I do but just generally as in “I’m for women’s rights”. And since I’m liberal some of the more “feminist” type stances just naturally fall in line with my own political leaning. (Classily liberal not SJW-liberal). I have never studied “feminism” and I can’t spout off some super Informed history of it and what the “official” positions are.

I don’t because it’s such a broad term nowadays, I’m not sure what specific beliefs I’d even be aligning myself with. I agree with some beliefs associated with feminism, disagree with others. I roll my eyes when I hear people say it’s nothing more than believing in “gender equality,” I think they’re being intellectually dishonest. That said, I also don’t identify as “anti-feminist,” for the same exact reasons.

Thank you for addressing this misconception about Blue Pill. NO, I am not a feminist. I am egalitarian and always have been. Most of my friend identify as Feminist but most of them are also dudes.

Yeah, specifically a liberal feminist (as opposed to a radical feminist, there's been a schism forming in the movement for a while).

I think that a lot of institutions are biased against women or in support of men, and that usually women are better positioned to critique that bias than men.

Edit: by "institution" I don't mean like the Smithsonian, I mean like lasting social structures, such as healthcare, education, government, etc.

I'm not because currently feminism doesn't want to bring equality between genders, it tries to get as many benefits for women as possible. Disregarding equality when it's not beneficial for women.

Shorthand, I’d say yes, in that I’m for gender equality. I think men that claim it has darker more ulterior motives are either being disingenuous or are paranoid and insecure about their own genderrole. But that’s about as far into feminism I’d go. I’m not really a joiner and I tend to disagree with 90% of every demographic.

I’m gonna guess that the word will probably begin to fall out of fashion eventually for something more updated and accurate of the modern gender climate. I don’t disagree with what it essentially stands for, but I think the word is misleading because femininity and masculinity both face unique setbacks that could stand to run less counter purpose.

I don't identify as a feminist, but I'd consider myself a feminist sympathizer/supporter. I think gender critical feminists have the right idea, and I have a lot of respect for the ideological consistency of radical feminism.

Personally, I think I do too many things that are contrary to feminism to really label myself as such. I don't believe that a person is a feminist just by calling themselves one or believing in equality of the sexes. Certain choices are inherently more feminist than others.

I am sympathetic to the type of feminism that strives for men and women having equal opportunity. I am not sympathetic to the type of feminism that seemingly generalizes all men negatively.

I'm actually a radical feminist. This to me means acknowledging and fighting against sex-based oppression (libfems reject sex-based oppression for gender identity-based oppression) in an intersectional manner. Some easy ways to distinguish us vs liberal feminists: I'm pro the Nordic Model, anti-porn, and anti-essentialism beyond the physical realities of men being taller and heavier with more testosterone, and women being able to give birth. What makes me a feminist is not just ideology, but actually trying to make a difference to deprived people's lives with donations, charity and my choice of career. I just think it's silly to ignore reality in the face of what suits you the most and feels the nicest, which is something I think many on both sides get wrong.

I'm not a frequent poster here though. I don't engage in debates unless I know I have the proper amount of energy and time to devote to backing up my shit - especially when I know there is a minority who just seem to spam threads with opinions and provide 0 supporting evidence.

I identify as a feminist in the sense that I believe in equality between the sexes, and that there is still work to do in particular areas. My particular interest is in representation on and behind the scenes of television and movies.

I’m not a feminist the way many users on PPD seem to describe it, meaning I’m not a man-hating sjw feminazi who rages about the patriarchy thinks all men are rapists.

For the most part I don’t think about feminism in my every day life. It’s a much bigger deal in PPD.

I’ve been casually feminist for over a decade, in the “I support women’s rights” sense. I never took women’s studies or anything in college, I don’t really care about specific academic feminists, my feminism is a more practical, every day, being the good I want to see in the world style of feminism, not reading and memorizing lofty academic theories. I very rarely recognize individual so called “prominent feminists” when they get posted here by RPers, and sometimes I get the feeling anti-feminists pay way more attention to the specific writing of feminist authors than feminists do. I’m much more interested in discussing ideas and real world experiences with normal people from diverse backgrounds. I’ve learned way more from regular people in subreddits and other forums and social media private groups that way than from alleged high profile feminists.

I do think it’s becoming frustrating to identify as feminist these days in some venues, since the net it casts is so wide, and so many people who wildly disagree with my beliefs also can call themsevles feminist. To me, feminism means acceptance, intersectionality, an ongoing conversation that is more about the discussion than an end goal. It means embracing the LGBT community, ethnic and religious minorities, reproductive freedom, sex positivity, respect for sex workers, and yes men’s issues as well.

There are multiple schisms within feminism right now, one thing that I think could help people in this sub who want to ask feminists questions (good faith questions, not gotcha questions) would be to ask what feminism means to them to truly find out where individuals stand, as opposed to “feminists, why do you all believe/do this??” when plenty of us don’t even believe/do that.
