lived out of my car before, in my younger days), but I have a pretty interesting face (I'm Danish) and I'm really articulate and funny.

I've lived a really adventurous life and have traveled all over the country, so all I need to do is hear where someone is from and I'll probably be able to talk to them about regional trends, or local phenomenon. I'm also a dirty hippy artist, so I'm primed for chill "free love" and always have an oz of weed and a travel pipe on me if anyone wants to toke up. I kayak and ski and like road trips, so all I really have to do is invite people along with me on whatever I'm getting up to at the moment. When I was a teenager, I started swing dance club at my high school and taught a lot of people to dance with me, and afterwards would invite whoever was interested to come skinny dipping with me at a remote lake I liked.

Being attractive is #2, for me. #1 is being FUN. I wingman for more anxious friends at parties and help them break the ice as just a past time. Socializing is fun for me and it definitely shows.

Nope, most important trait has always been Social Skills. All the ones I know NEVER lifted a weight in their lives and are rather skinny, but tall (that one is true for women).

Faces are quite dumb and they look a bit like babies with warts on it. Idk hiw anyone could view that as "beauty". They are to this day ugly as fuck, plain said. Yet they've always had enough girlfriends. Why you ask?

Social Skills. Not only for women, but also in school. Gaining popularity and shit, I noticed the more popularity one dude gained, the more people followed him (female and males).

On parties women would throw themselves at him. Not because of his ugly looking face, no. But because he was very good at Social Skills and knew how to talk the talk and flirt.

Back in college it was my husband. 5'8", spikey brown hair (eh, it was the fashion), small frame and lightly muscular because of manual labor (roadie), he has a handsome face with well manicured facial hair.

However he has the energy everyone keeps talking about. Charismatic, socially astute, popular, friendly, story teller, funny, leader singer of a band, social chair of his frat, he knows how to work a room, get the best drugs/get in to the best parties, and make you feel like a special somebody.

It was never an act for him, all of this came naturally and is an extension of his personality. The energy still exist today, but is channeled into family friendly values and activities (although he still does live music and can throw a killer afterparty on the fly).

I'd say he's only slightly above average in looks. Handsome face, but not a stunner (has beautiful skin though). Kinda chubby, but he wears it well. On the shorter side, about 5"6. He is latino and white, adopted by white parents when he was an infant. I've known him since I was a little kid, one of my older brother's friends.

He is fucking hilarious. I think that's the main thing women are attracted to. Super charming and outgoing. He's one of those people who can tell you a story about the most boring, mundane thing imaginable and make it fascinating. When he talks, everyone listens. When you talk to him, you have his full attention. He takes a genuine interest in people, men and women. He gives a shit about others and his community, always the first dude to show up with a truck when you need to move or check in if he thinks you might be having a bad day. He is also incredibly brave.

the biggest players i've known weren't particularly good looking. they definitely weren't hideous, and they usually pretty "masculine" looking, but they definitely weren't model tier or anything. mild dad bods, shaved head bc going bald early, things like that. but they were very popular, charismatic, had "presence" and whenever they walked in a room it was obvious that socially they were the top dog.

a LOT of guys who are tall or naturally very good looking never really develop good game to match because they can rely on their looks and still get laid a decent amount. they do have girls approaching them and basically asking if they want to fuck, but it's pretty random and they don't have any control over it. and when those guys do try to hit on a girl that they're attracted to, often they crash and burn hard because they really don't know what they're doing if the chick isn't already DTF.

I’ve known kind of a lot of players, but if you’re asking for the most extreme one, his name was “sketchy (name)” on MySpace and he absolutely lived up to the moniker.

He was like 6’4”, skinny, had intense blue eyes and was missing some of his front/side teeth (def noticeable). He was a coke dealer and “gang” member (really more like soccer hooligans than bloods or crips) who carried weapons including guns. He had interesting style and charisma, he was literally always a very fun guy to hang out with in spite of having an intense aura of danger and shade. If you were just hanging around and didn’t have money he would pretty much for sure smoke you out, buy you drinks, pay your share of whatever entrance fee etc or call his bouncer friends to get you in for free because he knew everyone and always had piles of cash from “that life.” He knew a lot of famous bands of the mid 2000s too.

The thing is while he banged some incredibly hot girls including literal porn stars, models etc, he also had tons of “eh” or even ugly girls. I was once talking to another huge player and sketchy at the same time, and sketchy said he’d banged 200 or so girls, and other dude said “yeah but I’d pass on your bottom 100, like completely.” Dude had 100 or so of his own girls .

Anyways, this guy is now a triathlete. Has done the iron-man at least ten times. As one older, wiser person commented years ago, he took his passion for partying and parlayed it into something else. Makes me feel weird looking at his Facebook, I used to torture him running, he'd make me puke trying to run with him now.

Facial symmetry (so long as said male is at or above median height and fit) has a stronger selection chance than "intrasexual competition" and other social skill sets.

HOWEVER, there's a disqualifier present. What TRP calls "frame."

More or less, all of these studies basically assume said male is socially competent.

Narcissism, arrogance and cues to dominance are positives as well, nurturing qualities and intelligence are negatively correlated with STR mate selection.

So there's two truths here.

YES, lookism is true in a literal sense. But any of these guys can and often do disqualify themselves, not by "being assholes" but instead by being unattractive which negates the advantage of said traits unless she is looking to turn him into a controllable LTR mate.

So a lot of the conflation here by women who claim "they only date men who aren't red pill assholes and all my bfs\husbands are hawt" aren't necessarily wrong, just doing what women do which is ignoring what men are asking\looking for, which is easy access to sex.

Which is one part looks and another part not fucking it up (game).

But as most men begin to learn, if she has to choose between a chubby drug dealer who is fearless and fun for a night and a meek good looking man who says sorry the whole night and has her lead, most women will choose said "loser" for a game of hide the sausage.

Some women do select "suboptimally" by choosing said men for STR relationships out of a need for control, shame etc, but they do no make up a strong enough majority to change the studied selection preferences of women.

So what this OP is observing is essentially TRP's concept of "frame." Basically that men who lose the social IQ game of displaying their dominance and sexual status basically multiple by zero.

And since there's a HUGE surplus of male sexual desire to supply in STR markets, women don't have to generally make the choice between meh and good looking men for STRs.

Hence women sharing men with high SMV. SMV is sexual market value, which is not strictly physical.

Men who have looks but act like blue pill doofuses are not high SMV. They are high RMV. And men with high RMV rarely are skilled to obtain STRs easily.

So ultimately your question is, are men who have high SMV able to easily get women for STRs? Yes.

Do men who have low SMV and high RMV do well with STR markets? No.

Any guy that knows his head from his ass should realize if you have to choose between "looks maxing" and learning how to manage women properly, to choose the later if you could choose just one.

So to "unplug" before focusing on looks (which is what blue pills will covertly tell men to do).

If you focus on looks but lack the "social IQ" or game, or whatever you want to call it, you're basically just bait for STRs with radfems\nutcases\rape survivors, and increasing RMV.

And well if you understand this stuff, you should understand being "a catch" is sort of an insult compared to the guys that are easily bedding women without investing, they are the real number ones and men acknowledge this by being jealous of men who don't "have to play the game."

The one guy that comes to mind was one of my housemates in secondary school. He was about 180cm, a bit chubby (even though he went to the gym casually), had nerd glasses and was basically average looking.

He lived together with 7 other guys from my class and me, but was in a different department of school. His class consisted of 32 girls and 4 guys. Idk, I guess that also helped him. Because he just KNEW how girls wanted to be treated. He was best friends with all the pretty girls from his class, and every now and then when they went out drinking he took one of them home.

Since I was living with him I knew him, the "real him" better. And from what I observed I'm like 99% sure that it was all because of his attitude. Not his personality, his attitude. He was very self confident. He was good at twisting girls around his finger by flirting. Bluntly said, he was a good manipulator.

During the time we lived together I lost some weight and after that he also tried to get me into bed. He did his usual. Tried to show me how an amazing guy he was while at the same time tried to lower my self esteem. It didn't work though since I had seen him do it with so many girls over the time I lived with him. But it was really fascinating to see what would usually work for him.

Idk why I escalated this anecdote, I'm sorry if this is not exactly what you were looking for. All in all it was definitely not his looks that made girls fall for him. It was his attitude and his "manipulative" flirting abilities. He knew how girls wanted to be treated (probably because he spent 5 years of his school life surrounded by mostly girls) and he used that.

One is 5’4. Married now. But dresses like a male model and his career and personality is pretty much Ari from Entourage. Very cute face. Cuter than Ari’s.

One is 6’4. Average face too. But a very square face. But he’s a basketball player so all of his friends are tall and athletic. Some with cuter faces. And yet he’s the one who “slays.” It’s his personality. Very charming. Nice to everyone. Always laughing. Deep voice. Men naturally defer to him. It’s crazy to watch.

The rest of them all are varying heights and levels of facially cute, but they all hacked the code by being very social and the guy who organizes the things everyone wants to go to or be involved in. All of this while advancing in their respective careers too.

As someone else said it’s the “energy.” Define it how you want. But all of these guys radiated in their own way.

The plain and simple truth? He (a roommate) was a genuinely nice guy. It just so happened that he was foreign and moved to America when he was young. Women heard his accent and they immediately made their minds up about wanting to date him. I saw it with my own eyes. Add that to the fact that he is 6' 5 and a complete white knight willing to bend over backwards for any woman and it was a done deal. He told me I needed to be myself, he told me "there's hundreds of women on campus; you'll find some in no time". What he didn't understand was that a slightly taller than average blonde guy (ME), who is introverted, pale, no accent, living in America (the one place on the entire planet where blonde people are not seen as exotic except for Denmark) couldn't generate the same level of attention from 19-24 year old American women that a goliath Central European dude could. It was rigged from the beginning and I couldn't stand it.

Edit: he also had different standards for men and women as far as their dating techniques. For example, I was on date #3 with this chick I had known for about a month and I tell him I planned on asking to spend the night at her place. He tells me that that is creepy to do that so soon. His friend (a different chick) literally falls asleep on the FLOOR of a guy she had met 2 days ago and said nothing. He didn't acknowledge that most guys weren't smothered with female attention; he incorrectly assumed that most guys could attract women like he could if they just tried hard enough. He was mistaken in the amount of effort dudes usually put forth. And no, it was not culture shock, he had been living in America roughly 12 years at that point. That's long enough that he was fluent in English and had time to take note of American dating.

He was not the best looking guy in the world, but he was a nationally ranked downhill skiier and had lived for a few years in a winter sports academy. His parents were divorced. He was virtually unsupervised and he held all of the parties. He had a boat. He sold drugs to buy nice clothing. Impenetrable frame. The two guys I knew that did the best we’re both slightly more than 6’0” tall. One guy was muscular and the other guy had a dad bod. Both were charismatic dudes. The college guy was downright self destructive and flunked out of college. Then he went to the Marine Corps which straightened him out and now he works private security (we are in our early 40’s). The high school guy was from a tough background and just sort of floundered after high school.

Both great guys to be around and both could have been Abercrombie & Fitch models with their facial structures. Neither was overly academic or ever showed more than average intelligence. So yeah, looks and natural charisma are 99% of the battle. You’re either born with them or you’re not. No sense being bitter about it.

All the guys I know that were incredibly successful with women were first and foremost handsome. It didnt matter if they were morally bankrupt, cheaters, abusers, etc... women didn't care. They saw a pretty face and nice body and nothing else mattered.

So for any guy that wants to be successful I would say you know what must be done.

I know one guy, who has casual sex like no one I have ever seen. He is really good looking huge shoulders big sharp jaw classic incel "mogs me" kind of guy.

Women always say they wouldnt fuck a guy just on looks alone, but I have seen multiple multiple women do just that with him. I think to them its like I could get with him and that means I am high value. They clearly dont get mens thinking, but they will straight dm him asking if he wants to see them naked in bed.

My 3rd cousin who is two years younger than me. He's around 5'10 and skinny. His face is model tier though and he's got good proportions. He's not the smartest guy and lacks self-awareness, but is extremely competent socially and as normie as you can be.

He's had girls fawning over him since he was in elementary school, and has basically had 20 different girlfriends since then. He's had countless hook-ups and once even had a fling with a 45 year old when he was 19. He was telling me how she would give him road dome all the time lol. When we were on a family vacation together, he was 12 or 13 years old at the time, and all the girls staying there wanted him, the oldest being this 19 year old. He lives in a different city so i only get to see him a few times a year, but it is sui fuel whenever I see the sexual attention he receives. It's quite literally effortless for him to get sex.
