Because of my academic career, I have been quite busy, so busy that I did not contact anybody that is not academically related to me in the last month.

This is quite normal to me, and I quite like it. But when I told my female friend with benefits she seemed quite distressed somehow.

She thought I was suffering these days without "human interaction" (which I did have, just not non-related to work) and told me about a week she could not talk to anybody because of work and studies.

She talked like it was some kind of torture.

I ask myself how would women behave if they lived the same solitude that me and my male colleagues have.

She lost her cool just because I mentioned that to me and my brother, it is common to have weeks, months and in some cases, years, without her definition of "human interaction".

She said that if she was like that, say, working in a cargo ship or oil rig, she would go crazy with it.

What do you guys think? would women really go crazy by solitude alone?

Edit1: Her definition of "human interaction" is "to talk or stability communication with anyone for motives unrelated to work or survival."
