I dont know why,but older guys just dont do it for me. And I dont mean 50,I mean like 30+,so I always date 1-2 years below my age. I really dont think any human being gets hotter with age,we all get worse.

My husband is 6 years younger than me. Men in their late 20s to mid 30s that I went on dates had some underlying bitterness or desperation in them. Younger men seem to be excited to go on dates. They were not as smooth or mature as the older men but they just came across more honest.

I genuinely do not know why. I am an early 30s post graduate in a university and I find myself attracted to all these 18-20-year-olds. It's scary and I give myself the creeps.

Men peak in physical attractiveness at 28. Which is old when you're 20. Grabbing a younger guy and keeping him is the best solution.

You can carry on about other attributes all you want, I want them too, not instead of.

I have been attracted to men as young as 16 and as old as 50ish, as an "adult" woman. The oldest and youngest fringes represent outliers. The average man starts to hit his attractiveness phase (whatever that may be for him) around 20 and starts to slip around mid 30s or early 40s. However, some precocious teenagers fill out sooner, grow beards, etc. especially if they aren't white or especially tall. Youngins who hit certain "man" ratios still have an otter mode build and a sort of high energy surge behind all their movements. It can be appealing in it's own way. The fantasy of a younger man is that they are more desperate or desirous of you. Young guys kind of stink of libido, and despite what some people on here think, male desire is intoxicating, not unappealing.

While it's just a fantasy and probably not something I'd actually do, there's something really hot about the thought of a younger guy. I imagine it's the same power fantasy men indulge in. It's attractive to be the one in control, the one with the money and the experience and the confidence, to see the wonder in his young eyes. I'm 32 and I won't lie and say that I've haven't fantasized about seducing someone in their early 20s. Like I said though, I probably wouldn't actually do it.

I don't like younger guys. Their personalities are usually a turn off.

My girlfriends who go for younger men are usually afraid to get into real relationships. That said, one of them is a top research doc who married a guy 8 years younger than her. They have 2 kids now and seem happy. So what do I know?

I like them to be easily trainable, I'm very particular about a lot of things in my life, I don't want someone who is already "shaped" by society and past relationships. Plus I lIke the way men look on the younger side (not too much, maybe 3-5ish years younger).

When these qualities are present in ~20-y-o guys, it's pretty hot and feels different from finding them in an older man. I think this might say something about how I perceive our society, but to me a young man can be more genuinely on top of the world than almost any older one. Sure he is probably poor and hasn't achieved much yet, but he still has that sort of fresh determination, ego, and ballsiness that can't be sustained over many years of taking shit from life. Older men are more wary and tempered, they know how badly things can get fucked up.

I've always had a mental block that keeps me from considering a younger man seriously, though. When I was 27, I couldn't see going lower than 26; now at 30, the lower bound would probably be 29. I think it's about how I perceive myself through their eyes. I can't imagine that they would think of me as a really hot sexual object, not as much as girls younger than them, and I have no desire to be with someone who's not super hot for me.

Dominance, forthrightness, intelligence and economic success are traits women look for to settle down with. If you're just out for a quick shag, you'll look for the hottest guy and see if he's interested in a shag - 9/10 times this will be someone much younger, if a woman is 35 plus.

My partner of 7 years is quite a few years younger than me. That wasn't planned, but when I think about it, maybe the reason we get on so well is partly because I'm older and he's younger.

He doesn't try to dominate me, doesn't ever speak down to me, doesn't ever explain things to me like I'm a "woman" and he has the social and political beliefs of many younger people. It's not in my nature to dominate, but I hate being dominated, so we're very equal in our relationship.

And when you think to the far future, he's less likely to die years before I do, because he's younger.

He was making more money than me when I met him, but he's now earning less. But it's not a thing and neither of us care. Who brings in the most money is not important to us.

No one has ever picked our difference in age. We're always thought to be around the same age.

Surely the attributes that are attractive to the opposite sex, such as dominance, forthrightness, intelligence, economic success are less likely to be found in men dramatically younger than you, say if the hypothetical woman is this scenarios is 30yrs old and her man of interest is 20yrs old.

I think 20 years old is too young whether the person is male or female. 35 and 25 or 40 and 30 is much better.

They're less likely to be jaded, ran through by Chad & his bros, more attractive, more time for us to date before marriage & babies, is willing to have a fun relationship vs. wanting me to "pay" (marriage) for things she gave to Chad for free. It's just the natural order of things. IMO, a man should be anywhere between 2-10 years older than his wife with the sweet spot being like 4-5 years.

Plus, it works for me. I have a baby face. Always have. So at 28, I look closer to 22 than 30. One girl thought I lied to her about my age (we never ever discussed age. Ever. But I assumed me telling her the year I graduated high school should've been enough of an indicator) but, she assumed I was 23/24 like her vs. being 28 because of how I look. So it works against me sometimes because they assume I'm younger and then pause after finding out the real number. Then there's this new chick I'm seeing now. She's 23. Her mouth dropped when I was told her I was 28. Said everytime she looks at me she has to remind herself because I could pass for much younger. So it works for some girls (you looking "young" makes you not come off as a creeper) but, not for others (dumb girls who don't realize graduating high school in 2007 means you were probably 18 then and can't possibly be 23 in 2017).

Intelligence is largely genetic, age doesn't make you smarter. More knowledgeable maybe, but your IQ is pretty fixed throughout life.

I don't like dominance at all, I'm only attracted to submissive people.

Younger guys are way, way more attractive physically, and also I tend to have more in common with them.
