Have you ever known a man who was financially successful yet had trouble dating women?

Financially successful means well above the average income. For America, lets say this is at $135,000+ per year.

So have you ever known a man like this? if so what was he like? Why did he have trouble dating women?

I'm in Silicon Valley. It has one of the worst gender ratios in the country. That 135k per year might be mid class or lower.

Plenty of incel millionaires here.

I'm a little short of 135,000, but I doubt a couple extra thousand would take me from 29 year old virgin to successful. I've got a couple of coworkers who are doing better than I am but not great either.

Problems: -Nerdy, shy, awkward, somewhat spergy programmers aren't exactly a hot commodity.

-We live in a wealthy area (Montgomery County, MD). It's just not THAT much money here.

-It takes a lot of time and effort to have a successful career: this isn't a 9-5 job, and I do extra work outside my job to keep my skills fresh. There's just less time and energy for socializing/meeting people/etc.

My eldest brother who is 32 makes $150000~ a year and has almost no dating life. I know he goes on a few dates with women, but after he has tried a bit he is still single. He is very quiet and introverted, that does it help his situation.

It seems like he would rather just focus on work, I am sure he will find some great woman to marry soon.

I know quite a few in my work (earning GBP 150 to GBP 500k+ basic). In general they seem like normal guys to me who just prioritize their work over relationships. They seem to take the attitude that if a woman comes along then great but of not they aren't that bothered. They're in their late 20s-30s and seem to also be worried about gold diggers so avoid any and all women they might meet through work.

They're all well rounded enough guys and don't appear to have problems socially.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Financially successful men, unless they are wise, tend to be top marks for most women.

They have no problems dating. They just get married and taken to the cleaners too fast to do much dating.

I don't know anyone who makes that kind of money, my guess is that people like that either move to a big city or they settle down with a family

I know a number of said men. Hell, I know a few guys worth a few mill who are not successful with women. A common theme is the desire to be loved for yourself, not for your money and inability to properly invest in your looks/activities that you spend your free time with. Also a number of repeated failures usually leads them to a belief that they are bad at dating, so they go to back to the thing they are good, if not stellar at - their work.

Loads of docs I went to school with fit this description. A lot of them are totally hopeless when it comes to women. The ones who actually know what they're doing crush it.

I have known men who have had success in every area of their lives, except sex, dating, and marriage. This is much more common than people think, mostly because of the very poor instruction and education that men of my vintage tended to get in the 1970s and 80s.

Actually, I have a second example too. Separating the post as the other one is plenty long.

I have another friend. Born less rich but still UC/UMC. This guy however is far richer himself, is worth at least a few million while being younger than me, he's on the list of 30 under 30 to watch, made is money through a software company.

Now this guy is quite interesting. He's buff, good looking, never had women trouble really, but as soon as he got seriously rich, he gets nothing but goldiggers.

His problem is finding love. He learned rp the hard way, getting used by a hot cunt, seeing how fake a woman's love is and how real it can feel regardless.

Its traumatized him something hard, he's basically MGTOW atm, but he's also missing male friends as having that much wealth makes him wary of every one wanting to use him.

The grass is always greener.

a dude that makes that amount of money and doesn't get ''laid'' is barking at the wrong tree. Young women don't care about money. Now late 20s and 30+ year old women would marry the guy and deign to fuck him from time to time. They wouldn't be sexually attracted to him tho.

When you are financially successful, you are probably working full time right? Thats a 1/3 of your life taken over by work. Yes. I know a programmer who doesn't get dates but he's a workaholic and spends most time working or playing video games. Has been addicted to gaming since the 80s with Atari. He doesn't like to socialize or go out. He works at home so he doesn't have to interact with people. Also orders lots of takeout over the phone.

Yes, absolutely. I have a friend that is from an upper class family of doctors worth several million, he himself has at least a few hundred thousand saved up and makes around six figures.

Dude is basically a virgin. Has had sex only outside of the country and well after 25, not even 5 times total.

He's not fat. He's not a gamer. He's not a nerd.

His problem is he has no edge, no attitude, no game, low social skills, doesn't understand women, doesn't make women feel good, doesn't do much for fun, doesn't let go well.

My SO once described that she'd rather be homeless or a prostitute than marry him. Lol, and physically we're pretty similar, he's cutter with more muscle but I have a broader shoulders and a stronger jaw line.

It all comes down to how he makes women feel. He is not women's escape. He doesn't make women feel good enough and manage their feelings enough. He utterly hates stupidity and airheadedness, which is a major hold up as all women are vapid, he wants women to be like men.
