Do all women want dominant alpha males?

No, not all women want dominant men, but I do believe that being dominant as a man is going to help noticeably more often than it hurts when it comes to attracting women. I'm not thinking of the "controlling asshole" caricature (although that can work); I'm thinking the strong and decisive man who's able to take charge when necessary.

I'm completely on board with the BP-ish approach of rejecting absolute statements and acknowledging variation, but I think it's really damaging to take this too far and just settle on a "well some do and some don't" platitude. Exceptions exist and that's important to understand, but that shouldn't make us blind to trends that exist.

It depends what you mean by dominant. But I mentioned elsewhere, one of the most common complaints that you will get on problem pages is...he doesn't initiate sex, he doesn't take the lead in anything, he wants me to make all the decisions, he never surprises me, he's too passive...I even had one girl who I dated say that her ex wouldn't disagree with anything she said.

No woman wants someone like that, every woman I have ever met wants someone who takes the initiative, is something of a leader, and sweeps her off her feet sometimes; ie. is masculine. I've never met a woman that didn't want that.

When you generalize "women," what you're actually saying is "okay, I have this cultural understanding of what 'woman' is and now I'll talk about that generalization".

These cultural understandings differ tremendously across the globe. What you call an alpha-male in the United States would be a subject of absolute mockery in other places. In many parts of Asia for example, an attractive man is a man who is soft-spoken and democratic - the understanding being that intelligence in dealing with others is a sign of sophistication and adeptness while pompousness and selfishness is a sign of bad manners and stupidity.

So there is always a difference between this cultural schema and the individual desires underneath them. Generalizations are in the realm of cultural schema and will always be related to someone's family history, cultural experiences, race & class, etc.

there is a huge correlation between women who work in high testosterone fields and their sexual submissiveness in bed, because they want to feel like a woman. This means that the more a woman denies her attraction to high T alphas, the more it will manifest in some other way.

Women now think that they are men, and thus have a wide range of likes. This is complete garbage because while female sexuality is more fluid than the male version, the actual arousal cues are much more narrow and rigidly defined. Imagine a young, attractive woman in the US saying: "Its friday night and I'm horny, I'm going to go exactly for my fetish of an old, fat, short, smelly, nerdy antisocial asian/indian guy!" It literally never happens. The feminist "trickle down sex" theory falls flat in the face of reality.

Even the famous "He For She" Emma Watson herself talked about how she likes sensitive men, and then dates a 6 foot 5 rugby player. TRP understands that in the end, biology wins. In every one of these cases, the women are simply talking about qualities they want an alpha man to display towards them, to show commitment. Ironically enough, this actually lowers attraction.

What women really want is Alpha Bucks. Since the alphas will not commit, they must then respond with their dual mating strategy.

TL:DR; women say that they are attracted to beta traits, but this is when they are not ovulating. When any woman just wants to get laid, they will consistently go for the chadliest of chads because he is experienced and is more likely to give them an orgasm (or not care, which is "like totally hawt").

Many women don't want dominant alphas but they don't usually want submissive "betas" either. What they usually want is a man with a combination of alpha and beta traits, a man which TRP doesn't seem to want to believe exists but clearly does. Also, the traits that women like in a man to be dominant differ based upon the woman. Usually physical attraction is necessary, but it's not always muscles - some women like the lean fit type. Other women may like an average but somewhat fit body as long as the man is intellectually impressive. It really depends upon that woman's individual tastes.

Personally, I haven't found myself attracted to the "chad" type. Some women are. I think even redpillers know that there are exceptions, which is why me and many of the other women at ppd get constantly told we're "outliers".

He just needs to be masculine. I look and sound very feminine - it's not hard to be more masculine than me. But don't try to dominate me. I view men who try to dominate women as weak and very uncertain of their masculinity. It's off-putting to me in the extreme.

Not all women are attracted to dominat alphas. Some women do want the skinny new-aged feminine guy. These women are usually very masculine themselves however.

Masculine women want feminine guys, feminine women want masculine guys. The "hot chicks" you see on tv etc are feminine women, so TRP focuses on attracting those types of women.

I think there is certainly variation, but it tends to be variation from a norm by gender.

So let's say there are 20 things you must be, attributes you must have to certain levels, to be counted as an alpha male... Most neuro-normative women will be attracted to 16-17-18-19-20 of these attributes.

So it's uncommon to find women who would not be attracted to an alpha male... Although many of these still remain attracted to Beta males too, particularly those we'd classify as "high-betas" because they have many or the alpha attributes listed (if not a set full enough to be an alpha male).

It's not a case of requiring a Chad to be attracted. It's that women are attracted to alpha attributes... The more the better.... And Chad is an fictional archetype who by definition has ALL of the alpha attributes, in spades, and naturally.

It's a rare women who ISNT attracted to (say) 90% of the alpha list..... Height, Symmetry, Ideal Weight, Musculature, Dominance, Confidence, Wit, Intelligence, social Proof, Pre-Selection, Well groomed, Well dressed, Musical ability, Linguistic Ability, IDGAF attitude etc etc.... Whilst many woman may drop 1 or 2 here, many more do not... And so few women as to be utterly negligible aren't attracted to anything off that list.

No, not really. The Rational Male did a post on this some time ago. I can't find it now. But it essentially said that men's sexual preferences run the wide spectrum of types. You name it, there's some guy out there who really digs it.

women are different.

when you ask women what they want in a man, they almost universally point to the same physical preferences:

--masculine facial features: dark hair, darker (not pale) skin, narrow set eyes, "lantern jaw", stubble

--broad shoulders

-defined pectoral muscles

--narrow waist, taper from shoulder to waist

--"V"-shaped torso

--nicely shaped proportional butt

--muscular definition throughout the body

So no, it's not the case that women have preferences for different kinds of men. Women universally prefer the above described type.

There are very few women who love fat men, overly skinny men, men with bad skin, bald men, men with deformities or disabilities, or men with poor musculature or poor health.

On the basest level, women will be attracted to a man who conveys to the woman that he has the best genes.

Dominance means that the man will make decisions when he needs to in a survival situation, which is good for the family unit/tribe/species.

I'm turned off by the "Chad" guy. I've never had the fantasy of the football quarterback taking my glasses off and seeing the secret hot girl underneath. Truth be told, whenever I look at those magazine articles or books that categorize men, I can never find one that my husband fits m squarely into. So, my type doesn't have a type. But I guess that is a type. I'm attracted to the unexpected. Like if the quarterback wasn't a Chad. That would be much more interesting to me. Not that he was the QB but that he was his own man and multifaceted.

Of course, some physical attributes are definitely conventionally attractive to me:

Broad shoulders
Deep voice
Bulk - I like a big, strong man

But if that man is not also a sweet, gentle, thoughtful, artistic, egalitarian feminist who is great with housework and small children, then no amount of sexual attractiveness will be sexually arousing to me.

Arguably, no guys are ever sexually arousing to me unless I emotionally bonded to them. And I could never be deeply emotionally bonded to someone who didn't love me as an equal and didn't share my core beliefs about the nature of humanity and reality.
