Fuuuuuuck, no...

I'll admit, I've almost begun to develop a sense of begrudging sense of respect for Harris O'Malley. He may be a hustler, but I'll be damned if his shtick isn't fucking brilliant. Look, the long and the short of it is he may claim he's trying to help nerds overcome their dating woes, but if you actually spend just five minutes skimming through his articles, you'll quickly realize that his real target demographic are women, and that he's really just telling them what they want to hear.

And no, he's not doing to get laid or anything, it's just pandering to women is a hell of a lot more profitable (and far, far easier) than trying to help men.

No. He's less awful than other sources, but still not great.

If you go back to his early stuff, it was actually useful and respectable. But since then, he found there was more clicks and popularity to be found pandering to feminist women who would share his stuff rather than actually helping men. Its not quite ground zero for the "white male cis nerds are the WORST" meme, but its a good example of self-flagellation and capitulation to the whip-wielding overlords.

The comments on the site are ridden with women and SJWs, its just fucking awful.

I think the stuff he writes that's actually still worthwhile is for people already IN relationships. He's got a lot of content about leaving toxic partners, and how more people in general, but especially men, need to be willing to walk away from a bad relationship instead of staying there out of fear of being alone. I think this is really good work, but its not super-helpful to his claimed target audience.

Nerdlove is a super vague more-progressive-than-thou douchebag. Half the time he isn't even trying to help you, just to shove his ideas of virtue down your throat.

The best thing one can say about him is that he's not 100% wrong 100% of the time.

I don't read much Dr. nerdlove, but from what I have read is a little bit too guilt filled. Redpill isn't healthy, but I don't really think Nerdlove is a step totally in the right direction.

Male feminists are creepy. The prominent ones keep turning out to be actual literal creeps.

But they're by definition public figures, so they're a really small sample size that's heavily skewed. Like how so many CEOs and politicians are psychopaths. Or how so many Social Justice Activists are Borderlines and HPDs.

Even the ones that aren't creepy are not actually that nice to women.

What do you think of Dr. Nerdlove?

Recently Dr Nerdlove seems to have been taking up a lot of RP ideas and "blue washing" them.... removing anything that might be offensive to anyone, and passing on the remainder.

When I checked him out a few years back he was BP through and through, when I checked again 3m ago it was all de-weaponized RP stuff.

Of course, making RP stuff acceptable to the feminists involves removing about 80% of the effectiveness. I just guess that the 20% thats left behind is better than what he was pushing before in an effectiveness sense.

It's interesting to see the BP advice world gradually picking up our stuff, de-fanging it, and then passing on the warmed over pap because it is still better than what they advised previously.

So...Anyway....Thats what I think of Dr Nerdlove.

No. Dr. Nerdlove is dating advice supposedly tailored for male nerds but with a target audience of women. In short, it's feel good bullshit with some feminist politics and the usual male bashing and shaming that comes with it. Considering, that the crowd he supposedly tries to cater to is quite vulnerable to this kind of messaging(think scoot aarson), that makes him quite disgusting. Then again, that's male feminists for you.

this experiment is kind of nonsense if you don't control for certain factors. For instance, TRP never really says that you cannot get laid without acting in a 'red' manner. there are plenty of oblivious chads out there, and otherwise attractive guys that manage to get some. The only way this experiment would make sense is if you were starting from the same relatively low point and working your way upwards imo

Made me lol. Good luck with your experiment. I've never read Dr. Nerdlove, but I would imagine his dating advice will probably only work on a certain subset of women. Probably the ones who absolutely hate being alone, or women who never get attention from guys.
