I got the idea for this question from another thread, the one about the 40-something woman who can't find a man. Here's the Daily Mail article that was linked.

This passage caught my attention:

When I was asked, as I knew I would be, had I found love again, my answer was 'sadly not'. Did I think I would? My honest response was that I hoped so, but that I no longer had any certainty.

Reminds me of this article from Kate Bolick.

Today I am 39, with too many ex-boyfriends to count and, I am told, two grim-seeming options to face down: either stay single or settle for a “good enough” mate. At this point, certainly, falling in love and getting married may be less a matter of choice than a stroke of wild great luck. A decade ago, luck didn’t even cross my mind. I’d been in love before, and I’d be in love again. This wasn’t hubris so much as naïveté; I’d had serious, long-term boyfriends since my freshman year of high school, and simply couldn’t envision my life any differently.

I'm wondering how common this is among young women. If you're a young woman (under 30 say) do you feel certain that you'll find love? What about the older women (30+), did you feel certain when you were younger, and if single, do you still feel certain now?

Also, for the men, do you feel certain that you'll find love? Have you ever felt certain?

Please state if you're a man or a woman when you answer and if you're under 30 or over, thanks.
